This horrid event took place in an area where there were no security cameras. How can that be? Everywhere we go there’s a camera, but for some reason they have spots at the 9/11 Memorial that has no security cameras. This is a place that exists because beasts murdered 3,000 people while destroying 2 buildings. And at the memorial site we have blind spots? We’re lucky it was just “Allah” graffiti that was planted. While I’m not a big fan of our being watched 24/7 if there was ever a place where we should have every inch under surveillance, this is it.

The NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating after the words “Allah Wakbar” were found written on a granite seat at the Sept. 11 memorial on Tuesday, law enforcement sources tell NBC 4 New York.

A private custodian cleaning the area found the graffiti, written in pink and black marker, on a seat in the plaza area between the north and south pools around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Investigators believe someone wrote the words that day. No incidents were reported on Tuesday, and the area is not in the view of any security cameras.

After cops were called, the words were removed by a power washer, sources said. The rest of the memorial was inspected, but no other graffiti was found.

The graffiti comes about a week after a group of Brooklyn junior high school students were forced to leave the memorial after throwing baseballs, empty bottles and other trash into its reflecting pools.

Allah Wakbar — that’s a new one. Is it anti-Islamist or pro-Islamist? In other words should law enforcement mount a full-on search for the hate-filled Islamophobes who did it, or kinda take it in stride explaining “These kinds of things can happen occasionally when a mostly ethnic community is under pressure from the majority.”

This is exactly the type of mentality take ignores we have just gone over 2,000 deaths in afganistan that the lamestream media has ignored. It is shameful we have so many in our great country that hates it and us, mainstream americans. And yes TEA party americans. Screw you lamestream media and you libs that hate us. Go find a corner in a padded round room and entertain yourselfs.

I can tell by the spelling that it’s a prank by a kid who doesn’t know anything about Islam. I’ve never seen that phrase transliterated into English spelled that way. It’s more commonly spelled either “Allahu akbar” or “allah-o-akbar”.

Honestly, it doesn’t surprise me. It’s disgusting, for sure; it proves that there are kids who have no respect for victims or for country. I’d be more willing to bet, however, that it wasn’t a Muslim doing it. It was a teenager who wanted to see if he could get some attention.
