Perhaps my favorite part of this clip is the apparent shock of the reporter with Ice-T’s comments. From Channel 4 in the UK, it’s a safe guess that the English presenter presumed Ice-T to be a liberal and would confirm what liberals in England prefer to think. Ice-T obviously surprised them 🙂

Channel 4 London via Mediaite:

Speaking with Channel 4 London’s Krishnan Guru-Murthy in the hours after the Colorado news broke, the self-described “Godfather of Gangsta Rap” vehemently denied a connection between gun rights and the Aurora murders.

“It’s legal in the United States,” the rapper said. “The right to bear arms is because that’s the last form of defense against tyranny. Not to hunt. It’s to protect yourself from the police.”

“And do you see any link between that and this sort of instance?” Guru-Murthy challenged.

“No. Not really,” Ice-T responded. “If somebody wants to kill people, they don’t need a gun to do it.”

“Makes it easier though, doesn’t it?” the host pushed back.

“Not really. You can strap explosives on your body. They do that all the time.”

There are times that I cannot agree with Mr. Ice T, This is Not one of them. I have always been a bit of a fan, even when he was in the band Body Count. Everyone railed and screamed because of one song that they never even listened to, namely “Cop Killer”. Because if they Had listened to it they would have known that the song was about a corrupt police officer meeting his fate. (Being a Police Officer I tend to have issues with corrupt police officers.) But that is beside the point. Ice is a believer in personal responsibility and personal freedoms who was taught the wrong philosophy coming up and has his views tinged a bit by some seriously negative past experiences. But, all in all, he is Wildly correct in This case.

Thank you Ice for putting this Brit Pouf in his place. They have No room to comment on US Domestic Policy, especially as their ban on firearms has Never worked. All they’ve done is make it easier for the criminals in their midst to assault, rob and murder their law-abiding subjects. Then again, that’s the main difference between our two nations. We are Citizens, they are subjects.

And on That note I will wander away quietly once more.

While I agree with little Ice-T says, here he’s right on!

The commentator cannot even answer a kindergarten, common sense level question when Ice-T asks it – if everyone in this room had guns wouldn’t you want to have one too? *silence – Yes but I’ll lose my job if I answer.
Tell me where is free speech when you cannot even answer that question?
Where is this guy’s life going? down the rabbit hole already. It’s tragic. He’s already stopped thinking for himself. btw – in South Africa years ago where much of the population were restricted by the government from purchasing and owning guns, murder was rampant and the #1 choice of murder weapon? the panga or machete.

Love his work on SVU. He is exactly right. Normal people have no problem getting the importance of the 2nd Amendment. The Left has no concept of personal power/sufficiency.
