Finally. But this also illustrates the utter and complete failure of the Obama regime in general and Obama as “Commander-in-Chief” specifically.

Most joint U.S.-Afghan military operations have been suspended following what authorities believe was an insider attack Sunday that left four American solders dead, officials told NBC News.
“We’re to the point now where we can’t trust these people,” a senior military official said. So far this year, 51 NATO troops have been killed in these so-called blue-on-green attacks. Sunday’s attack came a day after two British soldiers were shot dead by an Afghan policeman, Reuters reported.

“It’s had a major impact on our ability to conduct combat operations with them, and we’re going to have to back off to a certain degree,” the official said.
The suspensions of the joint operations are indefinite – according to one official, they “could last three days or three months.”

The escalating violence — including a NATO airstrike that killed eight Afghan women and girls gathering firewood — is straining the military partnership between Kabul and NATO as the U.S. begins to withdraw thousands of troops sent three years ago to route the Taliban from southern strongholds.

Being a Vietnam veteran combat Army Officer I can say that the commanders who make these kinds of tactical decisions are to say the least too late. They still continue to think that communists(jihadist true-believers) are just like average Americans. They are not. They are at their base deceitful murderers who kill by the back stab. The average American soldier are honest and normally fight face to face. These beasts are much too cowardly to fight like we do. The higher command has learned nothing from the past. They continue to allow the best of us to die in armed combat for ridiculous political correctness that turns sensible military operations into childish nonsense. The current US tactics in Afganistan are more dangerous to American soldiers than the Taliban.

      Well said!

The fish rots from the head down, and we really have the Commander in Chief to blame for this fiasco. I can’t help but believe these incidents make Obama smile. He hates our military men and women. He is intentionally shackling the hands and feet of our military and keeps them in harm’s way; all while simultaneously negotiating with our enemies. There is only one result that can occur in this instance…dead American soldiers. He sets a deadline to get out, but what is there mission there now?

Don’t “suspend operations.” Bring our troops home now!! We need a President and military leaders that know the difference between military “joint operations” and smoking a joint.

My sons been recovering from a suicide vest a jihaddi touched off in May. He and his group were likely set up by the moors. Here’s a good analysis. http://cdrsalamander.blogspot.com/2012/09/so-who-has-branch-plan.html?m=1 Bottom line … we’ve thrown it away. Long term – we need to reacquaint the world with a common sense approach to how the US will apply force to defend itself. All this post WWII ‘law of war’ and counterinsurgency stuff is what Sherman amd Patton would call.crap.
