Joe Biden, Uncle Pervy, is scheduled to speak at our local Middle School this morning. AT OUR MIDDLE SCHOOL!! I sure hope he can behave himself. : O

He’d be suspended for many of the things he says. What an example.

Can’t WAIT for Mooch to speak at Hampton University today. Barry has already been here a couple times, so I’m prepared to shelter in place — O-rays definitely reach the measly 5 miles that will separate us. Great photo op at the “historically black” university. Does he feel the need to rally his base?

The Mass. Mayor who banned the use of the term, illegal, regarding illegal aliens, is the Mayor of Somerville. My undergrad. college, Tufts U., is in Somerville (and Medford) Mass. Official address is Medford, but much of the college is in Somerville.

FYI for Tams – Ohio will be releasing the election night results a bit different than pass elections.
Sec. of State from Ohio will release the results of absentee ballots 1st this time around at 8:30 pm eastern time. That will be an estimated 1.3 million votes (5.7 million Ohioans voted in 2008). Results are to be released(updated) every 15 minutes for big counties to every hour for the smaller counties.

Juicy Fact – Obama had a rally in Columbus today (Friday) with crowd estimated at 2,800.
Mitt is having a big rally in Cincinnati area tonight, with tickets given for crowds at 30,000 to 50,000 or higher. This is Mitt’s last Ohio event and they are pulling out all the tricks with Kid Rock starting it off and every top national & Ohio GOPer on the stage with Mitt.

Here is a link to the YouTube post of Obama’s “Defining Moment” ad from the 2008 campaign (10/24/08). Tammy played this ad in her podcast on Thursday.

This is a 2-minute ad, promising stuff we would pretty much agree on and even be enthusiastic about. The surreal thing is, it’s the polar opposite of what Obama has actually done. You hear it, and it jumps right out at you: This guy didn’t even try to do what he promised. He’s a psychopathic liar. This doesn’t require captions to point out the lies. Just listen to it.

We are about to hold a referendum on whether to drive the country into bankruptcy. I would really like to be able to vote No, but the only available choices are Yes and Maybe, so I’m voting Maybe. Governor Romney will try to avoid national bankruptcy, and may fail, but President Obama won’t try. He has made that clear through the spending in his first term, and the OMB projections for a second.

The reason my vote represents a Maybe is that the Romney/Ryan ticket, even if they have majorities in both houses, will have to reverse some very powerful trends to avoid insolvency. Another status quo GOP administration like GWB will merely delay the inevitable, and probably not delay it all that much.

Traditionally America was so rich that we could afford to be stupid. We had a margin of error to cover political ineptitude. That margin is gone. Bush and Obama spent it.

Didja see the one about the “Democrat of the Year?

The Jefferson County Democratic Party has stripped 66-year-old Estelle Carson of her 2012 award for Democrat of the Year following her conviction last week for stealing from a 71-year-old developmentally disabled, partially blind, wheelchair bound woman.

Okay, we all make mistakes. But it gets worse!

Advocates for the developmentally disabled were outraged that the Jefferson County Democrats bestowed an award on Carson with a pending criminal case. They contacted the Jeffco Democrats Jan. 5, 2012, warning them that Carson was under criminal investigation and had already confessed to the crime, according to one advocate for the victim. But three days later the party went ahead and named Carson Democrat of the Year on Jan. 8, saying the criminal investigation and the award needed to be “compartmentalized.”

So they gave this gal the award while criminal charges were pending and there was strong reason to believe she was guilty. It was all fine and dandy until it became a public embarrassment, and then they took it back.

    Democrats!
