Never thought I would see the day that Woodward would display more cajones that the GOP. Gotta give the old boy kudos for his effort on this. Looks like Obully is back to his old Chicago gangster tactics. Don’t be surprised if you wake up with a horse’s head beside you tomorrow morning, Bob.
Bob Woodward said this evening on CNN that a “very senior person” at the White House warned him in an email that he would “regret doing this,” the same day he has continued to slam President Barack Obama over the looming forced cuts known as the sequester.
CNN host Wolf Blitzer said that the network invited a White House official to debate Woodward on-air, but the White House declined.
“I think they’re confused,” Woodward said of the White House’s pushback on his reporting.Earlier today on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Woodward ripped into Obama in what has become an ongoing feud between the veteran Washington Post journalist and the White House. Woodward said Obama was showing a “kind of madness I haven’t seen in a long time” for a decision not to deploy an aircraft carrier to the Persian Gulf because of budget concerns.

Earlier today from Morning Joe, where Woodward noted “Obama’s Decision Not To Deploy Carrier “A Kind Of Madness,” clearly questioning Obama’s competency.
Sunshine is the disinfectant. Woodward had access and printed what he heard/saw. When the White House subsequently said something not consistent with what Woodward had printed, he said, that’s not correct, what I wrote is correct. Anyone who stands up to Obama gets retribution. The MSM is starting to get (very little) that Obama broaches no transparency, no one out of line. Boehner’s mistake (one of them) is that he would have private conversations with Obama and then the DB would say publicly something different than what he told Boehner and Boehner couldn’t call him out because he had no witnesses (and no cojones).
Very Good for Woodward! I would like it even better if he released email. Can’t imagine that he would keep secret an email from Halderman threatening him. My guess is Valerie Jarrett and since she doesn’t have a ‘real’ title like Deputy Chief of Staff, he feels that he shouldn’t call her out, and also he probably thinks giving them a break now will allow the WH to see the error of its ways and correct itself. If my supposition is correct, then my advice, don’t hold your breath Bob.

I’ll bet this kind of email sent to Woodward is a fill-in-the-blank form letter the WH goons can access via a shared drive on their internal computer network.

Be very very careful Mr. Woodward, these people in power will do ANYTHING, to get their way. They are the Govt. Mob from Chicago. Don’t believe me, check out the horrific number of people close to the Clintons who ended up DEAD! They are the power and nobody will stop them. Thus the saying, “The only thing necessary for evil to prevail, is for good men to do nothing”. The good people of this nation have done NOTHING for too long!
I’m hoping this threat is the equivalent of hitting a hornet’s nest, and that Woodward will respond with persistence and not back down. Maybe he can recruit Sharyl Attkisson to be his Bernstein this time around. There’s so much blatant incompetence, corruption and lying swirling around this Obama administration, it makes Nixon’s White House look like the Good Ship Lollipop. Please, let’s hope this is the spark.
What is up with Joe Shmoe’s constant sniffing and loud paper shuffling during Woodward’s comments. It’s as if he is very nervous himself about facilitating any negative press for BO, or that he is actively trying distract the drones who watch his show from letting the truth sink in! I wonder what the body language experts would have to say. Paging O’Reilly! And then he steps all over Woodward’s madness comment. Without me even seeing the entire segment, I can just imagine Joe deflecting the “what BO is doing is a kind of madness”, into, YES it is madness when both parties do this and that and blah blah, blah. Its madness when deadlock in DC gets to a point where things get this crazy. Therefore he would deflect this damaging comment away from dear leader. If I’m right, then I would only ask for 10 points instead of 100, as it was a gimme:)

And I suppose we are to believe that whoever delivered the threat did so of their own volition and without the advice and consent of Obluster.
I wish more people would “blow the whistle” on this administration. Especially active duty and retired military flag officers. It’s their duty. Everybody in the military took an oath to the Constitution, not to a particular party, administration or person.
It’s really disgusting what this administration has come to and what they are willing to do in order to look good to certain people. The scary thing I see here is how many of these types of emails were sent to other reporters and public people and no one decided to say anything?
I’m very skeptical of this story told by Woodward. The media knows that many of us, who are not low-information voters and want to watch and read news, understand that mainstream media exists only to disseminate leftist propaganda and to prop up Obama. I get the feeling this is just a ruse to make us believe otherwise. It’s pretty convenient this kind of story comes out after Obama is elected to his second term. Nope- not buying it. I still do not trust anything these propagandists say.
Debbie Schlussel posts that the rumor is that Obama is going to do away with ICE. So, release illegal aliens due to sequester which hadn’t yet happened. Blame ICE. Then say, ICE needs modernizing, we’re going to reorganize, possibly merge with another agency, and rename. And voila, Obama will have created his internal paramilitary organization while eliminating external protection.
This has to be illegal. Woodward has been threatened by the highest powers in the government.
Woodward should go to the law and lawyer up now. Charge them with a crime! He should spread that email far and wide. He should print and photograph the email. The Whitehouse will know exactly who he’s forwarded it to.
Woodward may think he’s protecting himself, but revenge is big in political circles. What will happen when the spotlight’s off you, Bob? And what about other journalists?
Woodward needs to out the person who made the threat. For his own and everyone’s sake.
And today, former Clinton administration advisor, Lanny Davis, claimed that he also was threatened in a way very similar to Woody’s account.
