OFA donors who give $500,000 get quarterly meetings with Obama. As Chuck Todd notes, this does not look good.

Via Free Beacon.

MSNBC’s Chuck Todd criticized Monday the new fundraising efforts of President Obama’s dark money group, Organizing for Action, calling a scheme for high donors to meet regularly with Obama “the definition of selling access.”

Todd was describing the quarterly meetings that will be enjoyed by OFA’s $500,000 donors, the New York Times reported over the weekend:

But those contributions will also translate into access, according to donors courted by the president’s aides. Next month, Organizing for Action will hold a “founders summit” at a hotel near the White House, where donors paying $50,000 each will mingle with Mr. Obama’s former campaign manager, Jim Messina, and Mr. Carson, who previously led the White House Office of Public Engagement.

Giving or raising $500,000 or more puts donors on a national advisory board for Mr. Obama’s group and the privilege of attending quarterly meetings with the president, along with other meetings at the White House. Moreover, the new cash demands on Mr. Obama’s top donors and bundlers come as many of them are angling for appointments to administration jobs or ambassadorships.

“This just looks bad–it looks like the White House is selling access,” Todd said Monday. “It’s the definition of selling access. If you believe money has a strangle hold over the entire political system this is ceding the moral high ground.”

The perk was first reported by the Los Angeles Times earlier in February after a meeting between OFA leadership and top Los Angeles and Bay Area fundraisers for Obama’s reelection campaign.

OFA is a tax-exempt 501(c)(4) and therefore not required to disclose the identities of its donors, nor the amounts they give. In addition to major campaign donors, the organization’s leadership has been courting corporate donors.

In the meantime, the White House press corp actually asked about this issue. I guess no golfing issues arose. Carney wiggled around for a few minutes then actually left th epodium while questions were still being asked. LOL!

To recap: 1) an MSNBC journalist is concerned about the President ceding moral high ground, 2) the Presidential Press Secretary leaves the building, 3) Romney’s primary campaign advisor sees no, hears no, speaks no, liberal media bias, 4) citizens (who shell out $500,000) are privileged to meet the President.

We citizens are being served so well by the established political transparency system.

You can thank Harvey Weinstein’s daughter for the disgrace we call Mooch appearing at the Oscars to ruin the evening for us all:

“…when it was pitched to the first lady, her response was: “Yes, I think it’s a great idea. We watch movies all the time at the White House. Let’s do it.””

“We watch movies all the time.”

We know, Mooch. The Obama’s use our tax dollars to pay THREE FULL TIME PROJECTIONISTS (8 hour days x 3 = 24-hour availability)!!!! All three are paid outrageous amounts, just like Mooch’s 23 attendees.

    then this:

“They were asked whether the Obama should appear alone or with a group, and the producers suggested having members of the military join in.”

Another LIE! Military members are favorite Obama props. It was the idea of their propagandists, which for all we know, may be some big Hollywood producer, although I tend to think it’s still the slobbering Axelrod…

Here’s to hoping hypertext works in these comments!

So far, the Biggest Outrage of this regime has been — denying the media access to the Tiger Woods/DB golf lesson. The MSM were really steaming mad.

Buying access to the president? Apparently, no biggie….

I just watched the first clip, and I realized how you can tell when the DB is lying: his lips move.

Man-o-man…Was Ayn Rand a prophet or what!?! This isn’t a rabbit hole…Its a black hole that will crush everything and everyone including the DB!!!

    Attention all Tammy Bruce fans!

Tell the RNC that you want to see Tammy speak at CPAC! She should have been on the list in the first place but isn’t – maybe we can still get her there!

btw, so far 41 speakers are listed; only 12 women, i.e. roughly 29% –> not enough women! And gays? on that speaker list not one who is out, if any are in the list at all.

Tell them!!!! But not just because Tammy is a woman, but rather Tammy is a truly independent, important, feminist voice conservatives (and others) are listening to!

  7. This Chuck Todd guy almost comes out swinging but about half way through he starts to ease over into a “Give the DB the benefit of the doubt” and makes many comments about this being a bipartisan problem. Hey idiot! Everyone knows this is a bipartisan problem!!!!!! Now here we have a smoking gun of an actual case of hard-core corruption, and he just wants to talk in generalities!! He still wants to believe in the president so bad that he has already forgiven him halfway into his segment. What a tool!

Barrack Obama is now a whore, for his own purposes. Political gain, for now and the future.

Hey…it’s called pay-o-la…it’s the Chicago way, man…you gotta pay to play…

Have we got it, now? This man will stop at nothing, I mean nothing to not only destroy the country, but degrade the highest Office of the free world.

Fundamental transformation is the only thing transparent about this administration.
