Thanks goodness this man is still with us. He’s right, of course. Here’s the full Hannity segment in which the Vice President shared his thoughts on the current events.

Via Politico.

Former Vice President Dick Cheney is charging the administration lied about the attack on the U.S. post in Benghazi, Libya, and is trying to cover up what happened.

“They lied. They claimed it was because of a demonstration video, that they wouldn’t have to admit it was really all about their incompetence,” Cheney told Fox News’s Sean Hannity on Monday. “They ignored repeated warnings from the CIA about the threat. They ignored messages from their own people on the ground that they needed more security.”

“I think it’s one of the worst incidences, frankly, that I can recall in my career … if they told the truth about Benghazi, that it was a terrorist attack by an Al Qaeda-led group, it would destroy the confidence that was the basis of his campaign for reelection,” Cheney added. “They tried to cover it up by constructing a false story.”

Cheney’s comments are simple common sense. That the Benghazi talking points were political and in contradiction to known fact are obvious and undeniable. These are moments when Obama’s supporters must wrestle with the question: Do I choose to believe what I saw and heard, or what I’m told I saw and heard? When Obama’s people express rage at his detractors, you know they’re expressing their frustration at their internal (a shrink term, but I think it applies) cognitive dissonance.

I want to see how all these scandals unfold: Will the wheels of the Obama Bus *finally* come off, or will a whole bunch of people just get thrown under it?

    • Maynard says:

The wheels won’t come off. The bus won’t even slow down. Obama will rally the troops. His followers believe in him; they feel that whoever opposes Obama is fundamentally indecent and not really entitled to the standard of treatment that you’d give to respectable dissent. Just as I wouldn’t object to harsh interrogation of a captured terrorist who has knowledge of future plots, so Obama’s people aren’t troubled by the idea of the IRS being directed to intimidate the administration’s opposition. They’re with Nixon on this point: When the president does it, it’s not against the law. And indeed, Nixon rallied the troops for a while, and then most people abandoned his ship. But nobody ever loved and worshiped Nixon the way they do Obama. No, Obama’s troops will stay on that ship asserting its glory even as they, and their children, and the rest of us, all drown.

      Let’s see here:
      1) Fast-n-Furious
      2) Benghazi
      3) IRS harassment and intimidation of Obama’s political opponents
It sure seems that Obama’s world is collapsing around his large and substantial ears…or one could only hope.
I personally hope that 3 strikes and he his out!
      PLAY BALL!

      • Gordon says:

Oh…4) Illegal and unconstitutional phone taps (I guess we are in overtime now). The pile just gets larger every day. It’s getting so large that it’s getting difficult to keep it all straight! What a POS this jerk is!

I have a confession…..I am watching TV news for the first time since the election and I am enjoying the heck out of watching Obama and his people struggle. Extra enjoyment in watching Obama’s media pets experience the shock, disapointment and disgusted in their Leader turning on them ;o))

    Is that wrong?

I’m willing to give the DB a full and unconditional pardon for any sins, crimes, or omissions that he committed in this Benghazi mess if it means that Hillary Rodham Clinton gets strung up from the yard arm as a scapegoat. Anything to keep that woman from becoming POTUS in 2016. If you think it’s bad now under the DB, in the immortal words of Al Jolson, “You ain’t seen nothin’ yet.”

  5. strider says:

Where’s Biden? Curious to hear his take on all this mess.

    • Maynard says:

Biden may act like a nincompoop, but “act” is indeed the operative word. The man’s a genius! Rumor on the street is the Biden’s the mastermind behind these embarrassing revelations. Like Vice President Ford before him, he knows the period shortly after election is the best time to drive the president from office. So we won’t be hearing from Biden. He’ll just be lurking behind the scenes, feeding the press leak after leak while quietly, ummm, biden’ his time.

(Do I have to explain that the foregoing is tongue-in-cheek?)

  6. Dave says:

Biden is the kind of guy like a Mafia hitman who says, “Nothing personal, its just business.”, as he puts two rounds in your forehead.
