By now you’ve all heard the fabulous story of our World War II veterans refusing to be blocked from visiting the open-air WWII memorial in DC. Now, Park Police are threatening to arrest Ohio WWII veterans who show up to visit the DC WWII Memorial. Not. Kidding. Someone has given this order. How long will it take for Obama’s regime to blame rogue agents in Cincinnati?

Remember, in DC, Park Police had actually put up blockades to keep people from visiting the site. It’s one thing if you have a museum that’s closed down for this 40% Slowdown, but to put up blockades at an open-air site? Well, there’s a reason why we won WWII and it’s because our troops refuse to allow bullies to run the show, tore down the blockades and visited the site.

In the meantime…

Over at Red State they’re reporting Obama “spitefully *chose* to make WWII Memorial inaccessible to veterans.”

Every time I look at the WWII Memorial story, it gets worse.

It’s bad that the Obama administration closed down national monuments and museums, because it thinks that attacking DC tourism will give the Democratic party leverage over the Republican party.

It’s bad that the Obama administration tried to keep WWII veterans away from the monument that honors them. It failed, of course, but they shouldn’t have tried.

It’s bad that the Obama administration deliberately – deliberately – targeted the WWII monument for special restrictions after a veterans’ group made the mistake of thinking that Barack Obama is a reasonable man who runs a reasonable executive branch, and thus would treat that group’s request for assistance with the respect that it deserved.

But this is the nasty part. This is the part where the spite comes into play… the WWII Memorial does not have a permanent security presence, which means that there is actually no valid, ethical reason why the Obama administration could presume to shut it down for the public. Not that the administration actually needs one. So they proactively locked down a previously-open national monument, and then presumed to tell the men whose sacrifice it honored that those men were not welcome at that place.

Obama is a bully, plain and simple. This, we all know.

But the story doesn’t end there. Consider what is now happening to an Honor Flight group in Ohio currently scheduled to visit the memorial.

Honor Flight to World War II Memorial in jeopardy due to shutdown

Honor Flight of Northwest Ohio has a trip scheduled to depart from Toledo next Wednesday, October 9.

“We will make the call this Friday to determine if the flight is still a go, or if we will have to re-schedule,” Armstrong explains.

He says they are considering going ahead with the trip even if the government is still on shutdown, but when he called the parks service, he was told they would face arrest.

Armstrong says, “I said, are you kidding me? You’re going to arrest a 90/91-year-old veteran from seeing his memorial? If it wasn’t for them it wouldn’t be there. She said, ‘That’s correct sir.'”

When he asked for her name, he says she did not give it to him and then promptly hung up the phone.

99% of veterans on Honor Flights have never had the opportunity to see the memorial that is devoted to their service.

This attitude by Obama’s regime is direct reflection of the attitude of the thug at the top. Make no mistake, this is all about punishing people for daring to say no to Obama.

Truly disgusting. I have contempt for these people.

On the other hand, the golf courses at Andrews Air Force Base seem to remain open. As a matter of fact, according to their public calendar, they were serving curry chicken for lunch today, and tomorrow is taco salad day.

Obama is not worthy to give such an order to these brave men and women who were willing to lay down their lives to stop tyrannical leaders just like ‘his imperial majesty’.

Should interview G.H.W.Bush and ask him if he thought JFK would agree with preventing, arresting WWII vets visiting their memorial.

    • NeverSurrender says:

As a decorated WWII Navy pilot, President George H.W. Bush should be in Washington, DC at the barricades with his fellow veterans. Let obama try to keep a former president out of the WWII monument area.

  4. Alain41 says:

This is the same as the school zero tolerance bullies who suspend kids for toy gun keychain or a dinner knife in your lunch bag. Government has no Common Sense. Not an accident that Thomas Paine titled his call to revolution that.

  5. Mary says:

    This says it all….

If the Obama Adminstration had fortified Benghazi against terrorists as diligently as it is fortifying the WWII memorial against our deserved WWII vets, at least 4 Americans might not have been left to be slaughter and many others injured.

Obama, is truly a Disgusting Human Being, and those that Follow him.
