Via Washington Times: Nancy Pelosi is outraged: ‘We did not treat President Bush this way’

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, California Democrat, said Tuesday that a large segment of the GOP is “anti-government, anti-science and anti-Obama” and that while Democrats opposed much of President George W. Bush’s agenda, Republican obstruction to President Obama is “something quite stunning….”

“We did not treat President Bush this way,” she said. “We thought we had a responsibility to work with the president to get a job done for the American people and we did. This obstruction to President Obama is something quite stunning. It’s something quite different….”

Oh, really, Nancy?

Well, as sportscaster Warner Wolf would say:

Let’s go to the video tape!

Nancy Pelosi blasts pathetic George Bush presidency: calls him ‘a total failure’

And this:

Pelosi to Bush: “Calm down with the threats. There’s a new Congress in town.”

And this:

Via Washington Times: Bush, Pelosi look ahead over lunch

President Bush and Rep. Nancy Pelosi, the likely speaker of the House, yesterday buried the hatchet — gently — as the two sat down for an Oval Office lunch after a vitriolic campaign that put Democrats in control of Congress for the first time in 12 years….

But the campaign left a bitter trail between Mr. Bush and Mrs. Pelosi. She called him “incompetent,” “oblivious, in denial, dangerous” and “shallow,” and often implied that he was stupid, a man with “no judgment, no experience and no knowledge….”

So, George W. Bush was “stupid,” “shallow,” “no judgment, no experience and no knowledge,” and “oblivious, in denial, dangerous” ?

Well, looks like Nancy is correct about one thing:

The Dems did not treat Bush the way the GOP treats Obama:

The Pelosi/Dem treatment was much worse.

She looks upset even after “science” made her look like a young person. Maybe her fingers fell off.

And Nancy thinks it’s Bush that’s in denial???

Rep. Pelosi, I want some of what you’re smoking. I have a much different recollection of the way they treated GWB. UFB!

Perhaps the biggest difference is that We the People, as well as; the GOP House members had no doubt that GW Bush loved this Nation and its people. We don’t get the same signal from this mooselum living in the WH.

She looks like someone just told her that she’s going to have to go on obamacare.

I take what she says about this to mean that the Congress didn’t obstruct Bush’s initiatives the way the current Congress is obstructing the current president’s agenda. The big exception was Supreme Court nominees, where they obstructed a lot. The problem is she’s more or less right in regard to legislation. The Democrats obstructed a lot on regulating Fannie and Freddie, and we paid big time for that, but they didn’t obstruct on budget matters. The problem is she ignores the other half of what she says: Bush tended to be a liberal, so of course they didn’t treat him the way the House is treating Obama now. He agreed with them sometimes, so they had less incentive to obstruct. Bush pushed No Child Left Behind. They raised some resistance, but didn’t obstruct on that. They resisted some on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, but they didn’t try to block those initiatives altogether. Instead they raised cain that “Bush lied to us,” which was for show.

When Bush acted like a Democrat, of course they didn’t treat him the way the GOP is treating Obama. Makes sense to me. He was coming over to their side. The difference was Bush was willing to do the presidential thing and negotiate with Congress. Obama is unwilling to negotiate, but the Democrats once again want to blame the GOP for being “my way or the highway,” playing the old game “Heads I win, tails you lose.”

Want some cheese to go with your whine, Ms. Pelosi?

Oh, if Boehner had even one of her balls. I hate what she has done to my country but you do have to respect that she knew what she wanted to accomplish and did what needed to be done. But, wait…Boehner in a passive agressive way is doing his part in aiding the progressive agenda too. Et tu, Brute?

Right on cue, George Will delivers a disgusting pro-amnesty column. Addresses reasons why conservatives say no amnesty today, enforce border and laws, but creates false narratives to dismiss. Eg, he says illegal immigration is around zero today. Well several points; according to who? the liar of the year? And even if that is the case, if amnesty is announced, the illegal immigration will zoom overnight. Concludes with statement that conservatives should be for growing economy not portioning it. That ignores the millions of Americans out of work and in part-time work and lower paying jobs today. Terrible! Will also didn’t address that the second half of Reagan’s amnesty was never done. Rule of Law, George? Hasn’t someone you know recently called Obama’s actions lawless? http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/george-will-why-immigration-reform-matters/2014/02/13/04e7dfac-94db-11e3-84e1-27626c5ef5fb_story.html

And another example of what is Pelosi talking about. Cantor’s recent op-ed on Making America Work. He does say repeal Ocare, but other than that, total liberal lite. Jobs training, more educational opportunities, middle class hasn’t had a wage hike in years (totally different from raise min. wage). And he has the gall to invoke Reagan at the end. My main problem with it, is twice at the end, he writes that gov’t must provide opportunity. No, no, no. Gov’t must provide freedom, people will identify their opportunity. When bureaucrats are identifying opportunity, you can be sure it’s something else. http://www.nationalreview.com/article/371007/america-works-eric-cantor

Priceless. This senile ole hag of a person has an incredibly short memory. Is that a side effect of Botox? Clearly, liberalism destroys the capacity to recall truth. Won’t somebody please put her out to pasture. It’s time to go, Nanna.
