lerner

Well, well. Did someone take care of their Low-T problem? Of course, the odds of them doing this are low, but the fact that this is even being discussed indicates they may be stirring from their coma.

And remember, the Democrats haven’t given one damn about what the IRS and Lerner have done. They have sided with their party as opposed to the American people, so this is another reminder about the importance of having Republicans in office, even with all their problems, they at least continue to pursue this. If liberals were in charge, violating the Constitution would be sacrosanct.

House Ways and Means Committee Republicans aren’t ruling out the use of the chamber’s “inherent contempt” authority if Attorney General Eric Holder refuses to act on the panel’s accusations against former IRS official Lois Lerner.

The committee voted Wednesday to seek an investigation of whether Lerner violated federal law by using her power to ensure Right-leaning groups were targeted for extra scrutiny by the agency, giving misleading information during a probe of the matter by the Treasury Department’s inspector general and using her personal email to conduct official business, which could have resulted in the disclosure of confidential taxpayer information.

“The Ways and Means Committee, led by Chairman [Dave] Camp [R-Mich.], has conducted a serious and thorough investigation of the IRS, uncovering abuses and criminal acts that should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, said of the referral. “As I’ve said, if Lois Lerner continues to refuse to testify, then the House will hold her in contempt. And we will continue to shine the light on the administration’s abusive actions and use every tool at our disposal to expose the truth and ensure the American people get the answers they deserve.”

Among those tools is the House’s “inherent contempt” authority under the Constitution, which was initially exercised in 1795 during the First Congress and on multiple occasions thereafter. Lerner could be held until January 2015 when a new Congress is seated, which could issue another subpoena and throw her in the clink again if she still balks at testifying.

There go those nasty Conservatives picking on Lois Lerner, a martyr for the Left. Too bad we don’t go after more of them, Holder, Hillary and B.O.

This is also pointing back at Cummings, who went on a racial tirade last time Issa brought this up, ……what liars.

Back up the patty wagon at Lois’ house, shackle her, drive to Congress, pickup Eli and a few others, and ship them off to Gitmo until the trial. Done.

Evidence is accumulating to support a conclusion that the Democratic Party is seeking to establish a dictatorial one-party rule in the United States. The Democratic Party has, for all intents and purposes, seized control of the Federal Bureaucracy systematically converting it into an authoritarian administrative organ whose mission is to create a sort of benign police state entirely unshackled from constitutional boundaries. What other conclusion can emerge from the cumulative actions and policies of this Administration and its supporters in the media and the academy?

It’s difficult for the man on the street to understand what’s been going down under Obama. Sure, anyone that pays taxes has a general fear of the IRS, but this is more of a prejudice and a sense of suspicion than specific knowledge. So when the Democrats go into big-lie denial mode — “not a smidgen of scandal”; “it didn’t happen”; “Republican lies”, etc. — the Democrat faithful will sing along.

(It’s a weird psychological phenomenon that the public is more willing to believe the “big lie” than a small lie. This is because normal people understand small lies, and are guilty of their own small lies. If Obama says (as he initially did) that the IRS scandal was small and insignificant, this sounds like the sort of lie a guilty man might tell to get out of trouble. We inherently understand that he’s covering his rear. So when he pivots to “Nothing happened at all,” even in the face of clearly documented facts, we pause and think there must be some misunderstanding. He wouldn’t lie about something so easily checked and contradicted, would he? No, he wouldn’t do that, because we wouldn’t do that. So we hesitate and get confused. Thus do our rotten leaders play the people like fiddles.)

Anyway, Lerner certainly needs to go to jail; either that or turn evidence that will send someone higher up the food chain (preferably Obama himself) to jail. But it will be very unfortunate if this happens along party lines, because then it will be perceived as partisan squabbling and not justice.

With Nixon, ultimately the Republicans took some responsibility for taking out the trash. Would be nice if the Democrats would do likewise.

TownHall has just published a piece: “BREAKING: Emails Show Lois Lerner Fed True the Vote Tax Information to Democrat Elijah Cummings”.

Cummings should be in the cell next to mid-level Lerner.

I wouldn’t get too optimistic that the Low-T problem has been solved: Boehner, the main testosterone sink in the Republican establishment, has to get on-board first. Still, one can dream.

PS. It will be interesting to see Herr Holder’s reaction if the House throws Lerner in the hoosegow.

Everyone obama has appointed to high places in his administration cannot bring themselves to tell the truth much less care about success of their position.
