….Not only are these trips a cost to taxpayers, but the Obama Administration claimed Obama’s President’s Day weekend trip was to focus on the state’s water drought, yet the White House official schedule shows that the president spent only four hours on drought-related events, and then spent the next three days playing at an exclusive golf resort.
“It is clear that the Obamas continually abuse the perks of the president’s office at taxpayer expense,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “And it is particularly interesting that Obama has chosen to take not one but two luxury vacations back-to-back while inveighing against ‘income equality.’ President Obama’s waste of the hard-earned tax dollars of working Americans on unnecessary luxury travel is an abuse of office.”

The hypocrisy of those that advocate income redistribution while living like kings is obvious, but I’d say it’s relatively unimportant. The country is going broke by the trillions, and productive industry flees abroad while Washington prints more food stamps and hunts for racists; meanwhile Iran threatens an EMP attack…these are the things that will destroy us. The golf outings and expensive vacations are merely symbolic; they’d be ignorable enough if America weren’t on the ropes.
