I don’t consider myself a judgmental person.

Yep, “Live and Let Live,” I always say.

Unless you abuse animals. Or children.

Or, if you’re a Lib.

Then, all bets are off…

So, I admit I had to laugh when Hillary said the Bible has been such an influence on her life.

Remember how the Libs snickered when Sarah Palin said she used to read Bible stories to her children at bedtime?

And, it would have been nice if the NYT had bothered to ask a follow-up question:

“What specifically in the Bible has been most meaningful to your life?”

Probably the part where it says it’s permitted to let your friend be murdered by Islamofacist crazies, while you make up a b.s. story about a YouTube video.

Oh wait…

Via Brietbart: Hillary Clinton: The Bible Is My ‘Biggest Influence’

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton announced during a New York Times Interview that the Holy Bible is the book that made her who she is today.

“If you had to name one book that made you who you are today, what would it be?” asked The New York Times, in a book review questionnaire.

“At the risk of appearing predictable, the Bible was and remains the biggest influence on my thinking,” Clinton said. “I was raised reading it, memorizing passages from it and being guided by it.”

“I still find it a source of wisdom, comfort and encouragement,” she added….

    Excellent Baptismal pic. If only…

    Maybe Hillary studied this verse:
    1 Timothy 1:10 – For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;

Guess that would be the New Testament. Post the 10 commandments.

Shifra, I was appalled when I heard this as well …. but not surprised. Politicians will say anything that they think will get them more votes, As long as evangelicals and Jews make up significant voting blocks they will consider quoting (misquoting / misinterpretting) the Bible to be the “natural” thing to do (not to mention showing up in the pulpit on Sunday mornings). I remember Al Gore misquoting Scripture when he ran for president and Barack Obama used the sermon on the mount to justify same sex unions. Unfortunately most of the New York Times readers probably thought nothing of this.

She’s such a liar, it’s nauseating. She has such contempt for us. The problem with Palin’s statements about reading Scripture is that they were true. Libs prefer the lie to the reality. So, Hilary, you Biblical scholar, you — who is the Father of Lies.

I think she meant to say the Koran.

To quote Matthew 7:16, “By their fruits shall ye know them.” What Hillary is doing is in fact breaking one of the 10 Commandments; taking God’s name in vain. That is, using God, or God’s word to manipulate people. I find this woman to be reprehensible.

The gritty truth is that liberals aren’t troubled by Hillary saying she is guided by the Bible, because they assume she’s just saying whatever must be said to get elected. They object to Sarah Palin saying the same thing because they believe Palin to be sincere.

She’s going to be in for a rude awakening some day.

Of course, our dear president had these deeply spiritual things to say (LA Times, Sept. 29, 2010)

“It was because the precepts of Jesus Christ spoke to me in terms of the kind of life that I would want to lead,” Obama said. “Being my brother’s and sister’s keeper. Treating others as they would treat me.”

“Understanding that Jesus Christ dying for my sins spoke to the humility we all have to have as human beings, that we’re sinful and we’re flawed, we make mistakes,” Obama said. “And that we achieve salvation through the grace of God.”

Although flawed, individuals can “still see God in other people” and help others to find “their own grace.”

“So that’s what I strive to do. That’s what I pray to do every day,” Obama said.

I sorta feel like I need a shower.

She meant to say Rules for Radicals written by her god, Alinsky, who is also BOs god.

God in Heaven is a forgiving Lord. Jesus intercedes for all with a clean mind and heart, who go with humility to Him. I will not judge her, but I do know that actions speak loudly in my life.

A sense of humor is welcome during these dark days. I can only imagine her holding it upside down, reading it backwards in a perverse spell — in the tradition of America and Britain’s best B-movies. Ah, for Drive-In movies and late-Saturday horror shows and Saturday morning cartoons — when all was right in America.

I can’t help thinking the Puritans of Salem were onto something.
