As a society, how petty, how much lower can we go? Horrible.

Via Fox News.

An Ohio Army veteran who says his pet ducks help relieve his post-traumatic stress disorder and depression has been convicted of a minor misdemeanor for keeping them.

Darin Welker was cited for violating a ban on keeping farm animals in West Lafayette, a village 80 miles east of Columbus. He was found guilty Wednesday and was fined $50 plus court costs.

A prosecutor says the ordinance is clear and the judge’s hands were tied.

The Coshocton Tribune reports Welker recently gave away eight of the ducks but still has six.

Welker argued for a change in the law. He said in court the ducks are fenced in his yard but sometimes have been in his house or sitting on a recliner.

The prosecutor in this case should be nominated for AG; he would do well in the Obama Administration. #Idiots

I think this lawyer and the judge need a good ass-kickin’.

Foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of small minds, clerics and politicians…

Seems that there are two out of those three involved here.

You know why they’re picking on this veteran, because they can. It seems his ducks have done more for his PTSD than the VA has. Let’s not even go there. #Jerks

Vietnam era, veterans were not treated well by a visible part of the public. Now, the public treats veterans well but government is intolerant/inflexible. You can bet that the Obama administration will not step up for the veterans. The fascist left hides behind the law and behaves as nothing can be done. Obama WH. hates the military. With them, veterans goose is cooked.
