Are Liberals stupid?
Wait, don’t answer. This is a rhetorical question.
Apparently, Libs need lots o’ help when confronted with facts (or, as Libs call them, “wild assertions”) at the Thanksgiving dinner table.
But, Conservatives are always way ahead of the Libs:

Look, I think the last thing you should talk about at Thanksgiving is politics. There’s too much food, too much alcohol, too much football-related disappointment, and generally, far too many relatives you’d rather not see let alone be related to by blood. But in anticipation of the dinner table conversation turning to (what else?) the national healthcare program known as Obamacare, liberal website Think Progress has released a set of talking points designed to silence conservative family members lest they deign to criticize our fearless leader and his signature achievement.
No, I’m not sure they realize that releasing it this early would give people time to Google appropriate responses, but they also assume that the only person opposed to authoritarian governmental policies is somehow over the age of 120, so make of that what you will….
Their points are as follows:
- Obamacare is not causing premiums to rise;
- Jonathan Gruber did not expose the “real truth” of the healthcare law
- The website is functioning at optimum levels
- Obamacare has lowered the rate of uninsured
- Businesses have not cut back on hours or coverage
Zanotti recommends a good bourbon.
I recommend earplugs. 🙂

What Isaac said. There are a number of liberal articles on talking to conservatives during Thanksgiving. The common theme among them is, none have to do with giving thanks. That’s the issue, avoid joining conservatives in giving thanks.

I thank the good Lord that I’ve been able to spend my Thanksgivings day with my conservative parents so all went very well. No arguing, just a lot of head shakes an face palms having to recognize the state of the world with the DB in the WH. We had an intellectual conversation on survival strategies when the SHTF. It went along the lines of what is the best long shelf life food to stock up on, what is the best water purifier. Which fuel should you use with a generator, gas vs. natural gas. And prayers thanking God that he allowed our relatives to stay in the great white north freezing their asses off. 🙂 God bless Tammy, Sydney, Snoopy, the Tamily and of course snuffy. Oh yeah and what’s the best caliber, .45 vs. 9mm. You know, stuff like that.
I have to note that these talking point are not the talking points of old, because in time they always turn out to be wrong. Remember “We cannot drill our way out of higher gas prices”? With oil falling to lows not seen in years, the left seems to have forgotten that old trope. So remember to remind them of the old things they use to say that they now want to forget.
I believe that I heard someone say that libs who brought this nonsense to the Thanksgiving Day table were the proverbial guests no one wanted there…
