His think tank, the Middle East Forum, established the website Campus Watch, which monitors Middle Eastern studies on American campuses and “addresses analytical failures, the mixing of politics with scholarship, intolerance of alternative views, apologetics, and the abuse of power over students.”
He is unapologetically pro-Israel.
The Left generally hates him, calling him an Islamophobe, and a “neo-Con,” which, as Tammy has astutely pointed out, is Left-wing code for “American-Jewish-rightwing-hawkish-warmonger.”
Using the current situation that Israel faces as a model, here is Pipes’ “suggestion” for France:
