puppybowl

While more than 111 million people are expected to watch the Super Bowl this Sunday, you do have an alternative– The Puppy Bowl! Starts on February 1st at 3pm, and the Twitter hashtag is #Puppybowl. Here are the details, brought to you by Animal Planet.

The biggest event on all fours is back! Puppy Bowl returns for its 11th consecutive year with an all-star, all-adorable cast that’s ready to mix it up on the grand gridiron of Animal Planet Stadium.

Puppy Bowl XI brings viewers a lovable starting lineup that’s itching to play in a winning combination of terrier tackles, touchdowns, puppy penalties, fumbles and Fido first downs.

This year’s big game is sure to be a tail-wagger. For the first time in Puppy Bowl history, the pups will be battling it out on teams: Team Ruff and Team Fluff. And you can get in on the fun by drafting pups in our Fantasy Game and watching their points tally up during the game to see if you can get on the leaderboard.

From barking beagles and spunky spaniels to everything in between, we’ve got the cutest players taking the field on the most action-packed Sunday of the year. Plus, back for another year is the popular BISSELL Kitten Halftime Show, guaranteed to bring the house down! And, sideline reporter “Meep the Bird” will return to tweet live updates throughout the game. Follow @MeepTheBird on game day for the latest news, puppy penalties and behind-the-scenes moments from inside the stadium.

Announcers James Hound, Rott Weiler, Jack Russell, sideline reporters Emily Staffordshire and Akita Washington, and the Lombarky Trophy… these pregame video scripts could have only been written by our own Oualdeaux. I’m thankful for my DVR, otherwise Katy Perry or PuppyBowl XI would be a tough choice.
