Remember when President and Mrs. Reagan traveled to L.A. on the same day, but took separate planes? And then President Reagan went on Johnny Carson to read mean letters sent to him, while Nancy went on The Carol Burnett Show to show off her dance moves?

Yeah, neither do I…

Via Fox News: Obama, first lady fly to Los Angeles on same day but take separate flights

President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama flew to Los Angeles on Thursday for TV appearances but took separate flights, collectively costing taxpayers at least $1 million.

The president went to appear live on comedian Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night show on ABC, while the first lady went to Warner Bros.’ studios in nearby Burbank to tape an appearance on Ellen Degeneres’ popular daytime show that is scheduled to air on Monday.

Obama traveled on Air Force One, which reportedly costs taxpayers at least $200,000 per flight hour. So the price of his five-hour, coast-to-coast trip will be roughly $1 million.

The cost of an Air Force flight like the one the first lady took reportedly costs more than $28,000 an hour….

Not Carol Burnett & Johnny Carson, but Vaudeville on TV. I thought Vaudeville was dead. Yet, the WH inhabitants keep acting as if they live in a dance hall/saloon. And Obama had the gall to say that he doesn’t do the theatrics well. Where’s the long crooked stick?

At least they weren’t pushing Ocare this time. That is the worst. Not just the creepy Cover Oregon folk singing, but the one year ago Richard Simmons flopping routine to encourage signup for Cover California, and the one month ago Obama selfie stick routine to encourage the young to signup. Sharknado 3 with Ann Coulter, David Hasselhoff, and Bo Derek, hits DC this year. Can’t come soon enough.

Too late. Trying to walk back six years of debauchery would make it worse. They have to play it out.
