Hillary blackberry

Libs are circling the wagons around Hillary after the New York Times revealed she used a personal email account during her tenure as Secretary of State. David Brock of Media Matters wrote a letter to the NYT accusing them of sloppy journalism in that they did not prove that Clinton broke the law. (David Brock Calls On The New York Times To Issue “Prominent Correction” To Sloppy Clinton Email Reporting) That meme is generally the defense you’ll hear from the Left on this matter.

So let’s just say for the sake of argument that Hillary didn’t explicitly break the law. The question still remains why did she choose to use a private email account when an official account is provided. Her boss made it clear in 2011, when Hillary was still Secretary of State, that his administration was about better records management and accountability.

Presidential Memorandum — Managing Government Records
MEMORANDUM FOR THE HEADS OF EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENTS AND AGENCIES

This memorandum begins an executive branch wide effort to reform records management policies and practices. Improving records management will improve performance and promote openness and accountability by better documenting agency actions and decisions. Records transferred to the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) provide the prism through which future generations will understand and learn from our actions and decisions. […]

When records are well managed, agencies can use them to assess the impact of programs, to reduce redundant efforts, to save money, and to share knowledge within and across their organizations. In these ways, proper records management is the backbone of open Government

Agencies had 120 days to report to the Archivist about improving records management, particularly electronic records including email. Maybe Hillary didn’t read the message if it was sent to her .gov account.

…describes the agency’s current plans for improving or maintaining its records management program, particularly with respect to managing electronic records, including email and social media, deploying cloud based services or storage solutions, and meeting other records challenges

But, but, her defenders protest, Hillary sent her emails to the government accounts of other people and so there is an electronic record…technically. Yeah, that’s like instead of having receipts for your expense account meals you tell the accounting department to check with all the restaurants in town. This excuse doesn’t exonerate Hillary, it underscores there was knowledge about maintaining email records and a conscious choice not to do so.

Where is the benefit in using a private account? Maybe to sidestep FOIA requests and subpoenas? Can’t help but wonder.

Slippery Hillary is no Slick Willie. She doesn’t have the limber instincts of a con artist. Her mindset is “the entitled prima donna”. For her it’s more succinctly about the meaning of “I”. We’ll see if this is a slip-up or another slip-away. I have a sinking feeling it will be the latter.

As for me? This is a example of “Occam’s Razor”: ‘other things being equal, simpler explanations are generally better than more complex ones…’

Clinton and her minions deliberately and with malice of fore thought sought to EVADE any record keeping of emails because they(the emails) would expose her criminal activity during her tenure at the Department of State. And anyone that defends this is a co-conspirator including the Media. In my opinion.

Bush should have prosecuted Web Hubbell. When you can walk out of the National Archives with documents in your pants and receive no penalty, why should one expect any penalty for setting up a private email account? Archives are meant for the little people. They don’t have a Presidential library. (Which can ban media from looking through it for Hillary’s old documents.)

Oh, who cares about emails? Doesn’t ol’ Hillary look fab in sunglasses?

Sure, except for those emails she sent to people who aren’t in the government…that would be foreigners and a few of us in the heartland. I don’t suppose the American Secretary of State would ever have occasion to send email to someone other than a U.S. government employee? And what about other U.S. government employees who, like Hillary, use their private email account? They, too, can “reasonably” assume the receiver is archiving the email. So Hillary’s system, to the extent that it works at all, only works if Hillary is the only participant who stands above the law.

Hey, I think there’s a slogan in that: “With Clinton, the president is above the law and the intern is under the desk!” Catchy, hey?

The whole US government is corrupt beyond reform.

The problem isn’t that she has a private email. It’s that she didn’t have a .gov email. She should have had at least 3 government email systems: one unclassified and 2 or more classified at different levels, none of which would be accessible via a cell phone.

I also think this is an entirely different situation from Rep. Chaffetz. By its nature, official Congressional business is done on the floor of Congress or in Congressional hearings, all of which is recorded. I understand why Chaffetz would have a gmail account on his card; it is a more personal approach for a constituent to contact him vs. a House email that will go to a staffer box. State Department business, on the other hand, is done mostly in private with email being the primary means of communication between government workers and between us and coalition partners. For Hillary to flaut this shows her complete lack of respect for her fellow civil servants and for her to get away with flauting it shows that we will tolerate elitism and endanger our national security as long as someone has a famous name.

Even though nothing will come of this email crime, nothing will happen as usual because she is a democrat.
Good news is if she decides to run for president, she will not get the nomination,
Can you say “Old And Busted”!

To get a govt ID “CAC” one must have a govt email account, unless that to was fixed for her. Transmitting classified information via unclassified means is known as “spillage” and is punishable by imprisonment. Hillary having this server containing classified National Security importance in an unsecure space, and her deliberate repeated use throughout her tenure should have her in prison by now. In cases like this in the military, you are guilty until you prove yourself innocent. The Obama administration is covering for her on this as they have on all her episodes of poor judgment. Obama admin, Cyberfor, and the FBI cyber people have been complacent throughout her term as SecState. There is no way one could not notice the domain name in an email address.

In my opinion, half the voters would vote for Hillary no matter what she does. Especially those who want their free stuff. Does anybody believe that the likely Democrat Liberal voters really care about this crap? In 2016, this will be a distant memory to them. The one thing that might save us from a Hillary in the White House is that she is too damn old, and the hip, cool people who would otherwise vote Democrat might not relate to her. Then again, Liz Warren isn’t very cool or hip, either.

Funny, the Benghazi Accountability Review Board didn’t mention that her e-mails were from a private address. I can’t believe an internal DoS review would not point that out.
