Al Sharpton’s daughter sues city for $5M after spraining ankle
Shakedown artist Al Sharpton’s eldest child wants $5 million from city taxpayers after she fell in the street and sprained her ankle, court records show.
Dominique Sharpton, 28, says she was “severely injured, bruised and wounded” when she stumbled over uneven pavement at the corner of Broome Street and Broadway downtown last year, according to a lawsuit.
The injury occurred last October. She’s one intrepid lady in that she isn’t letting pain get in the way of an active or activist life.
She was pictured in a walking boot in the weeks following the tumble, but by December, Dominique was good to go for NAN’s Justice for All march in Washington, DC, and for a New Year’s Eve jaunt to Miami Beach.
And despite claiming “permanent physical pain” in a breathless notice of claim, there are social-media shots of her in high heels, and another of her climbing a ladder to decorate a Christmas tree.
The Reverend Sharpton doesn’t know anything about his daughter’s legal claim. Why would he, he asks, she’s 29 years old.
“I just know that she was hurt and that she got a lawyer and she’s a grown woman. [Where] she goes from there, I have no idea.”
Just so you know Reverend right now she’s on a trip, er, vacation in Bali.
But dad, your daughter says she may be afflicted with permanent pain and mental anguish. If that doesn’t interest you, how about the $5 mil? Surely that gets your attention. Especially, as the Post writer points out…
If she scores her legal windfall, she might want to give her dad a handout; he reportedly owes $4.5 million in unpaid taxes.

The Reverend Sharpton, who doesn’t know much about his daughter’s pain and suffering, deleted several photos from his Instagram account showing his daughter at the Asbury Park march.
Heartwarming how he’s looking out for his little girl.
I think she takes after her dad.
The apple does not fall far from the tree, as the saying goes. Or, in this case, the rip-off artist does not fall far from the shake-down artist…
