When I first saw the headline ‘Bill Clinton Gets in Some Retail Therapy at Hermès in Paris,’ I thought:

“Finally, Billy Jeff is getting some psychotherapy!”

But no, he just hit the luxury Hermès, in Paris, for some serious shopping.

Yes, at Hermès, where a tie can set you back $225.

And a nice leather belt costs $1,000.

Via Breitbart:

Former President Bill Clinton did some “retail therapy” during his visit in Paris on Monday….

American taxpayers allegedly paid close to $9,000 for the cars that Clinton was driven around in during his visit.

“Just when you thought the Clintons couldn’t possibly be any more out of touch, now we learn Bill Clinton required some ‘retail therapy’ today in Paris,” wrote America Rising communications director Jeff Bechdel. “For a couple that claimed to be ‘dead broke’ just a few years ago, Bill and Hillary Clinton sure do know how to live the good life. Nothing says ‘everyday American’ like a quick shopping trip to Paris, mortgages on houses, contract demands that are pages long, and six-figure checks for hour-long speeches.”

What a difference 10 years make. Oprah turned away from Hermes Paris in 2005. A false racism story if I remember correctly. Regardless, with the Clintons, I wonder if there was some quid pro quo for shopping there. Hollande’s (now repealed) 75% tax, terrorist murders, and general economic woes may have cut into even Hermes bottom line. France, Greece, Hey wasn’t Cannes marvelous?
