obama reagan

Not sure whether to file under: “You can’t make this stuff up.”

Or:

“POTUS is more delusional than ever.”

Via Politico:

President Barack Obama says he thinks he’s led a new Reagan Revolution. So that would make Hillary Clinton, if she wins, his “Bush senior.”

“Much in the same way that the Reagan Revolution required Bush senior” to complete his transformation of American politics, Obama told alumni of his White House staff on a private conference call…“we’ve got to make sure that we’re laying the foundation” for the next Democrat elected….

“It’s important for us to set the record properly and tell a story about what happened over the last 6 ½ years, less for our benefit and more to create the political climate going into the next election so the agenda that we’ve set continues,” Obama told them….

And, an excellent response:

Via NY Post: Dear President Obama, you’re no Ronald Reagan

President Obama wishes he were the Reagan of the Left. He has expressed the sentiment many times. What he doesn’t understand is that there were two Ronald Reagans. There is only one Barack Obama.

Reagan was both a galvanizing speaker and a canny leader, an inspiring idealist and a tactician who knew how to get things done. He could do the poetry, and he could do the prose.

Obama talks, then believes the issue over. He doesn’t negotiate, doesn’t engage, not even with other Democrats. He thinks the speeches are the job. It’s like thinking all there is to marriage is the proposal….

Obama doesn’t like negotiating, he doesn’t have any experience with it, and he isn’t good at it. What he’s good at is giving speeches. There is only one Obama: The Talker. If the speech doesn’t work, he has nothing left except petulance and executive orders. But what is carried out by the stroke of one president’s pen can be undone exactly the same way….

I think this is mainly Obama’s, I’m King of the Hill and you’ll always be second fiddle, poke in the eye to Hillary. He can’t accept that whomever replaces him will be his equal. Why all the WH history references to past Presidents have him in them. The future must be the same. Ozymandias; Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!

Shifra, your bias has blinded you to undeniable similarities between Reagan and Obama. Consider: Both Reagan and Obama came to office with a mission to oppose an old, entrenched enemy; an enemy nobody thought would ever fall. And yet both Reagan and Obama outmaneuvered that enemy, and ultimately ended the evil regimes not with the weapons of war, but by driving them into bankruptcy. The parallels are uncanny.

It’s clear he wants the lawlessness to continue on after he’s gone. The next Dem will go even further to dismantle the foundation of the nation. Hillary, or whoever the next Dem POTUS will be will see to it. There will be no toning down the rhetoric, but more divisiveness, more shredding of our Constitutional rights, more redistribution, more, more, more, not less.

Like Tammy, I believe any Rep will be better. However, I want someone who will turn things around. I don’t want a slow, managed decline with a liberal Rep POTUS. I want a reversal of all the lawlessness, a re-establishment of our foundation, and reaffirmation of “American exceptionalism”. I want a true conservative President who loves the country and her people. That’s my prayer.
