With 100 billion dollars, looks like the Iranians are literally “laughing all the way to the bank.”

Via Jerusalem Post:

The US pledge three months ago for “anytime, anyplace” access to Iran’s nuclear facilities was more of a rhetorical flourish than anything else, US Under Secretary of State Wendy Sherman said on Thursday….

I think this is one of those circumstances where we have all been rhetorical from time to time,” Sherman, who played a central role in the negotiations, said in a conference call with Israeli diplomatic reporters….

Sherman urged the Israeli public to read the more than 100-page agreement and then judge it on the facts….

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stressed that under the accord, “instant” inspections will only take place 24 days after requested, giving time – he charged – to clean up the site to be inspected.

He likened giving Iran 24-day notice before inspecting a site to giving a drug ring three weeks before launching a drug bust….

Rhetorical flourish about a sporting event or new car is one thing, in this situation it was more of a means to deceive.

Any rhetoric in a negotiation is supposed to be to get the other country’s citizens to support. Not to deceive your citizens. Ie, your rhetoric is advocacy for your side. If your rhetoric supports the other side, then you’re advocating for them.

Another Jonathan Gruber. A government of Jonathan Grubers. Say whatever you need to say to get whatever you want to get. Why not?; the people are stupid and don’t know what’s good for them, so just ram it down their throats and shrug. You’re the Übermensch, standing atop a world of insignificant peons. If the peons don’t know their place, it’s time they learned.

Seems like this whole nations fed-gov is peopled with operatives or turncoats of the other side, using taqia (lies) to snow us with **** to get what they want, (our destruction). Are we so blinded by our own stupidity and arrogance that we cannot see what is being done to us? Wake up people, the pot full of frogs (us) has been heated to the point that we will all be cooked (dead)!

Jennifer Rubin, WaPo, writes that the Agreement says that if sanctions are reapplied, all the contracts that are signed before sanctions restored are grandfathered in and are not affected by restored sanctions. So that ‘snapback’ sanctions rhetoric is also a lie.

And in additional, just rhetoric, information; Andrew McCarthy’s recent column on this discusses that awful nonsensical Sen. Corker bill that changed vote to 2/3 to deny. AM writes that the Corker bill only addresses nuclear sanctions. Nothing about non-nuclear weapon sanctions which the deal also lifts. The Corker bill is worded that way because the admin. told Congress that they were only negotiating on nuclear sanctions. Guessing here, Obama is probably justifying going to UN before Congress because deal includes all sorts of issues that Corker bill does not address. Regardless, Congressional Repubs. trusted that admin. was telling the truth on only negotiating nuclear sanctions and now they’re peeved because they were misled resulting in them looking bad. Gee, it’s almost like establishment Repubs. didn’t believe Tea Partiers yelling don’t trust the admin. Just rhetoric. Jerks.
