Déjà vu, all over again…

Via IJ Review:

The Iranian nuclear deal just struck by the Obama administration as part of theP5+1 negotations has led to rosy appraisals that have a precedent: Bill Clinton’s boast after the U.S. struck a nuclear framework with the North Koreans.

The Washington Post’s columnist Marc A. Thiessen reminds us:

In announcing his nuclear framework, the president declared: “This agreement is good for the United States, good for our allies, and good for the safety of the entire world.” He said the deal requires them to “freeze [their] existing nuclear program and to accept international inspection of all existing facilities.” He said the agreement “does not rely on trust. Compliance will be certified by the International Atomic Energy Agency.”

The president who spoke those words was not Barack Obama. It was Bill Clinton, on Oct 18, 1994, announcing that his administration had reached agreement on a nuclear framework with North Korea….

Fortunately I’m old enough to remember this ‘deal’ when the serial molester, impeached president and pathological lying husband of the pathological lying wife announced it.

And we knew then what we still know now. You cannot negotiate with homicidal maniacs that
have nothing better to do than to plan the complete, total destruction (for as long as it takes) of America.

Deal good for US? N. Korea is building these weapons at a fevered pitch and testing at will. They are even now threatening US. This Iran deal will help N. Korea economically. N. Korea is now free to continue building these weapons for Iran in their cushy oil for arms deal similar to the one Iran has with Russia. Iran has been playing the world with their nuclear program. They decided long ago, it would be much more beneficial to obtain these warheads from N. Korea. Their facilities are already built and they have the experience building them. While the world got wrapped around the axial regarding Iran building weapons, Iran worked out a deal with N. Korea to provide the weapons they were seeking. The nuclear inspectors will never get to inspect the sights where these are stored, so they can report they are finding none. Iran has obtained a small inventory of these weapons since ’09, right under the world’s nose, they were able to bring them in from N. Korea. Intelligence communities have made this known, but govts refuse to acknowledge this information. This, “let’s ignore the problem, maybe it will go away” mentality puts not only the region, but the entire world at risk.
