MSNBC ratings have recently crashed to an eight-year low.

And they can’t figure out that no one wants to hear drivel like this?

Via Breitbart:

On Saturday’s “Melissa Harris-Perry” on MSNBC, guest host Joy Reid remembered the construction of the Berlin Wall, “one of the world’s most infamous symbols of oppression and division,” by comparing it to proposed fencing along the US-Mexico border.

Reid first explained how the Berlin Wall was constructed overnight without much warning, and even though friends and family were separated, soldiers were ordered to shoot anyone who tried to cross….

Reid concluded, “History has taught us building a wall, whether to keep people out, or to lock them in, can have far reaching, and sometimes devastating consequences, just like that wall bisecting Berlin, which the government of East Germany began building on this day, August 15, 1961.”

Conflating walls to keep out with walls to keep in. Nice try Joydini. The Great Wall of China was not the Berlin Wall. Should we take down prison walls? Why have immigration officers at the Canadian border or at airports?

NBC just invested millions of dollars in Vox and Buzzfeed. Any fears there, MSNBC. Oh wait, MSNBC did get something. It got a graphic makeover. Whew, good to see NBC is taking care of its own. http://www.adweek.com/tvnewser/msnbc-rolls-out-new-on-air-look/269746

BTW, Vox Media consists of Vox, The Verge, and SB Nation. So if you click on any of those, you’re supporting Vox. (I didn’t know about SB Nation being Vox. It has some good stories, but I’ll adjust elsewhere now.)

Using her brilliant logic, I suppose Ms. Reid has removed all locks from her own front door…perhaps she should just remove the front door altogether. I mean doors and security systems are surely considered to be “infamous symbols of oppression and division” by thieves and perverts. And they certainly have “far-reaching and sometimes devastating consequences” for those upstanding folks who want to enter spaces that aren’t their own!

Let’s set up a Kickstarter campaign to send this dingbat to China with a placard that reads, “Chairman Mao, tear down this wall!”

Better yet, send her to the North/South Korea DMZ to protest, and let Kim Dong Ding’s snipers pick her off.
