levy

French philosopher Bernard-Henri Lévy (whose son lost his best friend in the Paris attack) discusses recent events in a lengthy roundtable interview with Charlie Rose.

Levy says Obama seemed “so strange” at yesterday’s presser.

“It’s not the Obama which so many French people loved, and saw as an icon…it is no longer Obama….I hope this Obama…from 2003 is still alive.”

Well, looks like the bloom is off the rose.

Or something.

Levy’s ‘lament’ begins @ the 18:00 mark

He most certainly is the Obama they fell in love with. Europe fell in love with Obama because they saw themselves in him—a supercilious, self-absorbed socialist. They were enraptured by a poet now the pipes broke and they need a plumber.

“It’s not the delusion we loved. Can we have it back?”

Maybe that’s too cruel, but I’ve had it with liberals and their invincible ignorance.

And they want to keep feeding their people to the liberal volcano (refugees). Of course, their are people who want to stop it, but that’s the EVIL RIGHT ™.

Another step. Levy is a New Philosopher, ie, they rejected Marxism. But they’re still socialists. He wrote an article this summer criticizing Hollande for acting too slow. Said that Hollande should go outside the UN process re Syria. Just 2 weeks ago he praised Hollande & Obama for not supporting Assad because Assad wasn’t trying to win against ISIS. Ha,now he’s found out who really doesn’t want to win against ISIS. He likely thought that there would be competent Left leadership if you could just get them away from Marx. Once you’ve argued that there is a New Way, it’s hard to admit that your New Way doesn’t work. Existential crisis.

Yeah, I guess “philosopher” is the name of left-wing theorists, at least in France. It’s all leftism to me, and incoherent, except that it’s always destructive. Might as well call it the devil’s philosophy.

Mucking around in Middle East politics won’t help them, either. Islam is incompatible with civilization. That’s its history. And the Jooos don’t have anything to do with it (trying to get the right number of o’s, right Shifra? 🙂 ).

Leftists: Let me see your identification.

Obama: [with a small wave of his hand] You don’t need to see his identification.

Leftists: We don’t need to see his identification.

Obama: These aren’t the immigrant terrorists you’re looking for.

Leftists: These aren’t the immigrant terrorists we’re looking for.

Obama: He can go about his business.

Leftists: You can go about your business.

    Obama: Move along.

    Leftists: Move along… move along.

They were in love with an illustration of which we conservatives recognized immediately and was solidified with the “Greek column” episode.

I’m sure Rose and Tom Brokaw can enlighten Mr. Levy. Lest we forget this exchange by Rose and Brokaw in 2008, AFTER the election of the horror in the oval office, and with their help: Rose: “I don’t know what Barack Obama’s worldview is.” Brokaw: “No, I don’t, either.”

The road to Damascus does have its twists, turns, potholes, and deadly drop-offs. Doesn’t it?
