    Serving my nation started off as a young man’s drudgery, then it became a job, then when my best friend was KIA on Hill 689 (http://www.virtualwall.org/dp/PamplinJM01a.htm), it became a calling. I became utterly dedicated. I loved my days in service and I would — if only I could — do it all over again. The tears and blood left behind were but dues paid to protect my country and those I love and gladly would die for. That includes all of you, TAMS. All of you.
