piggy-bank-blasphemy

Follow carefully:

An Indian newspaper used a piggy bank cartoon to illustrate ISIS funding.

The ISIS seal is in place of the pig’s nose.

The ISIS seal has elements of the Islamic shahada.

The Islamic shahada is a creed declaring belief in the oneness of God and the acceptance of Muhammad as God’s prophet. It is a big deal in Islam.

The placing of the creed on a cartoon pig outraged Muslims who deemed it blasphemous. Muslim protesters attack bank offices and demand the arrest of the editor and the cartoon artist.

Newspaper draws piggy bank to show ISIS funding, Muslim groups attack it as pig is “unislamic”

The newspaper has published an apology for the illustration and said action will be taken against those responsible.

isis flag with jihadis

The bank illustrated the portion of the ISIS flag which displays the same creed (the white circle part). That flag accompanies ISIS killers while decapitating, burning alive, drowning, crucifying, torturing and blowing up human beings. Not blasphemous?

The Islamic State is so twisted.

reminds me of the old western movie line – “this town ain’t big enuf for the two of us.” Seems this world is not big enuf for ISIS and non-ISIS. IMO, that means ISIS will have to go. There will always be chickenhearted folks who are too wimpy to stand up against evil. Just means the rest of us will have to act and clean up the mess. The wimps will fall in line once we do. You’ll find them cowering in the dark, afraid of their own shadows.

Obama says that holding Paris climate change conf. defeats ISIS. Not true, but assuming it did, all ISIS would have to do is yell that’s anti-Islam, and the climate would change in Paris, stat. Obama can say that conf. is rebuke to ISIS primarily because Everyone knows it’s not true.

Instead of graphic to go with story produced by a graphics artist, view as a stand-alone political cartoon by a leading pol. cartoonist. Would leftist political cartoonists and newspaper editors stand up in support? Rhetorical question.
