POTUS is going to star tonight in the Season 7 premiere of “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.”

Which makes sense, since Obama’s presidency has been one big joke.

Unfortunately, the joke is on us.

Via Politico.

Comedian-in-Chief Barack Obama on Wednesday fired off quips alongside Jerry Seinfeld to open season 7 of “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.”

“I always wanted to be in a show about nothing and here I am,” Obama says.

“There’s nothing more nothing than this,” Seinfeld responds. “Nothing.”

Via NY Post:

So, did you hear the one about the president who tried to do comedy?

No joke: President Obama will join Jerry Seinfeld on tonight’s Season 7 premiere of the Crackle series “Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee.”

….If Obama, in the final year of his tenure, wants to spend some time entertaining the country, it wouldn’t be his worst sin. But please, sir, spare us the lectures — because your agenda is no laughing matter.

Btw, Here’s Seinfeld, last week, in Tel Aviv.

Much funnier without you-know-who.

Obama was also on the Charlie Brown 50th Anniversary show. I’d have actually given him points to touching on the Bible reference from the original Christmas show, except Obama reworked and misquoted the scripture to fit his political agenda.

This discussion should be larger than Obama. The broader problem is that mass media is a generic propaganda tool, and just about everything we see is for the purpose of manipulating us. I don’t mind when we know we’re being exposed to an influential force, such as advertising labeled as such (although I get sick of it) or overtly labeled commentators (such as our “conservative talk radio” people, who are open with their agenda). But the labeled stuff is the tip of the iceberg; the human species is subject to mind control. As the (dubious) man says, there is a war on for your mind. And if you have any doubt of how malleable we are — you are — go look at, for example, this video by entertainer Derren Brown.

Very appropriate, A show about nothing and a president about nothing. Don’t get better than that.
