In response to Alan Colmes calling Sen. Cruz’s actions “despicable,” Tammy noted that the implication from CNN’s reporting was clearly that Dr. Carson was leaving the presidential race. What Sen. Cruz apologized for was not noticing, later on, the discrepancy been CNN’s reporting and Dr. Carson’s Twitter timeline. Cruz’s apology shows he is a man of character. But the bigger issue is that CNN is now interjecting itself by saying that Cruz is the problem.

    CNN started the rumor, but it’s pretty clear that the Cruz team perpetuated that rumor. Timeline reports have shown that the Cruz campaign continued with the report even after they knew it was false. Why shouldn’t that matter?

    1,500 precincts were given this false info. A handful of changed votes at each precinct would have had a significant impact.

    The wrong-doing was so blatant that Cruz really had no choice but to apologize. This was major dirty politics any way you look at it.
