Strange. I don’t remember, when I was a kid, anything in the news about Christians being crucified, or journalists being beheaded. Or planes purposely flying into buildings.
But Obama wants us to know: things are just peachy now, thanks to the fabulousness of his feckless Regime.
President Barack Obama, speaking in Germany on Monday, said we’re fortunate to be living in the “most peaceful” era in human history.
“I want to begin with an observation that, given the challenges that we face in the world and the headlines we see every day, may seem improbable but it’s true. We are fortunate to be living in the most peaceful, most prosperous, most progressive era in human history,” he said.
“That may surprise young people who are watching TV or looking at your phones,” he said, “and it seems like only bad news comes through every day, but consider it’s been decades since the last war between major powers.”
Translation: All you dopey millennials, not smart enough as moi — I went to Harvard Law School! — just sit around all day, glued to your smartphones, falling for the false narrative that I was unable to bring world peace through the sheer charm of Being Barack.
After touting world peace, Obama moved on to prosperity and progress:
“More people live in democracies, where they live wealthier and healthier and better educated with a global economy that has lifted up more than a billion people from extreme poverty and created new middle classes from the Americas to Africa to Asia.”
Obama noted that tens of millions of people are saved from disease and infant mortality and people are living longer lives.
Translation: Yes, my Unaffordable Care Act will definitely save millions from disease. Because if all works as planned, people will die waiting to see a doctor before they are even formally diagnosed with any disease.
“Around the world we’re more tolerant, with more opportunity for women and gays and lesbians as we push back on bigotry and prejudice,” he said….
Well, except for certain areas…like Iran and Saudi Arabia, where women live in potato sacks, and gays are executed. But hey, Cultural Diversity rocks!
