When you organize a sham primary system to ‘vote’ in a nominee, of course you think that your voters don’t know how to hold a sign. Also, can’t encourage thought, the little people might ask questions.
If you need to teach your base how to hold a writing instrument then of course you need to teach them how to hold a sign.
