Interesting. Politically, this guy comes across like an old-school Democrat; that is, before the Democrats turned hard left. His focus on the vital issues of our existence as a nation (as opposed to the “squirrel” issues) is appealing. His inclusion should in theory help Trump capture the vital center of the nation, to the extent that we’ve still got a vital center. That would be good for both getting elected and governing.
Flynn didn’t seem quite articulate enough, falling back on the “as I said” and even “you know”; that doesn’t mean his thinking isn’t clear, but it could make it harder for him to make his point in a debate scenario.
It did seem odd that he said he didn’t know if Trump was considering him for VP. You’d think he’d be able to say something, if only that a preliminary inquiry had been made.
In sum, I’m not quite ready (in the words of our feckless leader) to “squirt”, but he’s got potential.
Choose a General for VP, a general who glorifies the role of leadership and praises “intellectual courage” which can be taken to mean don’t listen to anybody but yourself? Could there be any worse danger signal for people already worried that Trump has the temperament of a dictator? Cries that the political right has jumped into the abyss will reach hysteria.
All I have to say, is how can you trust the Judgment of someone who voluntarily worked for Obama? I could maybe understand if it was during the first year of the first term, but after knowing for certain who and what Obama is? working for him in his second term makes his judgment questionable to me. Just sayin
My first thought seeing this interview is why in Gods name is ABC using the solemn memorial to 5 dead police for an interview ! And Mike Flynn should have not allowed it . I’m not that impressed with him & haven’t been on many levels & he may be better serve in some other capacity . His view on abortion & same sex marriage are hot buttons used by liberal media constantly & irrelevant to the major issues of this election . Yet she glossed over all the Hillary negatives. This interview by Raddatz gets a F rating from me .
Where’s all the “VP for VP” chatter….? Disappointed. 🙂
