    Story would be even better if the float was pulled by a car named the General Lee with the Confederate battle flag on the roof.

    Arcadia Iowa, population less than 500. I assume that this was a local 4H type parade associated with August County Fair. A Meredith Willson type parade. Can understand why some would not like. Same reason why when you take your kid to see Santa Claus you don’t want anything political. But this is what happens when elites exempt themselves from the Rule of Law. We little people push back with the activities we control; buying guns, questions at Town Halls & PTAs, VFW, American Legion, Lions Club meetings…

    Arcadia’s original name was Tip Top as it sits on the Missouri-Mississippi Divide in Western Iowa. Highest inhabited land in Iowa at just under 1500 ft. There’s a river bluff that’s another 100 ft. higher. FWIW; Original name for Meredith Willson’s river city, Mason City, was Shibboleth (The Sioux and Winnebago tribes both summered there. Assume that there was some difference in beliefs.).
