Lies

And they wonder why we’ve had enough.

ABC News apologized Tuesday after the Monday night edition of Nightline edited a quote from former George W. Bush press secretary Ari Fleischer in a way that made it appear that he was more critical of current White House press secretary Sean Spicer than he actually was.

“[Spicer’s] briefing made me uncomfortable. It was too truculent, too tough. It looks as if the ball was dropped on Saturday,” Nightline quoted Fleischer as saying.

But Fleischer took to Twitter to complain that he had been taken out of context.

Flesicher called on ABC News to issue a correction, saying he didn’t really care if he got an apology. As it happens, he got both:

Nightline aired a segment Monday night about the first three days of the new administration including Sean Spicer’s statement to the press on Saturday. As part of the report, we interviewed former White House press secretary Ari Fleischer. In editing the piece for air, his quote was shortened and as a result his opinions mischaracterized. We are fixing the piece online to include his full quote and context. We apologize and regret the error.

Did a quick web search on Nightline to refresh my memory. Found that the Jan. 23, 2017, show is identified as Season 27 Episode 16. Season 27. Meaning Season 1 was 1991. Presume that the early shows were simply identified by date. If you’re young, don’t know the history, the Season identification will mislead you into thinking that Nightline didn’t exist when Reagan was President, much less that it originated with the 1979/80 Iran embassy hostage crisis, which was a significant factor in getting RR elected. Shocked that Disney-ABC Nightline would imaginatively edit news into Fake News. After all, it’s Season 27.

(Should ask those who say that Putin elected Trump, if ABC elected Reagan.)

I think it’s safe to say I am not alone being sick and tired of the intentional mistakes of the Media ! The MLK Bust removal is a clear example! We as responsible citizens have a duty to deliver a resounding fight back not only on social media & signing go nowhere petitions But by notifying the MSM & Cable Networks by calling in droves & letting them know we will Not stand for it ! And for individuals like Fleischer & Spicer . Stop accepting the lame apologies! That does nothing to hold em accountable! They are committing agregious malpractice & they as well must demand better.
