Impeachment? That is really a great idea! And here are some really good reasons to impeach POTUS:

Fast and Furious: Illegally armed Mexican drug cartels and ISIS militants, illegally targeted conservative groups via IRS, secretly obtained phone records from Associated Press journalists, lied about letting people keep their health insurance, gave tax dollars to campaign contributors and lobbyists, falsely claimed the money was for “green energy” (Solyndra), Benghazi…and…

Oh wait, wrong POTUS!

Never mind…

The seven candidates for chair of the Democratic National Committee laid out their plans to lead the political party, including impeaching President Trump – a rallying cry even House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi has said is not yet warranted.

One of the top contenders in the race, Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn., cited examples of actions Trump has taken in his first month in office that are worthy of being fired as commander in chief.

This talk of an abbreviated presidency is coming repeatedly and from the very top of the Democrat pyramid. They’re trying to make their wish a reality. That’s frightening stuff, because when they fail, then the rank-and-file will get even angrier, because they’ll believe their “reasonable” expectation that Trump be removed was thwarted by evil. This bodes ill for the ability of the republic to function.

I know we spoke about impeaching or even jailing Obama, but the key difference is we knew we were just making a point about how bad Obama was; I doubt any of us expected any serious movement toward impeachment (or at least not without some unlikely dramatic revelation, such as absolute proof that Obama was born in Kenya, or something like that). And we were the peanut gallery, so we had latitude to engage in hyperbole; the Republican leadership never encouraged unrealistic rhetorical excess (and in this they sometimes frustrated us). Anyway, bottom line is we were restrained, we were decent, we were sane.
