Sen. Dick Durbin is either very stupid, or he has total contempt for the citizens of Illinois.

Can anyone say term limits? The guy has been in office since 1983.

Via Breitbart.

While Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) says he is “focused” and working “full time” for illegal aliens, black Americans in his state of Illinois remain excessively unemployed, far above the national average.

…Durbin admitted that he is working around the clock, not for his underrepresented constituents in Illinois, but rather illegal aliens who have been shielded from deportation by a President Obama-created amnesty program.

“I’m focused on one thing — not that meeting — but on making sure that those who are being protected by DACA and eligible for the DREAM Act have a future in America,” Durbin said. “I am focused on that full time.”

Meanwhile, black Americans in Durbin’s home state are disproportionately unemployed, despite the unemployment rate for black Americans nationwide hitting an all-time record low under President Trump….

Millions of American citizens are shut down and shut out for the sake of 800,000 people who arrived in this country illegally and stayed as guests of our generosity. The fate of these 800,000 is not dire nor imminent. The sentiment is to secure a reasonable resolution of their problem. In the meantime many of our military personnel will need to take out loans to live day-to-day.

Why has the Democrat Party made the protection of foreign criminals its top priority? Why are the citizens of the heartland being held hostage to achieve this goal?

I don’t understand why the Democrat base goes along with this hurtful madness. If the base doesn’t want to embrace Republicans, at least they should be shouting at their leadership to change its attitude.

But it seems the leadership on both sides has disdain for its base; that’s why Trump was able to walk in and elbow aside the designated next-in-line in a rare setback. Call it the swamp, call it the elite, call it the Deep State; it’s a broad problem and an ancient one.
