It is nothing short of a miracle that we survived eight years of Obama. His administration was full of smug, arrogant, elitist, pseudo-intellectual incompetents: Samantha Power, John Kerry, John Brennan, James Clapper, Ben Rhodes, Susan Rice, Valerie Jarrett, etc. And Tommy “Dude, that was like two years ago” Vietor.

Thank God that with the Trump Administration, the grown-ups — John Bolton, Nikki Haley, Mike Pompeo, Ric Grenell, Wilbur Ross, Gen. Mattis, and so many others — are now in charge.

Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power said on Thursday that she regrets President Barack Obama going to Congress to ask for authority to strike Syria after drawing a “red line.”….

“In retrospect, I wish we hadn’t gone to Congress with the—in the red line moment, when we had already committed to using force,” Power said. “You know, I think, that was actually really a pivotal moment where we knew, prior to that point, that many of Obama’s critics were not at the level, you know, things they were for on a Monday if Obama was for them on a Tuesday they were then against them on a Wednesday.”

Power then blamed those who were frequent critics and opponents of Obama for his lack of action in Syria.

We knew that and yet that decision to go to Congress was made—and a lot of people don’t believe this, but in good faith, in believing that, given the number of people who in response to this monstrous attack on 1,500 people including several hundred kids, so many people come out kind of calling for the president to act, criticizing him for being feckless, and then the president turned around and said, “Okay, here, this is what I want to do. Now we can do this together,” and they basically kind of ran for the exits….

Because of the criticism that she received for not living up to the ideals of her 2003 book, A Problem From Hell: America and the Age of Genocide, she is writing a followup book, The Education of an Idealist. Looks like the fall guy will be the organization that has the lowest poll numbers around, Congress. Kind of fun to see Leftists twist pretzel-like when having to address, Put Up or Shut Up.

Ah Samantha Power. Some will recall this clip of Power from 2002 in which she very delicately suggests that the American Jews (“a domestic constituency of tremendous political and financial import”, delivered with a cute little laugh making it clear she was stepping over the word “Jew”) be pushed to the sidelines so American military force could intervene and protect the Palestinians from Israeli human rights abuses and the possibility of genocide.

Power personifies all that’s wrong and ugly in the State Department, and she’s part of the much greater pattern of Obama’s romance with real anti-Semites. So many Jews have totally overlooked this; I’ve never understood it. I’m sure they’re glossing over the recently released pic of Obama posing with Farrakhan.

Thanks for reminding me of this, Maynard.

Samantha Power is married to the (very vile) Cass Sunstein, who is Jewish. So maybe she feels she has the “right” to engage in anti-Semitic slander ?
