American firefighters arrived in Israel to join their Israeli colleagues fighting fires ignited by Hamas’ arson terrorism.
Arriving in the Jewish state under the auspices of the Emergency Volunteer Project, which operates to train and deploy international fire and rescue personnel to Israel in times of crisis, ten American volunteers are combating blazes started by Hamas’ fire kites and explosive balloons launched by Palestinians in Gaza.
“Real solidarity is measured with deeds, and there’s no better way to show such solidarity than fighting shoulder to shoulder against the fires raging on the Gaza border,” announced the US Embassy in Jerusalem….
Over the past 140 days, Hamas’s ecological terrorism has burned approximately 7,400 acres (11.5 square miles) of agricultural lands, destroying nature preserves and natural habitats and causing millions of dollars of damage to Israeli farms….
