Kamala Harris objects to using “hysterical” to describe the protesters at the Kavanaugh hearing.

Agreed.

Here are some much more accurate terms to describe their behavior:

overwrought, overemotional, out of control, frenzied, frantic, wild, feverish, crazed

….MSNBC’s Chris Hayes was interviewing Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., about Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearing Tuesday, which was marred by chaos, and just as Harris was whining about protesters being called hysterical, the network ran footage of the protesters… acting hysterical.

Hayes played a clip of from the opening remarks of Sen. Ben Sasse, R-Neb., where he referenced the chaos that occurred when the hearing opened.

“What’s the hysteria coming from? The hysteria around Supreme Court confirmation hearings is coming from the fact that we have a fundamental misunderstanding of the role of the Supreme Court in American life now,” Sasse said.

But the timing of Harris complaining and the clip being played was priceless….

“There is so much on the line and so much at stake, so to suggest that people who understand the seriousness of this and are protesting the lack of transparency, the lack of due process, to suggest that they’re hysterical is is really to throw out a red herring and not deal with the real issue,” Harris said….

Disorderly conduct. Making a mockery of the confirmation process. The reason our country is so messed up.
