A Florida man has been arrested in his home state in connection with the series of mail bombs sent this week, according to a report Friday.
The suspect is in federal custody for sending at least 12 suspicious packages containing what appears to be pipe bombs to high-level Democrats and critics of President Trump, multiple sources told CNN.
Department of Justice spokeswoman Sarah Isgur Flores confirmed that one person was in custody and said authorities will hold a press conference Friday afternoon.
The man is believed to be in his 50s, MSNBC reported.
He was nabbed in the Miami area, law enforcement sources told Reuters.

NBC reporting suspect is Cesar Sayoc, Jr. 56 years old.
DNA evidence played a role in the arrest of Cesar Sayoc, Jr., 56, the officials said.
Sayoc’s white van, which had pictures of Trump and the presidential seal plastered to the windows, was seized by the FBI and hauled off to a secure facility.
