The second is a clip is something I posted ages ago but is worth a re-visit: Upon being asked what he would do with the military and national security, we get our answer. Obama assures us he will completely decimate our military capability. Because you, know, we're the problem in the world and the only way to save it is to make sure we're completely vulnerable. 10-year-old gives birth in Idaho; Suspected illegal immigrant charged with rape

A 37-year-old man is charged with raping a 10-year-old girl who gave birth last month in Idaho.

"St. Anthony Police said they were notified of the young girl's pregnancy by medical personnel after she went in for treatment at a doctor's office," KIFI-TV reports on its website.

One day later, the ABC affiliate says the young mother delivered a 6-pound girl at Madison Memorial Hospital in Rexburg, Idaho.

KIDK-TV says Guadalupe Gutierrez-Juarez, a suspected illegal immigrant, is being held at the Fremont County Jail. He's due in court next week to face rape charges.

Execute this beast now!

Oh, I also want to know what sort of parents force a 10- year-old (that's a fourth-grader folks, 9 when raped) to carry this pregnancy to term. They, too, should be arrested for child neglict and endangerment.

<a href="http://www.washingtontimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080508/METRO/970320295/1001"target=blank">D.C. to arm police with assault rifles

The Metropolitan Police Department has joined other major U.S. cities in arming patrol officers with assault rifles to protect them against criminals with high-powered weapons, weeks after being released from a federal program that monitors the use of excessive force.

"We want to be as accurate as possible and have more stopping power," Assistant Chief Patrick Burke said yesterday...The Chicago Police Department is making similar plans and the City of Miami Police Department is already using such weapons.

"We need to be equally equipped with the firearms that are being used against the police," said Monique Bond, a Chicago police spokeswoman. "If officers cannot protect themselves, they cannot protect residents." [Wait, wait, you mean guns in the hands of the right people is a good thing and protects people!?!?!? Is it possible?!?!]

Last month, Chicago had one of the most violent crime waves in recent history — 36 shootings in which nine people were killed and an AK-47 assault rifle was used to shoot up a plumbing-supply store...

Now just wait one second. We're talking about "gun violence" and guns are illegal so what are the police talking about!? Uh, and what is this about police not being able to protect the citizens? I mean, is it possible that "gun violence" is out of control because law-abiding citizens aren't allowed to protect themselves?

I can already feel a headache coming on I'm so confused.

Would-be First Lady Michelle Obama illustrates how she's more Non-Mean and Morally Superior to all of you who simply want the Clintons to go away. She actually imagines doing physical harm to those with whom she disagrees. When you start thinking it might be a good idea to install padded walls in one of the White House rooms you know we're in trouble.

<a href="http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2008/may/04/barackobama"target=blank">'I want to rip Bill Clinton's eyes out. Kidding! See, that's what gets me into trouble'

...She is often called 'regal' but her bearing is less royal than military: brisk, often stone-faced (even when making jokes), mordant. Obama works out like 'a gladiator', a friend has said. When people - they're almost always shorter - ask her to pose for pictures, instead of bending her knees she leans at the waist. Her smile is doled out sparingly, a privilege to be earned, rather than an icebreaker or an entreaty...

In Wisconsin, I asked her if she was offended by Bill Clinton's use of the phrase 'fairytale' to describe her husband's characterisation of his position on the Iraq war. At first, Obama responded with a curt 'No'. But, after a few seconds, she affected a funny voice. 'I want to rip his eyes out!' she said, clawing at the air with her fingernails. One of her advisers gave her a nervous look. 'Kidding!' Obama said. 'See, this is what gets me into trouble.'

Yes, Michelle, despite efforts to mask what you and your husband think and who you really are, being honest and exposing the truth will indeed always get you in trouble. As it should.

McCain, once again, is <a href="http://www.johnmccain.com/Informing/News/PressReleases/6dfbbff2-9e17-4dd1-b2a1-87e4287e69fb.htm"target=blank">more concerned with the votes of Foreign Nationals and their supporters than he is with Independent Conservatives. Yes, there may be 20 million illegals, but at least not all of them will be voting in November, especially with the USSC upholding <a href="http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/04/28/scotus.voter.id/"target=blank">the constitutionality of voter ID laws. We ICONS, however, will be voting and we also happen to be American citizens. It still amazes me that he feels we will at some point just automatically fall in line.

He's wrong. When wishing everyone a happy Cinco de Mayo yesterday, he announced a Spanish website for his campaign (and we all know that American citizens don't know how to speak English, nor should we encourage them to), and his intention to speak at La Raza's (The Race) conference in July.
<a href="http://www.azcentral.com/news/articles/2008/05/06/20080506mccain-latinos0506.html"target=blank">
McCain reaches out to Latinos for votes

He acknowledged that his party's image has taken a beating among Latinos as a result of the "tenor" of the illegal-immigration debate during the primaries. McCain said he couldn't gauge the political impact of Arpaio's roundups of illegal immigrants and other criminals in largely Hispanic neighborhoods. But he ultimately blamed U.S. government inaction for forcing local officials to enforce the law...McCain never fully abandoned his support for other reforms, saying that the government needs to demonstrate that it can fix the border mess before it can expect the American public to consider allowing in temporary workers and implementing other proposals that are seen as benefits for immigrants.

"I believe that the majority of Hispanics share our view that the border must be secured, and the border must be secured first," McCain said. "But they also want us to have an attitude, which I think most Americans do, that these are God's children and they must be taken care of, or the issue must be addressed, in a humane and compassionate fashion. And I will continue to carry that message with the priority that we must secure our borders first." [...]

Elias Bermudez, founder of the Phoenix-based advocacy group Immigrants Without Borders, is a McCain supporter who believes that, as president, McCain and his Democratic allies on Capitol Hill could deliver landmark immigration-reform legislation within the first 100 days of his administration.

As I've said, McCain can screw this up, and to remind people like us of his obsession with establishing a new slave class, at the expense of the Rule of Law and this nations' sovereignty, is the beginning of that screw-up.

A post by Maynard

This being Cinco de Mayo, commemorating Mexico's historic victory over the French, it's a good time to pay our respects to the Mexican National Anthem.

Don't get me wrong; I've got no problem with the Mexican Anthem. But every now and then, we hear some goofball whining that the Star Spangled Banner is militaristic and glorifies war, and I want to tell them to go bother the Mexicans for a change of pace. I salute Mexico's readiness to defend the home country against the "enemy outlander" who would "dare to profane your ground with his step." Some of our own "sanctuary cities" could take a lesson there.

Anyway, for your multicultural edification, here is the National Anthem of Mexico, translated into English for your reading convenience:

Chorus:
Mexicans, at the cry of war,
make ready the steel and the steed,
and may the earth tremble its centers
at the resounding roar of the cannon.
And may the earth tremble its centers
at the resounding roar of the cannon.

First Stanza:
Let gird, oh Fatherland, your brow with olive
by the divine archangel of peace,
for in heaven your eternal destiny
was written by the finger of God.
But if some enemy outlander should dare
to profane your ground with his step,
think, oh beloved country, that heaven
has given you a soldier in every son.

Stanza V:
War, war without quarter to any who dare
to tarnish the country's coat of arms!
War, war! Let the national banners
be soaked in waves of blood.
War, war! In the mountain, in the valley,
let the cannons thunder in horrid unison
and may the sonorous echoes resound
with cries of Union! Liberty!

Stanza VI:
Oh Fatherland, ere your children, defenseless
bend their neck beneath the yoke,
may your fields be watered with blood,
may they leave their footprints in blood.
And may your temples, palaces and towers
collapse with horrid clamor,
and their ruins continue on, saying:
Of a thousand heroes, this fatherland was.

Stanza X:
Oh, Fatherland, Fatherland, your children swear to you
to breathe their last for your sake,
if the bugle with its warlike accent
should call them to fight with courage.
For you the olive wreathes!
A memory for them of glory!
For you a laurel of victory!
A tomb for them of honor!

While we love our terrestrial affiliates, the ratings are in for February 1st through April 30th, and I'm proud to say Tammy Radio is the number one internet radio program, big time! TSL says we're an 800-pound gorilla. I'd rather be a 125-pound gorilla, but I'll take it :) I want to thank all of you for making this possible. Now let's keep it going!

<a href="http://talkstreamlive.wordpress.com/2008/05/01/the-top-25-talk-radio-rpt-xxiii/"target=blank">The Top 25 Talk Radio Rpt XXIII

The 800 pound gorilla has entered the room and her name is Tammy… You better be nice to her because Tammy Bruce has the #1 Talk Radio show on the Internet. Her amazing 18.9 share is an all time high at Talk Stream Live and it’s still growing! (the great John Mainelli would know what to do). Rush Limbaugh sheds 4 tenths and Laura Ingraham is now the third most listened to talk show. Michael Savage drops 6 and Glenn Beck gives back 3 tenths. Also, notable is that Mark Levin is in the top ten, and good old Rusty Humphries makes the top 25 list.

Scientists, most of whom represent the epitome of narcissism, once again get their boxers in a twist trying to explain the one thing they will never be able to explain--the Divine. Scientists, you see, unable to comprehend something beyond themselves, have decided that faith and God is all in our heads. With their incredible imaginations, funny how they've just never been able to figure out that 'Big Bang' theory. Yes, my friends, that sound you hear is God laughing. You should, too. Weave pity in there for the 'scientists' while you're at it.

<a href="http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn13782-religion-a-figment-of-human-imagination.html"target=blank">Religion a figment of human imagination

Humans alone practice religion because they're the only creatures to have evolved imagination.

That's the argument of anthropologist Maurice Bloch of the London School of Economics. Bloch challenges the popular notion that religion evolved and spread because it promoted social bonding, as has been argued by some anthropologists.

Instead, he argues that first, we had to evolve the necessary brain architecture to imagine things and beings that don't physically exist, and the possibility that people somehow live on after they've died..."Religious-like phenomena in general are an inseparable part of a key adaptation unique to modern humans, and this is the capacity to imagine other worlds, an adaptation that I argue is the very foundation of the sociality of modern human society."

"Once we realise this omnipresence of the imaginary in the everyday, nothing special is left to explain concerning religion," he says..."As soon as you have theory of mind, you have the possibility of deceiving others, or being deceived," he says. This, in turn, generates a sense of fairness and unfairness, which could lead to moral codes and the possibility of an unseen "enforcer" - God – who can see and punish all wrong-doers.

Maynard's comment

It should be remembered that science cannot explain the phenomena of consciousness and free will, and that free will in fact provably cannot exist, in that it violates fundamental laws of causality and/or probability. Some scientists address this conundrum by suggesting that free will is merely an illusion. You can believe that if you (ahem!) so choose. The rest of us must acknowledge that there is a supernatural aspect to our existence.

These pompous academic dismissals are the words of educated imbeciles who are offended by the notion of any Authority higher than themselves. Arguments like this, while cloaked in words of reason, are in fact appeals to Man's vanity.

What is God? What does He want of us? These are questions we can (and should) debate and discuss. But, setting aside the specifics of theology...as the man said, "There are more things in heaven and Earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy."

Hey! While we're on the subject...This is exactly what the movie Expelled is about. See it!

Thanks :)

Once again, I have the honor of filling in for Laura tomorrow, Monday, May 5, 6am-9am PT. Yes, it is <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cinco_de_Mayo"target=blank">Cinco de Mayo. As most of you can imagine, I wouldn't necessarily suggest we all celebrate a Mexican holiday but in this instance it's special. Many think Cindo de Mayo is the Mexican Independence Day. That's not true--it's even better! The 5th of May is the day the Mexican defeated the French who were attempted to invade them. Oh sure, the French eventually occupied Mexico City, but the Mexicans eventually won.

Yes, even the Mexicans have defeated the French, and it is a holiday worth celebrating. So, have a Margarita, and perhaps some delicious Mexican food and offer a toast to the Mexicans who knew Mexico was worth fighting for. Those of us fighting for the border wall still believe that.

<a href="http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/05/04/opinion/polls/main4069259.shtml"target=blank">CBS Poll: Support For Obama Rebounds

Democrat Barack Obama appears to have rebounded from some of the damage caused by the controversy surrounding his former pastor Rev. Jeremiah Wright, according to the latest CBS News/New York Times poll.

On one key measure, Obama has seen a big reversal since his denunciation of Wright’s remarks on Tuesday. He now leads presumptive Republican nominee John McCain in the hypothetical fall contest by eleven points, 51 percent to 40 percent. That compares to a tied match-up in a CBS News/New York Times poll that was released last Wednesday.

Positive assessments of how Obama has handled the situation with Wright are also reflected by a continued lead over fellow Democrat Hillary Clinton in his battle for their party’s nomination. Among Democratic primary voters (those who have voted or plan to vote in a Democratic primary) Obama’s lead over Clinton has increased -- he now leads Clinton by twelve points, 50 percent to 38 percent. That’s up from his eight point lead in the poll released just a few days ago...

The poll also shows good news for both Democrats in a campaign versus McCain in the fall. Just like Obama, Clinton’s lead over McCain has jumped, from 5 to 12 points.

And the Feds are sure, just sure, that it's the fault of the French and the Joooooz! Boy, if that's not a double-header for both Islamists and Amnesty Shills I don't know what is! No matter how much they try to avoid it, the truth of the matter is, the flood of people coming in at the southern border are from third-world countries with no national health care of immunization system. As a result, we've seen epidemics of mumps and measles and other diseases we thought the civilized world had vanquished. Another perk brought to you by those who want a new slave class, which now saddles your children with a potentially deadly disease.

<a href="http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5h5RUBipAyiI-uucGYl4EenF8JHJwD90D2L080"target=blank">CDC: Measles cases in US top 70, highest in 6 years

Measles outbreaks in several states have led to more than 70 cases so far this year, the worst in six years, health officials said Thursday. Most of the cases have been traced to outbreaks overseas and are mainly in children who were not vaccinated for religious or other reasons [Other reasons? Yeah, like the "being from Mexico" reason] or were too young, according to the Centers for Disease control and Prevention. Since measles vaccinations began in the early 1960s, cases have dramatically declined in the U.S.

So far this year, the CDC has confirmed reports of 64 cases in nine states. There were no deaths, but 14 people were hospitalized, said CDC spokesman Curtis Allen...Measles is caused by a virus that normally grows in cells that line the back of the throat and line the lungs. It spreads through contact with a sneezing, coughing, infected person.

Symptoms include rash, high fever, cough, runny nose, and red, watery eyes. But about 1 in 5 measles sufferers experience more severe illness that can include diarrhea, ear infections, pneumonia, encephalitis and even seizures and death.

Of the 64 cases reported to the CDC as of last week, 63 were unvaccinated or it wasn't known if they were vaccinated. At least 54 of the cases stemmed from outbreaks in Switzerland, Israel or other countries, Allen said. [Gee, I wonder what the breakdown is, and what those other 'unnamed' countres are. Hmmm.]
