Shifra’s Reflections on the Election
by Shifra on November 25, 2012**A Post by Shifra** TAM VitadMD wrote the following on FaceBook, and she posted it on the TAMWire. She has graciously consented to allow me to reprint it here. My response follows: A long 10 days of darkness and cold due to destructive wind, rain, and snow produced a certain kind of anxiety and frustration all too familiar living in Westchester, NY. As depressing as that was, it paled in comparison to an even more foreboding darkness of spirit after the disaster of Election Day 2012. That night, in an emotionally crushing but not entirely surprising manner, our electoral resistance suffered a severe setback – resistance to the occupation (“Occupy Wall Street” has officially become “Occupy America”), to the “revengers”...

America Votes for the Status Quo
by Tammy on November 6, 2012It seems a majority want to continue with high unemployment, no budget, trillions in deficits, a world in chaos, high taxes and the destruction of small business. With the re-election of Obama, Republicans staying in control of House and Dems of the Senate, it’s going to be a very busy 4 more years. I’ll assess what all this means in tomorrow’s Tammy Radio, which again will be at 8am PT, after which I again go to PJTV. Obviously not the result any of us wanted, but our commitment to our principles has not wavered. As of this post, I don’t know the ultimate popular vote count, but Obama is millions short of what he had in 2008, so we know...

Revenge or Love of Country?
by Tammy on November 3, 2012The terrific new Romney ad highlights Obama’s craven (and revealing) off-the-cuff remark encouraging his supporters to vote for “revenge.” Not us–we’re voting for love of country, our families, and the future.

Romney Makes Closing Argument: “I Will Lead America To A Better Place”
by Tammy on November 2, 2012From earlier today in Wisconsin. Enjoy. As a follow up, Michael Barone is calling it for Romney: Barone: Going out on a limb: Romney beats Obama, handily Fundamentals usually prevail in American elections. That’s bad news for Barack Obama. True, Americans want to think well of their presidents and many think it would be bad if Americans were perceived as rejecting the first black president. But it’s also true that most voters oppose Obama’s major policies and consider unsatisfactory the very sluggish economic recovery — Friday’s jobs report showed an unemployment uptick. Also, both national and target state polls show that independents, voters who don’t identify themselves as Democrats or Republicans, break for Romney. That might not matter if Democrats...

Ohio: Another Voting Problem As Ballot Cast for Romney Comes Up Obama
by Tammy on October 31, 2012Weird. Why is it these to-be-expected technical problems with voting machines never switch out an Obama vote for a Romney vote? We know these things matter. With 2000 decided in Florida by a few hundred votes and that MN Franken/Coleman race decided by a few hundred, every vote counts. Via the Marion Star. Joan Stevens was one of several early voters at the polls on Monday. But when Stevens tried to cast her ballot for president, she noticed a problem. Upon selecting “Mitt Romney” on the electronic touch screen, Barack Obama’s name lit up. It took Stevens three tries before her selection was accurately recorded. “You want to vote for who you want to vote for, and when you can’t...

How Team Romney See the Polls
by Tammy on October 29, 2012A very good analysis of the polls and the state versus national standing situation for Romney/Ryan as it stands now. We’re 8 days away peeps–we must give it all we’ve got. Presidents Washington, Lincoln and Reagan gave our great nation their all and they expect nothing less from us. Via Byron York at the Washington Examiner. …How does Team Romney read the situation? After discussions with various experts inside and outside the Romney circle, it appears the thinking is roughly like this: On one hand, Ohioans have seen a different campaign from Americans in most other states. People in Ohio have been subjected to an unprecedented amount of campaigning, both from the candidates in person and especially in the form...

CIA operators were denied request for help during attack; Hillary Asked for more security in Benghazi, Obama refused
by Tammy on October 26, 2012Horrible news confirming politics, i.e., Obama’s concern for his career, almost certainly played a role in the deaths of our four Americans. Jennifer Griffin does incredible reporting here, this is explosive. There were three separate requests for help that were denied. As requests for help were received everyone was told to stand down. There’s more, please watch the video and click through the links. Watch the latest video at video.foxnews.com Also this: Examiner: Clinton asked for more security in Benghazi, Obama said no Last night, it was revealed that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had ordered more security at the U.S. mission in Benghazi before it was attacked where four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens were murdered by Al-Qaeda...

Beluga Joe Biden: Clicks and Gestures, Makes No Sense
by Pat_S on October 25, 2012Priceless, Georgia Aquarium Chief Zoological Officer likens Joe Biden to whale that imitates human sounds. Steve Docey: We saw the video and it sounds like that thing is trying to say something. Hurley: Kind of reminds you of Joe Biden at times. Hurley: I think it is it clear it is a mimickry moment. It is not an issue to talk. They do communicate with each other with body gestures and clicks and whistles. … Yes, lots of similarities, blowholes, gestures to communicate, not really saying anything. One difference, the whale can’t put his foot in his mouth.
