Pence, McConnell, and McCarthy Are Skipping Trump’s Departure Ceremony
by Tammy on January 19, 2021That’s fine. He came in with the support of the American people and leaves with the support of the American people. Having the establishment not show up is typically petty and not exactly going to ruin Trump’s day. What it does tell you is everyone still recognizes that he’s actually still a powerhouse, and they remain as small as they were when he took office. Every step they take which is actually an insult to 75 million voters, will be remembered. Via Business Insider. Vice President Mike Pence and the top two Republicans in Congress, soon-to-be Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, plan to skip President Donald Trump’s departure ceremony on Wednesday morning. Trump, bucking...

Ex-Rep. Eric Cantor: Obamacare “Repeal” Was Tactic to Win Elections
by Shifra on July 27, 2017Compulsion to confess…from a prominent Swamp Creature. Via BizPac Review. ….Former Republican House majority leader Eric Cantor revealed that though the GOP banged the drum of repealing Obamacare for years, he “never believed” it was going to happen. “To give the impression that if Republicans were in control of the House and Senate, that we could do that when Obama was still in office . . . .” the former Virginia congressman told the Washingtonian, shaking his head. “I never believed it.” Cantor was at the forefront of the charge to repeal former President Obama’s signature policy, making the hot button issue a central part of the GOP rhetoric. Supporters were promised that if and when Republicans ruled the Senate...

Paul Ryan Says He’ll Sue Trump to Stop Immigration Suspension
by Tammy on June 17, 2016In an interview with the liberal rag Huffington Post, Paul Ryan took another swipe not just at Donald Trump, but every American who has already voted for him, and those who will. Via Fox News Radio. It’s astounding that the Speaker of the House, who is claiming to support Donald Trump, says he’ll take him to court if he tries to enact the policies he’s running on, like banning Muslims In an interview with the Huffington Post Thursday, Ryan floated taking a President Trump to court if he tried to implement such a ban or some of his other controversial proposals unilaterally. “I would sue any president that exceeds his or her powers,” Ryan said in a back-and-forth about Trump’s...

Report: RNC Asked Trump To Remain Silent Following Orlando Shooting
by Tammy on June 13, 2016Not surprised. This is exactly the sort of reaction you get from a gaggle of scared children. Trump obviously didn’t follow their advice. Via Mediaite. According to a report from NBC News, the Republican Party officials asked Donald Trump not to speak out in the wake of the Orlando terrorist attack, a request Trump decided to ignore. “A source who works closely with the Trump campaign, granted anonymity in order to speak freely to NBC News, said after Sunday’s attack that the party had asked the candidate to offer condolences and then to stay silent,” they reported Monday afternoon. “Trump clearly chose a different approach.” Did he ever; Trump first courted controversy by appearing to crow about being vindicated by...

Well, Well. New PPP Poll Says McCain “In Deep Trouble” in GOP Primary
by Tammy on May 19, 2016It’s about time. I guess this would confirm in his mind that the voters are “bastards.” Via Public Policy Polling. PPP’s new Arizona poll finds that John McCain has a negative approval rating with Republican primary voters, and is at pretty serious risk of losing nomination for another term. Only 35% of GOP voters approve of the job McCain is doing to 50% who disapprove. He’s in particularly poor standing with conservative voters. Among ‘somewhat conservative’ voters his approval spread is 33/52, and among ‘very conservative’ voters it drops all the way down to 18/67. McCain is polling at only 39% in the Republican primary field. He’s benefiting from having multiple opponents. Kelli Ward is at 26%, Alex Meluskey at...

Boehner Calls Ted Cruz ‘Lucifer in the Flesh,’ & ‘Miserable SOB’
by Tammy on April 28, 2016Upon first seeing this I burst out laughing. If there was ever an endorsement about who will stand up to the establishment, it’s this. In an interview with the Stanford Daily, Boehner also made it clear he’d vote for Trump, and thinks Hillary is “smart and accomplished” (Ambassador Stevens might disagree). Bottom line: tells you everything you need to know about who the establishment fears the most. Via The Hill. Former Speaker John Boehner panned Ted Cruz as “Lucifer in the flesh” during comments at an event Wednesday night at Stanford University. “I have Democrat friends and Republican friends. I get along with almost everyone,” Boehner (R-Ohio) said, according to The Stanford Daily. “But I have never worked with a...

U2 Singer Bono to Senate Committee: We Can Defeat ISIS with Comedy
by Tammy on April 13, 2016Sure. Who knew Bono was an international terrorism expert? I wonder how many Hollywood comedians are ready to “humiliate” ISIS in order to help defeat them? Actually, I do have a good laugh when we blow up terrorists. Now that’s my kind of comedy! But here’s what I really want to know: Why in God’s name is the GOP-controlled Senate inviting this guy to speak to them about the existential threat we all face? Video via WSJ. Via The Wrap. “I think comedy should be deployed,” before comparing ISIS to “show businesses.” The Senate Appropriations Subcommittee brought in the rock star during yesterday’s hearing to discuss what role foreign aid should play in stopping violent extremism. Bono’s suggestion was quite...

[Audio] Ingraham: Conservative Media, Establishment Ridicule Working People As “Meth-Heads, Horrible Fathers, Angry, Stupid Crackers”
by Tammy on April 13, 2016She’s right. The attacks on Trump voters and those who’ve had enough of being volcano sacrifices for the establishment are the target. And if the system manages to force the nomination of a loser like Kasich, when we lose to Hillary the GOP bureaucracy will then try to blame Trump, Cruz, and every American who rejected system’s corrupt and dangerously failed approach to the world. The only way to stop that is to stop them now and in November. As Tammy Radio listeners, of course, you know this because we have this discussion all the time. It’s important to overcome the GOP bureaucracy narrative that all is chaos and Trump and Cruz are disasters. That is false. Dont let them...

Now He’s Just a Troll: Kasich Calls for Trump, Cruz to ‘Consolidate Behind Me’
by Tammy on March 27, 2016Sure. The man who came in 4th in a 3 man race in Arizona. Kasich is giving Obama a run for his money when it comes to malignant narcissism. Via NRO. Donald Trump and Ted Cruz should suspend their campaigns and “consolidate” behind John Kasich, John Kasich suggested this morning during an appearance on Meet the Press. “Ted Cruz’s campaign is repeatedly called for you to get out,” host Chuck Todd said. ”Saying a vote for you is a vote for Donald Trump. … If you thought your position in this race strengthened Trump, would you get out?” “Chuck, I’m beating Hillary by 11 points,” Kasich replied. ”I’m the only one that can win in the fall. And as you...

Senate Says They Won’t Hold Hearings on Obama SCOTUS Nominee
by Tammy on February 23, 2016Can we believe them? Have they finally realized we’re in charge? We must keep an eye on this, I personally don’t trust them. Everyone must be ready to call not just about this but about the Gitmo closure as well. Keep your powder dry… Via UPI. Republican members of the Senate Judiciary Committee say they have come to a consensus that there should be no hearings on a Supreme Court nominee this year to replace Justice Antonin Scalia. “We believe the American people need to decide who is going to make this appointment rather than a lame-duck president,” The Hill quoted Senate Republican Whip John Cornyn of Texas as saying after a special meeting of the Judiciary Committee. Sen. Lindsey...

Congress Provides $1.6B to Resettle Illegal Immigrants Arriving at Border Through 2018
by Tammy on December 17, 2015Courtesy of the Republican-controlled Congress. And they wonder why Trump and Cruz are doing so well. Via Free Beacon. A massive appropriations bill expected to be approved by Congress would provide more than $1.6 billion to resettle illegal immigrants arriving at the U.S. border through 2018. Congress would award the massive check to the government just as the U.S. is experiencing a surge in arrivals of immigrant children at the southern border. Last week, federal agencies said they were opening two temporary shelters with 1,000 beds in South Texas to cope with the surge. A 400-bed shelter is also to be opened in Southern California. “Out of an abundance of caution, the Office of Refugee Resettlement at the Department of...

Gowdy to GOP Colleagues: Shut Up About Benghazi, “You Don’t Know Anything”
by Tammy on October 18, 2015Sigh. This may in fact be the case, but does he need to say this on national television? I believe in this mission of the Benghazi committee, but this back and forth highlights how there is a lack of discipline which is cultivated by leadership in Congress, and a lack of communication between everyone. Which means there is an indictment of someone, finally from Congress: of John Boehner, Mitch McConnell and Reince Priebus who have allowed this dysfunction because they’re too busy protecting their “moderate” turf. What you’re seeing now in Congress confirms that failed current “leadership” and the importance of the achievement of Boehner’s resignation and the collapse of McCarthy. There is so much at stake, they had better...

Finally. Boehner Resigning From Congress~~ Open Thread
by Tammy on September 25, 2015Will not miss him. Boehner is stepping down from his leadership post and resigning his seat on October 30th. This caught everyone by surprise, but for those of us who are conservative and want our leaders to be, well, leaders and not bureaucratoc managers, this is excellent news. Boehner’s departure creates an opening for actual leadership, but will the GOP machine listen to the demands of the base for an actual conservative vision to be pursued? So, the question becomes, who will replace him? Here is the latest. This is obviously excellent news as we prepare for Obama to go into overdrive implementing his destructive agenda. Real leadership is required to stop him, and now perhaps we may just get...

House Republicans Weigh Coup Against Boehner
by Tammy on March 6, 2015Let them weigh and then act. Enough is enough. And if the challengers can’t organize themselves enough to oust Boehner, then they also won’t be able to organize enough to stop Obama’s lawlessness. Let’s see what they can do, but someone has got to make the first move. This is becoming ridiculous. Via Washington Times. Rank-and-file Republicans are openly contemplating a coup against House Speaker John A. Boehner and his top lieutenants after a series of self-inflicted legislative fumbles and political defeats in the first weeks of the congressional session. This week’s retreat from the standoff over Homeland Security Department funding and President Obama’s deportation amnesty was only the latest embarrassment for Republican leaders, who also have had to yank...

Report From Mississippi: Haley Barbour Meets With Julian Castro On Amnesty
by dachiemama on August 13, 2014**Bumped up from TAM Wire. Posted by dachiemama** Former Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour, who, with his son, Henry, was behind all of the racist attacks on state Senator Chris McDaniel, is now collaborating with Julian Castro. A popular, two-term governor, Barbour provided leadership to the state after Hurricane Katrina, but at the end of his second term, he left many people in Mississippi with a bad taste in their mouths after he pardoned a number of convicted felons, one of whom killed his wife on a public street shortly after being released. McDaniel lost to Barbour-backed Thad Cochran in the Republican primary after the Barbours enlisted the help of Democrats in a runoff for the Senate race on June 24...
