Lebanon Bans the New Wonder Woman Movie
by Tammy on May 31, 2017Ridiculous, but highlights the Israeli and Jew-hating madness that engulfs that region. Via AP. A Lebanese security official says authorities have banned the new “Wonder Woman” movie following a campaign against its lead actress, who served in the Israeli army. Lebanon is officially at war with Israel. The ban is in accordance with a decades-old law that boycotts Israeli products and bars Lebanese citizens from traveling to Israel or having contacts with Israelis. Maynard’s Movie Note: American Pastoral
by Maynard on October 24, 2016This isn't necessarily a recommendation, but "American Pastoral", now in theaters, is worth a note. It's based on Philip Roth's novel; the story of an American family disrupted by the controversies and radical politics of the 1960's.

Well, we did it everyone, because AMC Theatres announced Friday that they are already abandoning plans to allow texting in their theaters, following a very loud and very negative reaction to the idea. NO TEXTING AT AMC. Won't happen. You spoke. We listened. Quickly, that idea has been sent to the cutting room floor. pic.twitter.com/JR0fo5megR —...

Maynard’s Movie Note: “Eye in the Sky”
by Maynard on April 1, 2016TAMs may enjoy the new Helen Mirren film, "Eye in the Sky". It's effective and highly suspenseful, and it covers the politics of the drone wars without being preachy or pushing an agenda. There are some characters whose necks you'll want to wring, but you'll love the Mirren character.

Your Mental Health Break: Julie Andrews Singing “Crazy World”
by Tammy on October 2, 2013Sort of apropos, no? 😉 One of my favorites from one of the most talented performers of the last 100 years in a movie on my Best of All Time list, Victor/Victoria. And to top it off, here’s a little chicklet who decides to take a nap under a cat’s chin. Enjoy! (HT @AceofSpadesHQ/strong>)
