[Video] ABC’s ‘The Middle’ Brilliantly Mocks College PC Outrage Culture
by Tammy on April 15, 2016Patricia Heaton in “The Middle” There are some good things on TV and “The Middle” is one of them. Bravo to the show, Patricia Heaton and ABC. By the way, I encourage you to follow Ms. Heaton on Twitter at @PatriciaHeaton! Via Newsbusters. In the midst of a 2016 campaign in which students claimed to be “frightened” and “in pain” because they saw pro-Trump messages scrawled in chalk around campus, Indiana University was plunged into a panic at the presence of a Dominican Friar, a Dartmouth sorority canceled its annual Kentucky Derby party after protesters cried “racism,” and the University of Southern California student government attempted to impeach school senator Jacob Ellenhorn for inviting a conservative speaker to campus, last...

Al Jazeera America Signs Off For Good; Door Hits Them On Way Out
by Tammy on April 12, 2016It looks like Allah wasn’t willing. Good work everyone! And remember, not only is AJ gone, it technically took Al Gore’s ‘Current’ with it 😉 Good riddance. Via Politico. Al Jazeera America’s political correspondent, Michael Shure, has his last hit with the network at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday. Fifteen minutes later, at 9, the network will end its final live broadcast, and, by midnight, the channel will no longer exist. But while Shure acknowledged the sadness and apprehension surrounding the closure of the network and the loss of 700 or so jobs, he said there’s a sense of pride among his colleagues for the work they have done over the past 2½ years. “It seems sort of celebratory,” Shure said in...

John Kerry: Let’s Fight ISIS With A Soap Opera
by Tammy on March 24, 2016Finally, a solution that will annihilate the terrorist army roaming freely around the world! I’m so proud! Said no one ever. Via IBD. “They’re not an existential threat to us.” That was President Obama, defending his seeming indifference to the latest ISIS terrorist attack in Europe. “Groups like (ISIS) can’t destroy us, they can’t defeat us. They don’t produce anything,” he said. (Well, they are producing oil and bombs and fresh new terrorists, but never mind.) So what should the U.S. do to fight this non-existential threat that doesn’t produce anything? Let’s put on a show! It’s almost too ridiculous to believe, but the day after the attacks in Brussels, the State Department posted a $1.5 million grant proposal to...

Sarah Palin To Be A New ‘Judge Judy’ In Courtroom-Based Reality Show
by Tammy on March 22, 2016Starts in the Fall of 2017. So she’s not planning on being a part of a Trump admin? Seriously, she would be the perfect agency head to dismantle the Department Energy. And Department of Education. But apparently not. Via USA Today. Never far from a glowing screen, Sarah Palin may be coming to a TV dial near you: She will star in a new Judy Judy-style courtroom reality show in 2017, according to a publicist for a Montana production company. The former governor of Alaska, who’s already starred in her own reality shows since the end of her vice-presidential campaign in 2008, signed a production deal last month with a Montana-based company called Warm Springs, according to Howard Bragman, a...

‘Downton Abbey’ Boss Previews an ‘Optimistic’ Series Finale Set For Sunday
by Tammy on March 4, 2016I came to Downtown Abbey late, binge-watched several several seasons and finally caught up a couple years ago. It’s sad it’s going away but I hope they have a spin off or two 🙂 The season finale is Sunday. Yeah, I’ll be sad, but happy knowing people can still make great television. If you haven’t seen it yet, or have dismissed it, do give it a chance, I know you’ll like it 🙂 With all the craziness we deal with in politics and culture, it’s a good thing to have something with which to take a break. For me, this show was one of those thing. Via Entertainment Weekly. (Spoiler-free) Believe it or not, Sunday will mark the last time...

Islamo-funny: Fox Making Muslim Sitcom To Counteract Islamophobia
by Pat_S on February 19, 2016Obama suggested it . Fox is working on it . What better way to propagandize Americans than through an innocent TV sitcom? There’s no hiding the intent. It is to open the hearts and minds of all you Islamophobes. I was imagining something like The Adventures of Aziz and Hooriyah or Everybody Loves Mohammed, but according to Deadline Hollywood the show will be about a 14-year old boy with adult responsibilities as the man of the house. Bet you’re already conjuring up some sordid images about male/female relationships in the Muslim world because of all that cable news you watch. Too bad there’s already a show called “The Americans”. It’s on FX and it’s about embedded Soviet agents who look,...

Anti-Israel Bias: ABC’s “Quantico” Twists Reality, Portrays Negative Image of Israel
by Shifra on November 9, 2015ABC’s TV show “Quantico” has a reported weekly viewership of eleven million. Shame on the writers and producers of this show, for distorting events in a blatantly anti-Israel stance. Via ZOA: ABC’s “Quantico” TV Show Falsely Claims Israel Bombed Gaza Greenhouses and Defames the IDF Morton A. Klein, president of The Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) and Elizabeth Berney, Esq., Director of Special Projects released the following statement: In the midst of a wave of Palestinian Arabs’ daily stabbing, shooting and car attacks against innocent Jewish civilians, American television network ABC has now added fuel to the fire. On October 18, 2015, in episode 4 of ABC’s new TV series, “Quantico,” the show’s Jewish character Simon Asher falsely proclaims: “I...

Have Gun, Will Travel
by Pat_S on September 5, 2013Obama is now tweeking his red line statement. He wasn’t speaking for himself necessarily. He’s the man with the world on his shoulders doing the right thing for humanity, or just another day at the office as Obama sees it. The administration claims we really do have a lot of countries behind military action against Syria. We can’t actually see them for a number of reasons explained behind closed doors, but John Kerry wants us to know the supporters are there. In fact other Middle Eastern countries are so into military action they are willing to pay the entire cost of an invasion,or as Kerry prefers to say it, “the whole thing the way we’ve done it previously in other places”....

Stay Tuned — Cameras In Cable Boxes Watching You
by Pat_S on June 17, 2013Last year Verizon filed for a patent for technology that would have infrared cameras and microphones monitor TV viewers behavior. Cameras in Your Cable Box? According to the patent application, the technology could detect ambient action, like people eating, exercising, reading, sleeping and more. “This may sound preposterous but it’s neither a joke nor an exaggeration,” Capuano said in a statement. “These DVRs would essentially observe consumers as they watch television as a way to super-target ads. It is an incredible invasion of privacy.” At least one member of Congress, Rep. Michael Capuano (D-Mass) is trying to stop this. The bill, called the We Are Watching You Act of 2013, would prohibit video service operators from collecting visual or audio...

by Pat_S on February 16, 2013The Viking Age is a tough act to follow for excitement in Norway. Watching a 12-hour marathon of wood burning is what goes for entertainment these days. Norway’s NRK broadcasts 12-hour wood burning programme Norwegian public TV is broadcasting a hot program, if you like to watch wood burn for 12 hours that is. The transmission, entitled Hel Ved, also features music and poetry. The head of programming at NRK, Rune Moeklebust, described it as “slow but noble television”. “We’ll talk about the very nerdy subjects like burning, slicing and stacking the wood, but we’ll also have cultural segments with...
