Breaking: Israeli Jet Shot Down After Bombing Iranian Site In Syria
by Tammy on February 10, 2018Israel was responding to an Iranian drone entering Israeli airspace earlier in the day. Via Reuters. Anti-aircraft fire downed an Israeli warplane returning from a bombing raid on Iran-backed positions in Syria on Saturday in the most serious confrontations yet between Israel and Iranian-backed forces based across the border. The F-16, one of at least eight Israeli planes despatched in response to what Israel said was an Iranian drone’s incursion into its airspace earlier in the day, was hit by a Syrian anti-aircraft missile and crashed in northern Israel, an Israeli official told Reuters. Both pilots ejected and were injured, one critically. Israel then launched a second and more intensive air raid, hitting what it said were 12 Iranian and...

Maynard’s Movie Note: “Eye in the Sky”
by Maynard on April 1, 2016TAMs may enjoy the new Helen Mirren film, "Eye in the Sky". It's effective and highly suspenseful, and it covers the politics of the drone wars without being preachy or pushing an agenda. There are some characters whose necks you'll want to wring, but you'll love the Mirren character.

Treasure Trove: ISIS Deserter Leaks IDs of 22,000 Jihadi Recruits
by Tammy on March 10, 2016Western intel operations are now checking to see how legit this is, but it looks pretty good. Via Newsweek. An ISIS whistleblower has leaked a cache of 22,000 identities of Islamic State militant group (ISIS) jihadis after becoming disillusioned with the group’s direction. The documents, collected at the end of 2013, reveal that the radical Islamist group makes recruits complete a questionnaire, before they can be inducted into its ranks. The documents include the names, addresses, telephone numbers and family contacts of the militants. Applicants are also asked to state their preferred “role” within the extremist network, with positions ranging from suicide bomber to foot soldier. Sky News said Wednesday that it had obtained the documents from a memory stick...

Former Top Cop: WH Cut NYC Terror Funding To Punish Schumer For Opposing Iran Deal
by Shifra on February 22, 2016Obama thinks his legacy will be having brought whirled peas world peace with his Iran and Cuba deals. His real legacy? The most corrupt and vindictive Administration in history. Via Washington Examiner: New York City’s former top cop said Sunday that the Obama administration cut funding to fight terrorism in the city to retaliate against Sen. Chuck Schumer for opposing a nuclear deal with Iran. “There’s a certain amount vindictiveness on the part of Washington aimed at Sen. Chuck Schumer,” Ray Kelly, New York City’s police commissioner under former Mayor Michael Bloomberg, said in an interview with John Catsimatidis on AM 970 in New York. “Apparently they remember very well that Sen. Schumer did not support their Iran deal,” Kelly...

Megyn Kelly Grills Jen Psaki on Yemen, U.S. Interference in Israeli Election
by Shifra on February 13, 2015As always, Megyn Kelly asked hard-hitting questions. And, as always, Jen Psaki said…well, I’m not exactly sure. Something about “Actions speak louder than words.” And, ‘The proof is in the pudding.” Or something… Watch the latest video at video.foxnews.com Related: CBS News: Official: U.S. intelligence surprised by collapse of Yemen government Jerusalem Post: Israelis think Obama interfering in election, poll finds

On ISIS, Obama Wants Congress To Tie His, And the Next President’s, Hands
by Tammy on February 11, 2015Why would you seek a war authorization that specifically limits what you can do in fighting a worldwide, psychopathic enemy? But that’s exactly what Obama wants Congress to do. He wants to say his refusal to do everything possible to defeat the cancer of ISIS and Radical Islam is due to his hands being tied by the Use of Military Force, or AUMF, that this White House itself has written. And he wants it in force for 3 years, also tying the hands of the next president. I contend this is the *only* reason Obama is finally pursuing the AUMF. Keep in mind, Obama has claimed the 2001 and 2002 AUMFs gave him the power to take on ISIS, we...

Two WSJ Journalists, Two Views On ‘Torture Report’
by Shifra on December 17, 2014Cartoon from Michael Ramirez, the brilliant editorial cartoonist at Investor’s Business Daily Looks like Peggy Noonan has been hanging out with too many Beltway Libs. Because her latest column smacked of the self-righteous, holier-than-thou tone we have come to expect of “the elites.” Via WSJ: A Flawed Report’s Important Lesson Although Noonan acknowledges that …the report was issued just as a defeated Democratic majority walked out the door, and has the look of a last, lobbed stink bomb: “See what the terrible Bush administration did? Bye now!” There is about the entire enterprise a sense of sin being expiated at someone else’s expense…. Here’s what she says about the actions of the CIA: …torture is bad. It makes people lose...

No Iraq Operational Name, So Let’s Play – Name That Battle!
by Patricia on August 8, 2014The current bombing of the mad terrorists known as ISIS brings hope back to my heart. I think a good name for this operation should be Operation Kill the Sons of Bitches! Is that too blunt or not enough? Get your creative mojo working TAMs and name the battle that is not to be named by Obama.

“Angry Black Woman” Smacks Down Student Supporters of “Palestine”
by Shifra on August 1, 2014With the war raging between Israel and Hamas, there has been a shocking rise of virulent anti-Semitism on American college campuses. Much of this seems to be based on sympathy with the “Palestinian freedom fighters who are resisting the Israeli occupation.” The following is a must-read by Chloe Valdary, published in Tablet Magazine. Every word is a gem. Here are highlights, but do read the entire piece: To the Students for Justice in Palestine, a Letter From an Angry Black Woman The student organization Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) is prominent on many college campuses, preaching a mantra of “Freeing Palestine.” It masquerades as though it were a civil rights group when it is not. Indeed, as an African-American,...

Bill Clinton To Israel: Don’t Isolate Yourself From ‘World Opinion’
by Shifra on July 21, 2014It has been said of the Clintons that nothing comes out of their mouths that is not calculated to benefit themselves. And since Hillary has lately been touting Israel’s right to defend itself, maybe Bill Clinton’s latest comments on Israel were motivated by concern over his future speaking fees in Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, etc. I’m not sure how else to account for his recent comments: Via Yaho News: Bill Clinton warns Israel on ‘isolating itself from world opinion’ Former US president Bill Clinton has warned Israel about “isolating itself from world opinion” due to repeated conflicts in Gaza… “Over the long run it is not good for Israel to keep isolating itself from world opinion because of the absence...

Israel Defense & Ukraine Plane Crash Updates/Open Thread
by Tammy on July 17, 2014Talk about an intense day, and it’s not even close to being over. First, the horrible news about the Malaysian airliner being shot down over Ukraine. Much of the initial information is speculation, but one thing that has been confirmed is that it was shot down with a missile. Now the work begins to pinpoint the location of battery and perhaps that will give us information as to who did this. And, of course, the embarrassment here is that Obama, once again, exhibited how much of a fool he really is. We have 295 lost souls, and 23 dead Americans in this horrific act. He stepped awat from a photo op at a burger joint, then spent 38 seconds addressing...

Karzai: War On Terror Deliberately Caused Instability In Region
by Pat_S on June 18, 2014After America and Western countries spent $billions ($trillions all consequences considered), sacrificed thousands dead, wounded, maimed, and ruined lives, Afghan President Karzai in a BBC interview says the war on terror was not fought honestly and genuinely. Its intent was to cause instability in the region. Iraq and Afghanistan were, he claims, solid and whole countries before foreign intervention. The BBC reporter asked if what is happening in Iraq could happen in Afghanistan. Karzai replies Never. Not at all. [BBC Reporter] Many worry that there is a whole arc now—Syria, Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan—the rise of al-Qaeda linked groups. [Karzai] So this means either of two things. Either the war on terror was not conducted properly or effectively, that it gave...
