New Group ‘Freedom Force’ Vows To Be GOP Answer To AOC’s ‘Squad’
by Tammy on November 29, 2020With all the trouble surrounding this election, there is some good news. This is important and can add to another red wave that allows the GOP to take the House back in 2022. Via NY Post. “Several newly-elected Republican House members, including New York’s Nicole Malliotakis, have banned together to create a group they’ve dubbed the “Freedom Force” — to oppose “The Squad” of progressive Democratic congresswomen. “This group will give a contrast to the hard left,” Utah Rep.-elect and former NFL player Burgess Owens said Friday on Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle.” “We have ‘Freedom Force’ versus ‘Squad.’” […] At least eight incoming Republican lawmakers are in the group, including Reps.-elect Malliotakis; Michelle Steel of California; Stephanie Bice of...

Pelosi To Biden: Join ‘Straight Arm Club,’ Refrain From Invading Others’ Personal Space
by Shifra on April 3, 2019Did Pelosi just call Biden a dummy for not knowing it might be offensive to smell someone’s hair, er, invade another person’s space? This seems to be her default position whenever a fellow Dem “steps in it.” Remember how Ilhan Omar Did Not “Understand The Full Weight Of The Words She Used” after spewing her Jew-hating rhetoric. But, as Tammy notes in her latest Washington Times column — The return of a familiar hypocrisy among Democrats as they defend Biden: Why is the party that fashions itself as the defender of all women from bad, bad men, divided about how to respond to the aptly nicknamed “Creepy Uncle Joe”? Because they stand not for what’s right, but what’s convenient. Today’s...

GW Univ. Bars Men From Participating In Debate Competition
by Shifra on March 4, 2019Feminism is defined as “the theory of the political, economic, and social equality of the sexes.” So is George Washington University saying women, and in this case transgenders, are too fragile or need to be protected from debate that’s inclusive? That’s rather important considering men are part of the real world and all of us will do much better when prepared for something other than a protected, cloistered safe-space. Thanks, GWU, for setting feminism back about fifty years. Via Accuracy in Academia: In the name of political correctness, George Washington University is barring men from participating in a debate competition. In April, the university’s Parliamentary Debate Society will allow women and transgender individuals to debate in this gender minority debate...

Making History, Four Israeli Women Complete Training to Become Tank Commanders
by Shifra on July 1, 2018Girl Power…Israeli-style. Via Times of Israel. The Israel Defense Forces declared its pilot program of all-female tank crews a success on Thursday, hours before four of the participants were due to complete the Armored Corps’ tank commanders course. “The training process was a success, from both an instructional and an operational perspective. The soldiers achieved all the goals set for them,” said Lt. Col. Benny Aharon, the head of command training in the Armored Corps. The pilot program was designed to see if women could make up the four-person crews necessary to operate a tank in “routine security operations” within Israel’s borders or just beyond them if necessary — not in wars or in fighting behind deep enemy lines. Until...

Saudi Dunkin’ Donuts: No Women Allowed, Unless Accompanied By a Man
by Shifra on August 10, 2016This is called “discrimination.” Or, as liberals call it: “cultural diversity” Via Express. Signs have been daubed on doors to the shops in the capital Riyadh saying “unescorted women” are not allowed inside. Dunkin’ Donuts is famous for its sugary treats and the American chain has outlets across the world. Saudi Arabia has strict rules in place to separate men and women, many of whom wear full face veils…. Women who go into restaurants with their husbands and children are seated in family areas which are screened off from other diners allowing them to remove the veil covering their faces. Saudi Arabia is the only country in the world where women are banned from driving because of their gender. They...

Saudi Women Can Now Drive… Bumper Cars in Amusement Park
by Shifra on June 22, 2016Um, progress? Via WSJ. ….At the weekly ladies-only night at the Al Shallal Theme Park in the coastal city of Jeddah, women discard head scarves and head-to-toe black gowns to reveal the latest trends—ripped jeans, tank tops, and tossed-to-the-side ’80s-style hair. For many of them, the biggest draw of the amusement park isn’t the few hours of fashion freedom. Instead, they go there to get behind the wheel—even a bumper-car wheel—in a country that bans female drivers…. With the exception of remote corners of the desert kingdom—where Bedouin women sometimes get behind the wheel—the amusement park offers a rare, hassle-free environment for women to hone their driving skills. That is partly why, on ladies nights, there is a winding queue...

Senate Votes to Require Women to Register for the Draft
by Tammy on June 17, 2016I know many of you have strong feelings about this. It does have a long way to go, and is attached to the larger defense bill. This is a quandry as the left and feminist groups that kept arguing that women should be eligible for every job in the military, including combat (and I agree, if they can deliver at the same level as men). Now that they are, there is no reason to exclude them from the draft. Maybe it’s not a bad idea to put Safe-Space Crybabies in the military. They’d learn a few things about discipline and accomplishment. In other words, they’d be forced to grow up. Via NPR. On Tuesday, the Senate passed a defense authorization...
