Border Patrol Lets Some Illegals Go -- Over and Over Again

Josefa Gonzalez Loya has sneaked across the Mexican border at least 128 times in the past eight years. And each time, the Border Patrol has been nice enough to give her a lift home.

Gonzalez and a group of other women and children--all Indians from the southern Mexican state of Oaxaca--have no interest in staying in the United States. All they want to do is panhandle outside El Paso businesses, using the children as lures.

At the end of a productive day, they wait for the Border Patrol to come pick them up and drive them back to the border.

D.C. to arm police with assault rifles

The Metropolitan Police Department has joined other major U.S. cities in arming patrol officers with assault rifles to protect them against criminals with high-powered weapons, weeks after being released from a federal program that monitors the use of excessive force.

"We want to be as accurate as possible and have more stopping power," Assistant Chief Patrick Burke said yesterday...The Chicago Police Department is making similar plans and the City of Miami Police Department is already using such weapons.

"We need to be equally equipped with the firearms that are being used against the police," said Monique Bond, a Chicago police spokeswoman. "If officers cannot protect themselves, they cannot protect residents." [Wait, wait, you mean guns in the hands of the right people is a good thing and protects people!?!?!? Is it possible?!?!]

Last month, Chicago had one of the most violent crime waves in recent history — 36 shootings in which nine people were killed and an AK-47 assault rifle was used to shoot up a plumbing-supply store...

Now just wait one second. We're talking about "gun violence" and guns are illegal so what are the police talking about!? Uh, and what is this about police not being able to protect the citizens? I mean, is it possible that "gun violence" is out of control because law-abiding citizens aren't allowed to protect themselves?

I can already feel a headache coming on I'm so confused.

"DC Madam" Kills Herself

DC Madam Deborah Jeane Palfrey apparently has killed herself while staying at her mother's home.

DC Madam commits suicide in Tarpon Springs

TARPON SPRINGS - Police were called to the home of DC Madam Deborah Jeane Palfrey's mother on Thursday to investigate her apparent suicide.

Police have confirmed that the dead person is Palfrey who was 52.

Palfrey was dubbed "The DC Madam" by the national media after her arrest for allegedly running an upscale call girl ring in the nation's capitol.

She was convicted on Tuesday of money laundering, using the mail for illegal purposes and racketeering, but she had not yet been sentenced.

Cigarettes, Terrorists, and Stupid Policies

FoxNews is reporting that cigarette smugglers in New York are funneling profits to terrorists. The G-men are looking to crack down, as a matter of national security, not to mention the large loss of revenue.

Does everybody understand that the zeal to punish smokers has merely stolen from the poor and given to the rich (media outlets and professional antismoking profiteers), while making criminal activity hugely profitable? I'm not defending smokers or smoking (and I don't smoke), but smokers have become the modern whipping boy of the new political puritans.

As another bit of social engineering, New York's policy of "forebearance" (they ignore sales of Native American tax-free cigarettes to non-Native Americans) has created a source of untaxed cigarettes which are quickly diverted into taxable channels.

Actually, this is all old news. Five years ago, the Cato Institute published this article which said pretty much the same thing:

Smugglers are now being investigated for possible terrorist ties....Mayor Michael Bloomberg hiked the city's cigarette excise tax from 8 cents to $1.50 per pack. That hike, coupled with a series of recent increases in the state cigarette tax, has pushed the price of legal brand name cigarettes to more than $7.50 per pack. As a result, it is possible to earn hundreds of thousands of dollars on every truckload of cigarettes smuggled into the city...The tax hikes also spurred crime against legal businesses, [causing] distributors and retailers to be confronted almost daily with the risk and dangers of personal violence which are now inherent in their industry.

So, thanks to artificially high prices, hijacking a cigarette truck is almost as profitable as hijacking a bank truck.

These are the laws of unintended consequences. If taxes are low and reasonable, we shrug and pay them. If they're high and arbitrary, the government loses respect and people become motivated to evade. Criminal activity becomes entrenched and widespread.

Why is this simple logic, which is so obvious to the man on the street, such an alien concept to our leaders?

Mexican Official Caught Stealing White House Blackberries

Secret Service Catch Mexican Official Nabbing White House BlackBerries

Whether he was up to no good or simply desperate to play BrickBreaker, a Mexican press attaché was caught on camera by Secret Service pocketing several White House BlackBerries during a recent meeting in New Orleans, FOX News has learned.

Sources with knowledge of the incident said the official, Rafael Quintero Curiel, served as the lead press advance person for the Mexican Delegation and was responsible for handling logistics and guiding the Mexican media around at the conference. He took six or seven of the handheld devices from a table outside a special room in the hotel where the Mexican delegation was meeting with President Bush earlier this week...

Sources said Quintero Curiel made it all the way to the airport before Secret Service officers caught up with him. He initially denied taking the devices, but after agents showed him the DVD, Quintero Curiel said it was purely accidental, gave them back, claimed diplomatic immunity and left New Orleans with the Mexican delegation.

And the White House reaction to what should be considered an act of spying?

White House spokeswoman Dana Perino refused to discuss the incident, telling FOX News, "We are aware of the situation, but as it's under investigation by law enforcement officials, we will decline to comment."

Of course you will, honey.

Scum Marine Murderer Laurean Captured

Laurean before and after his arrest in Mexico. As a side issue, onsidering the difference in appearance, now you can see why Islamists have such an easy time using the Mexican border.

In Mexico of course, which means he gets his Gets Off Death Row card for free because we allow that depraved and incompetent Mexican narco-government to call the shots. Just one more reasons of thousands to build that physical fence.

Marine Killing Suspect Caught in Mexico

A Marine suspected of killing a pregnant colleague told police he slept in fields and survived by eating fruit that he found during a three-month manhunt that ended with his arrest in western Mexico, authorities said.

Mexican police carrying out an anti-kidnapping operation in the small town of Tacambaro arrested Cpl. Cesar Laurean on Thursday.

He is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Marine Lance Cpl. Maria Lauterbach, who had accused him of rape. Her burned remains were found in January in the backyard of his home near Camp Lejeune.

Bearded, thin and chained at the wrists and ankles, Laurean spoke briefly with The Associated Press while being held at the Michoacan state Attorney General's Office in Morelia, the state capital. He appeared slightly disoriented and stared straight ahead, his eyes occasionally filling up with tears as he answered a reporter's questions in terse phrases...

Laurean, of Las Vegas, was born in Guadalajara, but family members there have said he moved to the U.S. more than 10 years ago...Onslow County District Attorney Dewey Hudson has agreed not to seek execution in order to win the cooperation of Mexico, which refuses to send anyone back to the U.S. unless provided assurance they will not face a death sentence.

Chinese-Made Heparin Contaminent Identified

Maybe everything from China is cheaper because they use deadly counterfeit ingredients. As some are now suggesting on the internet, let's have the Chinese make our nuclear weapons, too, if it's such a great bargain and China is such a great friend.

FDA identifies contaminant in blood thinner
The substance wouldn't have occurred naturally in the heparin from China, the agency says, suggesting a counterfeit drug could be involved. The import may have led to the deaths of up to 19 in the U.S.

The Food and Drug Administration said today it has identified a mystery ingredient that contaminated a type of blood thinner imported from China that could have led to as many as 19 U.S. deaths and hundreds of severe allergic reactions among frail patients.

FDA Deputy Commissioner Janet Woodcock said the contaminant would not have occurred naturally in the many steps involved in processing the blood thinner heparin. That raised the possibility that a counterfeit drug could ultimately be blamed in the case.

"At this moment, we don't know whether it was introduced intentionally or by accident," she said. Officials stopped short of saying they suspected the heparin to be counterfeit, but they clearly indicated they were investigating that possibility.

Gee, like when the Chinese laced toothpaste and cough syrup with antifreeze? And the time they sent melamine for use as a pet food ingredient? Like those other possibilities of counterfeit ingredients?

Is this Spitzer's "Kristen"?

Fortunately, this whole sordid event just may be this beautiful young woman's ticket out of the life-ruining scourge of prostitution. I betcha there's a book deal in her future.

NY Gov Eliot Spitzer Linked to Prostitution Ring

The other lesson today: Don't keep standing next to men who can't keep their pants on.

We shouldn't be surprised. Don't forget, this is the same man who has such a tenuous grip on right and wrong that he pushed for driver licenses for illegal aliens in New York. That sort of willingness to reward those who break the law speaks to a rather odd view of the issue of crime and and punishment and a stunning hypocrisy. This is especially odd considering Spitzer's history in law enforcement, but then again hypocrisy among politicians of all stripes isn't odd at all. A big part of the story today is that his first statement involved an apology to his family. Isn't it interesting these people only apologize once they've been caught? Sheesh.

New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer apologized to his family in an appearance before reporters Monday following reports that he was linked to a high profile prostitution ring.

Spitzer has been indicted in the Southern District of New York in connection to a high-profile prostitution ring and is expected to resign, sources told FOX News.

But Spitzer did not mention resignation in his brief appearance:

"I am disappointed that I failed to live up to the standard I expected of myself. I must now dedicate some time to regain the trust of my family. I will not be taking questions. Thank you very much," Spitzer said.

Spitzer scheduled the abrupt announcement from his office as news reports were breaking that the governor told staffers about his alleged involvement in the prostitution ring...In the affidavit, one prospective hooker refused to work for the company because it didn't pay enough and complained that a friend of hers had sex twice in an hour without getting dinner first. In another wiretapped conversation outlined in the affidavit, Emperors Club employees complained about a hooker who had to leave appointments early to pick up her kids from school, TSG reported.

The club's Web site shows a fee schedule of $1,000 per hour for a three-diamond prostitute and $3,100 per hour for a seven-diamond prostitute. Members of the exclusive Icon Club could reach restricted areas of the Web site and schedule appointments with the highest prostitutes, whose fees started at $5,500 per hour, the press release reads...

Spitzer's popularity has sagged according to recent polls. A January 25 Marist College poll showed 56 percent of registered voters did not approve of Spitzer's job, and he only carried a 35 percent approval rating.

Ha! he has a higher approval rating than the president or Congress! Hillary, in the meantime, has done a Stalin and erased all references to Spitzer, and his endorsement of her, from her website. All gone now!

One Arrest, One Suspect Photo in Campus Murders

Good news in the horrific, mindless campus murders of two remarkable young women.

Police have arrested a suspect in the murder of Auburn University Freshman Lauren Burke. The motive? Robbery. They had better not allow this depraved SOB plea bargain his way out of the death penalty.

A man arrested after a car and foot chase by police who suspected him in a string of robberies was charged with capital murder in the abduction and shooting death of an Auburn University student, police said Saturday.

Courtney Lockhart was arrested Friday in Phenix City, about 30 miles from the campus where 18-year-old Lauren Burk was a freshman. She was found shot on the side of an off-campus road Tuesday night and her car was found burning in a campus parking lot...In a short pursuit, Lockhart's car broke down and he was captured by officers while trying to flee on foot, Dawson said.

Lockhart, 23, was charged with three capital counts accusing him of murder along with kidnapping, robbery and attempted rape, Dawson said.

In another stunning case, North Carolina police have released ATM security photos of a man attempting to use the ATM card of murdered North Carolina student body president Eve Carson.

North Carolina police on Saturday released two ATM surveillance pictures of a "person of interest" in the case of a slain university student and said it appeared to be a random killing.

Chapel Hill Police Chief Brian Curran, speaking at a news conference, described the pictures as "our biggest break so far" in the investigation into the death of Unversity of North Carolina student body president Eve Carson...Police have yet to identify the person in the photos, who apparently used an ATM card belonging to Carson, a senior who was shot to death early Wednesday on a city street not far from campus.

Curran said police have circulated the pictures with police departments in North Carolina, hoping their officers can help identify the suspect. The ATM photos show a young man in a baseball cap and hooded sweat shirt driving a sport utility vehicle that may be Carson's Toyota Highlander, Curran said.

In both of these utter tragedies, the victims were shot to death. As a feminist, I look at these horrors and it simply reinforces my deeply-held belief that all women, especially young campus women, should learn to use a firearm and be given concealed weapons permits. Send your prayers to the families and friends of these young, as we all suffer the loss of two extraordinary bright minds.

And let's hope the police get this other freak who thought murdering Eve Carson to get her wallet and car was a good idea.

Mexican drug hitmen kill singer near U.S. border

Drug hitmen have killed a popular Mexican singer along with his manager and assistant near the U.S. border, authorities said on Wednesday, the latest murder among musicians who sing "narcocorrido" ballads glorifying drug traffickers.

The body of Jesus Rey David Alfaro, known as "The Little Rooster," was one of six that turned up tortured, murdered and pinned with threatening messages for Mexico's army last week in the border town of Tijuana near San Diego...

The official was referring to Tijuana's main drug smuggling cartel, which is fighting a gory turf war with traffickers from Mexico's Pacific state of Sinaloa, led by the country's most-wanted man, Joaquin "Shorty" Guzman.

Alfaro, a regular act at Tijuana's biggest bars and music halls, was found covered in a blanket in wasteland on the edge of the city with rope marks around his neck, suggesting he was tortured before he was shot in the head, the attorney general's office said.

Twin Brothers Push Intruder Out Second-Story Window

Twin brothers Clay and Christopher Parkman, 17, arrived at their home near Olympia, Wash., Monday to discover a back door window shattered. They assumed someone had broken in, but did not know the intruder was still in the house, kirotv.com reports.

The Parkmans chased the burglar into a bedroom and to a window, and then "acted on instinct," Clay Parkman told kirotv.com. Clay jumped over the bed and pushed the man out a second-story window. The suspect fell 20 feet to the ground, landing on his back on the concrete, kirotv.com reports.

"He didn't scream or anything," Clay Parkman told kirotv.com. "He was just looking at me the whole way down."

The brothers ran to their car and followed the burglar as he ran away on foot into nearby woods. The police arrived shortly thereafter and the suspect was arrested, kirotv.com reports.

And twins no less. Gotta love it.

Meat Cleaver Violence in New York

You know, if we just banned meat cleavers, and paper bags, and other knives, and crazy people, this would never have happened. Or, of course, we could make sure law-abiding citizens, like the victim and her attempted rescuer, have guns which very well could have stopped this carnage, and the killer, who is still at-large.

Man Sought In Psychologist's Meat Cleaver Death

Residents on the Upper East Side are trying to cope with the shocking news of Tuesday night's horrific and fatal attack of 56-year-old psychologist Kathryn Faughey, who police say was hacked to death with a meat cleaver inside an office building on E. 79th Street and York Avenue shortly after 9 p.m.

Police say that around 8 p.m. Tuesday night, the assailant told the doorman he wanted to see psychiatrist Dr. Kent Shinbach, and received permission to enter the premises. He then proceeded to the waiting room where it is believed he sat and waited for up to an hour.

A few minutes before 9 p.m., according to police, Shinbach heard a commotion. He followed the uproar into Dr. Faughey's office.

Shinbach then attempted to assist Faughey during the attack, in which he suffered serious cuts to his face. He was taken to New York-Presbyterian Hospital Weill/Cornell, and is currently in serious, but stable condition.

Here is the best I can do when it comes to trying to scare some of you into a) voting and b) voting for Romney. My guess? Odds are quite high "Joe" is not a Romniac and will very probably vote. I'm just sayin. Oh, a lot of the language is not suitable for children. Of course.

FBI: Marine slaying suspect likely in Mexico

The FBI suspects that Marine Cpl. Cesar Laurean, sought in the slaying of a pregnant fellow Marine, has fled to his native Mexico, an FBI spokeswoman said Wednesday.

A warrant has been issued for Marine Cpl. Cesar Laurean, who's been charged with murder in Lauterbach's death. "At this point in time we strongly suspect but have not confirmed that Laurean fled to Mexico," said Newsom Summerlin, FBI media representative in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Laurean, 21, is a native of Guadalajara, Mexico, and a naturalized citizen who lived in the Las Vegas area before joining the Marines. The FBI said it is working with Mexican authorities to find and arrest Laurean if he is in Mexico...

Laurean faces murder charges in the death of Lance Cpl. Maria Lauterbach, who had accused Laurean of rape and who was eight months pregnant when she disappeared in December. Her charred body and a fetus were found buried behind Laurean's house near Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, last Friday.

If he is in Mexico what this means, of course, is that he is immune from from the death penalty. Considering the depravity if his crime--the 8-month old fetus would have been alive inside the womb when this beast set his victims' bodies on fire--Mexico will not extradite a criminal unless we promise to not seek the death penalty. Another indication of how the United States continues to allow depraved nations in the world (China, Saudi Arabia, Mexico...) to control our country.

OJ Simpson Back Where He Belongs

O.J. Simpson Held on Bail Violation

O.J. Simpson is in custody in Florida on allegations that he violated terms of his release on bail by calling one of his co-defendants in a Las Vegas armed robbery case, a court official said Friday.

Prosecutors allege that Simpson, identifying himself as "Miguel," telephoned Clarence "C.J." Stewart on Nov. 16 and expressed frustration with Stewart's testimony at a preliminary hearing, court spokesman Michael Sommermeyer said.

That was two days after a Las Vegas justice of the peace ruled that Simpson, Stewart and another co-defendant should stand trial on 12 charges, including kidnapping and robbery...Simpson was to go before a judge Wednesday...A bail bondsman at You Ring We Spring bail bonds in North Las Vegas declined to comment.

Child molester inmate dies after choking on hot dog

ATWATER, Calif. (AP) Prison officials say a convicted child molester and kidnapper died last month after choking on a hot dog.

Forty-five-year-old Frederick Fretz was serving a 20-year sentence at the federal penitentiary in Atwater.

Prison spokesman Jesse Gonzalez says medics tried to remove the hot dog from Fretz's throat before taking him to a Merced hospital. He was pronounced dead on Dec. 19.

According to The Orlando Sentinel, Fretz pleaded guilty in 2005 to kidnapping an 11-year-old boy from Marion County, Fla.

I haven't had one in years, but tomorrow I will enjoy a hot dog from the famous Pink's Hot Dogs. While we can't reverse the damage he did, I will salute the fact that God apparently believes, as do I, that child molesters deserve the death penalty.

An inmate who escaped from a hospital Wednesday, briefly taking a worker hostage and stealing two getaway cars, was cornered hours later in a cemetery by police and killed in a shootout, authorities said.

Poke, btw, was serving life plus forty years at Jessup Correctional Institution for kidnapping, carjacking, and robbery. Between this story and our hero citizen who stopped the robber in an earlier, I'd say 2008 is off to a great start!

FedEx Truck Hijacked, Driver Kidnapped

Not the truck hijacked, but one like it.

By men with eastern European accents. The driver was let go after 3 hours of driving around, and the 18-wheeler (!) was eventually found. Yeah, this wasn't a hijacking of the van that comes to your office or home. FedEx is still trying to determine what, if anything, is missing.

This, of course, could also have been a dry-run to see how easy it would be to hijack an 18-wheeler. In New York. During Christmas. Why foreigners would want to do that, I have no idea.

Police investigate FedEx truck hijacking

NEW YORK (AP) -- Hijackers posing as police commandeered a FedEx tractor-trailer loaded with Christmas presents and kidnapped the driver, but the would-be Grinches let him go early Friday and abandoned the rig full of packages, police said.

FedEx is trying to determine whether anything is missing from the truck, a company spokeswoman says. Six metal air freight containers stuffed with shipments were found locked in the 18-wheeler...

The heist began Thursday night on a Manhattan street as the truck headed to Newark, New Jersey...The driver told police he thought there was a third suspect as well and the men had heavy Eastern European accents.

They forced the driver face-down into the back of the SUV, told him to handcuff himself and drove him around for three hours before abandoning him in Brooklyn...

Sandra Munoz, a spokeswoman at FedEx headquarters in Memphis, Tennessee, said the truck was in police custody and the company could not immediately determine if anything was missing or estimate the value of the cargo. The truck can hold as much as 80,000 pounds when full.

No suspects have been identified and no arrests made.

'No comment' says Tina Turner as Ike dies

Ike Turner, the legendary American musician who was perhaps better known for his abusive relationship with his former wife, Tina Turner, than for his contribution to the history of rock’n’roll, died at his home in San Diego last night at the age of 76. It was not immediately known what caused his death.

Tina Turner declined to comment on her former husband’s death. “Tina is aware that Ike passed away earlier today. She has not had any contact with him in 35 years. No further comment will be made,” said her spokeswoman, Michele Schweitzer...

The relationship with Tina was doomed, with Turner allegedly cheating on his wife and becoming addicted to cocaine. The drug addiction culminated in his allegedly beating his wife before a concert in Dallas in 1976. Tina Turner later described how she fled with only 36 cents and a petrol station credit card and spent months in hiding...

His career recovered slightly in his twilight years but many found his denials of abuse towards his wife unconvincing. In his 2001 autobiography, Taking Back My Name, Turner wrote: “Sure, I've slapped Tina. There have been times when I punched her to the ground without thinking. But I never beat her.”

As I said, good effing riddance.

Bush Pardons 29 Felons

Including a crack dealer (the first ever to be pardoned), a bunch of cocaine dealers, mail thieves, tax cheats and a whole host of other losers.

Not among the list are two men who are in prison simply for doing their job, which was, interestingly enough, stopping the very sort of people the president saw fit to pardon yesterday, and about whom appeals court judges have noted, in so many words, were prosecuted unfairly.

Those two men--Ramos and Compean--still sit in solitary confinement throughout the Christmas season. Another illustration of the utter moral failure of President Bush on so many fronts in the past few years.

Drew Peterson Wants Your Money

Well, I can think of a few men who might want to pony up--O.J. Simpson, Robert Blake, Phil Spector and the van der Sloot family in the Netherlands, I'm sure, have some change rolling around.

After all, there seems to be some stranger who keeps getting away with murdering other men's wives or girls on vacation. It's amazing how that guy gets around and never seems to get caught.

Buoyed by a Supreme Court ruling, some 19,500 federal inmates and their families, most of them black, are hoping the U.S. Sentencing Commission is ready to make its recent easing of crack cocaine punishment guidelines retroactive...

Making the guidelines retroactive is opposed by the Bush administration. A senior Justice Department official warned Tuesday that retroactive guidelines could have a disastrous effect on crime-riddled communities that are not ready to receive crack offenders who could be released early from prison as a result.

The legitimate solution, of course, would be to increase sentences for powder cocaine convictions, not lessen sentences for crack dealers and users. But we certainly can't start to expect the system to make any sense, especially as we become more and more sissified.

The woman security officer who took shooter Matthew Murray at the New Life Church has been identified. What a perfect example of how firearms, and God, are an excellent defense in the face of an armed beast.

"It was just me, the gunman and God," said the heroic church security guard who stopped a hate-fueled rampage by shooting a gunman dead Sunday.

Jeanne Assam, 42, a member of New Life Church, said she remained calm and focused by putting her faith in God during the intense, ear-splitting gunfight in Colorado Springs.

Armed with a handgun, she calmly confronted Matthew J. Murray, 24, who was armed with an assault rifle, two handguns and 1,000 rounds of ammunition, police said.

"It was scary," the former Twin Cities patrol officer said this afternoon at a Colorado Springs news conference. "I'll never forget the guns were so loud."

"But ... God was with me and I asked him to be with me. And he never left my side," she said.

Brava to Ms. Assam for staying focused and calm, stopping what would have been an even more horrific massacre. May God rest the souls of those murdered by Murray on Sunday.

Other updates include more information about Murray's motive. Rev. Boyd's comments that the attack was "random" appears now to not be the case.

Man Suspected Of Colorado Shootings Was Thrown Out Of Missionary School

December 10, 2007)—The man suspected of the deadly shootings Sunday at a missionary training center in a Denver, Colo. suburb and a megachurch in Colorado Springs was thrown out of the missionary school, court documents show.

The suspected gunman is identified as Matthew Murray, 24, who was shot and killed by a female volunteer security guard at the New Life Church in Colorado Springs after killing two teenage sisters and wounding the girls’ father and two other people.

Documents show Murray sent hate mail to the missionary center after he was kicked out of the school about three years ago.

Vick Sentenced to 23 Months for Dogfighting

He could have been sentenced to 5 years. This is for the federal conviction, and he still faces state charges. Hopefully someone at that level will see the torture and murder of helpless creatures as a matter more serious that the Feds consider it. The five years he could have received is nothing, and the less than two years is a joke. He will, of course, serve only a fraction of that. Disgusting.

Vick gets 23 months for dogfighting

RICHMOND, Va. - Michael Vick was sentenced to 23 months in prison Monday for his role in a dogfighting conspiracy that involved gambling and killing pit bulls.

The suspended Atlanta Falcons quarterback could have been sentenced up to five years by District Judge Henry E. Hudson. Vick was dressed in a black-and-white striped prison suit and apologized to the court and his family...In a plea agreement, he admitted bankrolling the dogfighting ring on his 15-acre property in rural southeastern Virginia and helping kill pit bulls that did not perform well in test fights. He also admitted providing money for bets on the fights but said he never shared in any winnings.

Burglars Shot by Neighbor May Be Part of Larger Colombian Gang

The two men Joe Horn shot and killed as they emerged after robbing his neighbor's home, may be linked to an illegal alien gun-running Colombian gang. Aren't we shocked.

DPS was watching burglars shot by Horn

Even before their deaths prompted a series of heated debates about the use of deadly force, detectives at the Department of Public Safety had their eye on Diego Ortiz and Miguel Dejesus.

The two were shot and killed by Joe Horn, a Pasadena man who thought they were burglarizing his neighbor’s home last month.

According to a DPS memo obtained by 11 News, the department was investigating the use of Puerto Rican birth certificates by Colombians seeking to obtain Texas driver’s licenses.

Both Ortiz and Dejesus had applied for licenses. Dejesus listed his country of origin as Puerto Rico, but both men were Colombian... A much wider probe has been launched into an organized syndicate of Colombians who are engaged in illegal weapons sales and home break-ins – just like the one Ortiz and Dejesus were involved in last month in Pasadena.

Yeah, let's just open that border right up. It would not only please the president, so-called Homeland Security and Michael Chertoff, but it sure would make life easier for those gun-running, drug-dealing Colombians.

Clinton Campaign Office Hostage Update

Earlier this morning a man claiming to have a bomb took three people hostage in a Rochester, New Hampshire Hillary Clinton campaign office.

One woman was apparently immediately released, and reports are now that the other two hostages have also been let go. The man is asking to speak with Senator Clinton.

Rodney King's Been Shot

The man whose beating by the LAPD became an excuse for Los Angeles gang members to riot, has been shot. He was also drunk and the shooting appears to be related to a "domestic" situation.

I guess we can all get along, except for Rodney King and the people who know him.

Southern California police said 1991 police beating victim Rodney King has been shot, but the wounds are not life-threatening.

Rialto police Sgt. Don Lewis told the Riverside Press-Enterprise that King was hit in the face and arm by shotgun pellets on a San Bernardino street corner Wednesday night. He bicycled to his home in Rialto to call police and was taken to a hospital.

Police said when they arrived at the home, King and others there appeared drunk and few were cooperative in providing information.

CHICKASHA, Okla. (AP) - The millionaire producer of the "Girls Gone Wild" video series has accused guards of abusing him during his brief stay at an Oklahoma jail, a newspaper reported Friday.

Francis, 34, was held at the jail from May 17 to June 4 while being moved from a Florida jail to a federal facility in Reno, Nev., where he is awaiting trial next year on a tax evasion charge.

Guards at the Grady County Law Enforcement Center denied Joe Francis food and blankets and threatened to strap him naked to a chair for 48 hours, Francis' attorneys alleged last month in court papers seeking his release on bail in a Florida case, The Oklahoman reported.

Yes, but did they shout, "Take it off! Take it off!" while throwing Mardi Gras beads at him?

(LAS VEGAS)— O.J. Simpson must face trial on kidnapping, armed robbery and other charges stemming from a suspected sports memorabilia heist, a justice of the peace ruled Wednesday, despite fierce defense attacks that characterized prosecution witnesses as con artists and crooks out for a buck.

Justice of the Peace Joe M. Bonaventure ruled that all charges in the 12-count complaint would remain against Simpson and co-defendants Clarence "C.J." Stewart and Charles "Charlie" Ehrlich. The case stemmed from a Sept. 13 confrontation in a casino hotel room from which Simpson and a group of men are accused of stealing items from two sports memorabilia dealers.

"This is what we expected," Simpson told The Associated Press before he left the courtroom. "If I have any disappointment, it's that I wish a jury was here. As always, I rely on the jury system."

Spoken like a true killer who beat the system. Here's to the Butcher of Brentwood having a distinctively different experience, and outcome, this time.

Today's Illegal Alien Moments: Attempted Murder and Child Rape

Notice in this first story that only the illegal alien drug smugglers were shooting. The federal and border patrol agents apparently did not. Not did they catch their car-stealing, drug-smuggling attempted murderers. After all, if you go after people like that, you just might end up in jail like Ramos and Compean.

Pot smugglers fire on helicopter near border

YUMA — Smugglers who abandoned two truckloads of marijuana along the Colorado River after crossing into the United States fired shots at a helicopter carrying federal agents but missed, authorities said...As a U.S. Customs and Border Protection helicopter carrying Border Patrol and CBP agents flew nearby to help agents on the ground, a number of shots were fired at the aircraft, apparently from across the river, agents said.

The Border Patrol said neither agents nor the chopper were hit and that the pilot moved the aircraft to safety. Agents seized 175 bundles of marijuana that weighed almost 2,300 pounds from the two vehicles that were left behind. The pot has an estimated street value of more than $1.8 million, the Border Patrol said. Both vehicles had been reported stolen.

In the meantime, border patrol agents did arrest someone--a convicted child rapist walking back into this country.

Jose Cruz-Garcia, a 32-year-old Mexican citizen, was taken into custody on a charge of rentry into the country by an aggravated felon after agents spotted him in the desert west of Nogales, said Border Patrol Agent Dove Haber. Cruz-Garcia had been convicted of rape of a child in 1998 in Washington and was sentenced to a year in jail, Haber said...He is being held in a federal detention facility awaiting formal removal proceedings in a federal court, Haber said, adding a judge could order his removal or deportation.

Under removal he could not apply for permission to re-enter the United States for 10 years. If he is deported he could not apply to re-enter the country for about 20 years, Haber said.

LMAOROTF! "Apply" for reentry?! Hahahahahahahahah!! Oh, and what part of hell did we visit when we decided that rape of a child is worth only one year in jail? If you touch a child you should be executed. Plain and simple. One year in jail. 10 years ago and we catch him in 2007 coming back over. The number of times he's been back and forth, and the children he's raped in the last ten years, is a number we probably don't even want to contemplate.

Yeah, no reason whatsoever for a physical fence. All it would do is keep drug-smuggling vans from being able to drive across the border and it just might make it a tad more difficult for child-raping beasts to stroll on over.

According to the plea bargain statement by one of the morons who thought having OJ Simpson as a 'friend' was a good idea, it was Simpson who wanted guns at his memorabilia 'sting' in Vegas. That's called a "conspiracy." It's also called bad news for the man who got away with murder. I just think it's sweet that his own sports memorabilia may be his ultimate undoing. Keep your fingers crossed and be grateful none of this is happening in the Los Angeles county 'justice' system, a disaster Michael Jackson, Simpson, Robert Blake and Phil Spector have come to know and love.

Report: Simpson wanted armed men during armed robbery

O.J. Simpson wanted armed men with him when he confronted two sports memorabilia dealers, according to a co-defendant who pleaded guilty and has agreed to testify for the prosecution in the armed robbery case..."O.J. said 'Hey, just bring some firearms,"' Walter Alexander told police in a transcript of his tape-recorded statement obtained by The Associated Press.

"He said ... 'we won't have to use 'em, but ... just to look tough, you know, so that these people know that, you know, we're here for business,"' Alexander said.

Simpson, McClinton, Stewart and Ehrlich are scheduled for a preliminary hearing Nov. 8 in Las Vegas Justice Court on nine felonies and one gross misdemeanor charge, including kidnapping, armed robbery, assault with a deadly weapon and conspiracy. A kidnapping conviction carries the possibility of life in prison with parole.

Simpson, 60, of Miami, faces one additional felony charge of coercion stemming from allegations that he took Fromong's cellphone...

Alexander, a real estate salesman from Mesa, Ariz., and Simpson's golfing buddy, has agreed to plead guilty to conspiracy to commit robbery, a felony that could result in a sentence of one to six years in prison. Clark County District Attorney David Roger said Alexander could receive a suspended sentence and be eligible for probation. He also said prosecutors will send a letter on Alexander's behalf to boards of realty in return for his cooperation.

I'm just surprised it took ten years for the Butcher of Brentwood to finally screw up seriously enough where we finally get another shot at him.
