Freedom Tower Plans Found In Trash

freedom-tower-1.jpg

We can thank a homeless man for finding them and turning them in. These plans, as you can imagine, are confidential and reveal the nature of the Freedom Tower schematics. Considering we're speaking about a new building that terrorists would also want to destroy, there's a reason these support and constructions details are supposed to be secret.

That homeless New Yorker should be given a new life, help for whatever has made him homeless, medical care for addiction, money, a free apartment, whatever he needs as a thank you for coming forward with this.

Report: NYC Freedom Tower plans found in trash

NEW YORK - A homeless man has come forward with two sets of confidential ground zero blueprints that he says were dumped in a Lower Manhattan trash can.

The man brought the Freedom Tower plans to the New York Post, which says the 150-page schematic is marked: "Secure Document — Confidential."

The documents are dated Oct. 5, 2007. They contain plans for each floor, the thickness of the concrete-core wall, and the location of air ducts, elevators, electrical systems and support columns.

No Wonder the World Hates Us

Sometimes we must simply admit how evil we are. Running roughshod over the world, caring only about ourselves, not considering for one second the negative impact we have on the world, to say nothing of ruining the lives of little children. Yeah, with stories like this, isn't it about time we stop messing around with other peoples lives and retreat so the world can once again have a good time?

Five-Year-Old Boy Feels 'Very Well' After Having Peach-Sized Brain Tumor Removed

NEW HYDE PARK, N.Y. — A 5-year-old Peruvian boy rushed to Long Island for surgery to remove a peach-sized brain tumor said he felt "very well" less than a week after the procedure.

Sebastian Jimenez Pina praised the doctors who treated him -- and the congressman who helped get him to them -- at a news conference Wednesday at Schneider Children's Hospital, where he underwent the operation Dec. 27.

"The hospital and the doctors were very good," the boy said in Spanish.

His physicians, Dr. Mark Mittler and Dr. Mark Atlas, said Sebastian would have died quickly without the surgery. It removed the tumor protruding from his right temple and two other, smaller ones on his head.

Yeah, and I bet you we waterboarded that little boy ahead of time to make sure he said nice things about the doctors.

Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!

My sister...My bride!

Maureen McCormick. Hmmm...yep.

Three words as uttered by Jan which will forever have a new meaning.

Brady Bunch Star Reveals All About Lesbian Fling With TV Sister

Wholesome former THE BRADY BUNCH star MAUREEN MCCORMICK is set to reveal the beloved 70s TV series' most shocking secret in a new book - she and her on-screen sister had a lesbian fling. MCCormick's tell-all, Here's The Story, won't hit bookstores until 2008, but publishers are already buzzing about the big reveal. As well as talking candidly about her well-documented eating disorder and drug problems in the book, TV's Marcia Brady will come clean about a romance she had with co-star Eve Plumb, who played her sister Jan on the hit show. A source tells America's National Enquirer, "The most explosive comments will be how the then-blonde, blue-eyed cutie developed a crush on Eve Plumb, which led to some sexual play. "This book will certainly come as a shocker. While Maureen is not a lesbian [of course not!--T], she reveals there were some sexual hijinks going on behind the scenes. "It's bizarre because she played such a virginal character on the show."

Jan, Jan, Jan!

Stay away from my nuts!
The Tiny Gay Squirrel says: "And Hillary's not gay, either. She just likes Jan. A lot."

How You Can Help The Burned Iraqi Boy

youssif.jpg

Youssif, before and after the attack.

The story of the boy set on fire by "masked men" in Iraq was heartbreaking. While CNN and other new outlets euphemise the attackers, the brutal, mindless torture bears all the hallmarks of al-Qaida,

The good news today is, thanks to a children's burn charity, Youssif is going to get a second chance, and you can help make the difference.

Help is on the way for Youssif

The Children's Burn Foundation -- a non-profit organization based out of Sherman Oaks, California, that provides support for burn victims locally, nationally and internationally -- has agreed to pay for the transportation for Youssif and his family to come to the United States and to set up a fund so you can donate. The foundation says it will cover all medical costs -- from surgeries for Youssif to housing costs to any social rehabilitation that might be needed for him. Surgeries will be performed by Dr. Peter Grossman, a plastic surgeon with the affiliated-Grossman Burn Center who is donating his services for Youssif's cause.

Officials are still trying to get the appropriate visas for his travels. Youssif could be in the United States for up to a year for the various treatments he needs.

When informed of the news in Baghdad, Youssif ran around his house, saying, "Daddy, daddy, am I really going to get on a plane?!"

Youssif's father was also cheered by the news. "I feel like I am going to fly from happiness," his father told CNN's Arwa Damon, who reported the story on what happened to Youssif.

Here's the Children's Burn Center site if you would like to make a donation. Under "Honor/Memorial Gift Information" there's a drop down menu for Youssif's fund.

Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Supports the Troops

coffeebean.gif

Looks like I'll be getting my coffee at the Coffee Bean, at least until September 3rd, which is how long their great promotion in support of our troops will be running. SondraK has the details, with a HT to The Ugly American. Buying coffee for the troops is a top priority and this is an easy and smart way to do it. Visit the following link for additional information and details. It is important to support businesses who make decisions like this. Stabucks has yet to make any special effort to support our heroes. Perhaps I can get to like the Coffee Bean coffee during this period of time.

coffee, tea or SondraK???

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is currently running a wonderful promotion at all of their in-store locations.

Donate a purchased pound of Coffee Bean coffee or tea to Soldiers’ Angels and in turn they will take 10% off your entire order.

The promotion runs through the end of Monday, September 3rd.

I myself ponyed up a pound of eye-opening Sumatra while purchasing my usual Friday morning iced latte.

Speaking as someone who suffered through 8 years of Navy coffee, I think this is a really awesome way to say “Thank You” to all of our brave men and women currently serving overseas : )

I'm Uncovered Meat. Are You?

I do love us. In honor of American ingenuity and the free market, some Smarty Pants has already figured out a way to mock Australia's "Women Are Uncovered Meat" Muslim cleric and make money at the same time. Their invention:

meat.jpg

Yes, you, too, can have this little Uncovered Meat Kitty on apparel of all sorts, including a thong, boxers, t-shirts, and even a BBQ chef's apron.

Here's their pitch, reminding us first about the Islamist's comments explaining why rape victims are the ones at fault, comparing them to "uncovered meat." The burqa, you see, covers up all that meat, keeping the "cats" (rapists) away:

"If you take uncovered meat and put it on the street, on the pavement, in a garden, in a park, or in the backyard, without a cover and the cats eat it, then whose fault will it be, the cat’s, or the uncovered meat’s? The uncovered meat is the disaster. If the meat was covered the cats wouldn’t roam around it. If the meat is inside the fridge, they won’t get it."

-Sheik Hilaly, Post-Ramadan Sermon, Sydney Australia 2006

Show the Sheik how things really are and Sheik your Booty in this quality Infidel Clothing.

Manufactured in the Great Satan, all proceeds go towards forbidden consumption of alcohol.

I'm there!

Soldier Gives His Purple Heart to Reporter Dozier

As the National Media slobbers orgiastically over charges of murder against our Marines, and seem suspicious and even disappointed in the news of Ishaqi incident, where our troops exonerated after murder accusations, an anonymous soldier proves once again how incredible our troops really are. This one young man walked into the U.S. military hospital in Germany and gave his Purple Heart to wounded reporter Kimberly Dozier.

Soldier Gives His Purple Heart to Dozier

Kimberly Dozier, the CBS reporter wounded by a car bomb in Iraq, now has a Purple Heart at her bedside in a U.S. military hospital in Germany after a young American soldier gave her his medal, the network said..."A young American soldier came up to Kimberly's brother Michael and told him that he had met Kimberly in Iraq two years ago after he had been wounded with shrapnel in his arm," CBS said without identifying the soldier. "The soldier had his Purple Heart with him, and he told Michael that he'd like Kimberly to have it because, he said, she's suffered as much as any soldier. That Purple Heart is now beside Kimberly's bed."

You won't find this story splashed about on Page One of international media for days and days because it portrays a soldier as compassionate and caring. And that truth certainly does not suit the National Media at all. And I wonder how many press conferences John Murtha will have about this situation. I think it's safe for all of us to guess that number will be zero.

When A Criminal Is A Hero

Matthew Hahn speaks to a Mercury News reporter from inside Elmwood jail

I know we're all Law & Order types here, and for good reason. But when you read the story of what Matthew Ryan Hahn did after he allegedly broke into a home and burglarized it, well, it's undeniable this guy deserves a break. His heroic actions should eclipse any punishment he is supposed to receive as a potential third-stirker.

Men Rescue Man's Best Friend

We have a couple of heroes in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. I usually share with you heroics of our furry friends. After all, there are plenty of times when the dog or cat save their human friends. This time, it was a police officer and construction worker who came to the rescue.

Men Rescue Dog Frozen to Railroad Tracks

CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. - He's missing a lot of hair, but a Siberian husky has a new name and a new life, thanks to a construction worker and police officer who rescued him from a railroad track minutes before a train arrived.

Jeremy Majorowicz thought it was a little strange that the dog had been sitting on the track for an hour-and-a-half in the cold, and stranger still that he wouldn't accept a bite of muffin...

That had to be the giveaway. If I ever refuse a bite of muffin, call the police for me, too, okay?

Dogs Help Bring Comfort to New Orleans

Now while for some in the Gulf States, Christmas the day may be missed this year, there is still plenty of Christmas spirit.

Via Reuters:

NEW ORLEANS - Now New Orleans has really gone to the dogs.

A group of pet owners from Virginia and New York has brought their "therapy" dogs to the storm-stricken city to work with the Federal Emergency Management Agency to bring Christmas cheer to stressed-out victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Volunteers from Hope Animal-Assisted Crisis Recovery arrived in New Orleans this week with a dozen dogs and have been making the rounds at FEMA disaster recovery centers where aid seekers and relief workers are welcome to pet the pups and take their mind off the gloom and doom wrought by the killer storm.

"People open up to you when you have a dog. They'll come over, pet the dog, then tell us about their own pets that they may have had, or still have, or that they may have lost in the storm," said Hope spokeswoman Dawn Eischen.

Yeah. Dogs and cats very well may be God's secret weapon against the bad things that happen.
