Hillary Gives Paul Revere a Sex-Change

As you know, while I won't be voting for her, I do hope she's the Dem nominee. Not because she'll be easier for McCain to beat (she won't) but because the Dem has a good chance to win, and if that happens at least we'll have a president in office who at least doesn't hate this country. That said, what the hell is wrong with her? Actually, I may have answer. I am growing convinced that the woman is utterly and completely self-destructive. Each day either previous gaffes are made worse, or new ones are introduced. No one can be this ridiculously inept unless there is a subconscious desire for failure. And she just may get it.

revere.jpeg

Paul Revere. Manhood intact. Not amused.

Case in point, she's just given a sex-change to Paul Revere. Just a few days after comparing herself to a fictional boxer who loses his fight in the end (genius!) she declared today during a speech at the Burbank, CA airport that she feels like "Paulette Revere." And why does she feel like an emasculated Revere? Because, well, read it for yourself.

Clinton: 'I Feel Like Paulette Revere'

"Senator Obama has been very timid and very unenthusiastic with doing anything with the economy," Clinton, D-N.Y., said at a tarmac press conference in Burbank, California on Thursday, "I feel like Paulette Revere -- the recession is coming, the recession is coming!"

The candidate, who was outraised by rival Obama, D-Ill., 2-1 in March, and will soon release her tax returns, was asked if she felt like her campaign was in financial crisis.

"We pay our bills," Clinton said. "We obviously have to scrutinize them and ask hard questions about them but, you know, we are doing fine. We have the money to compete we are doing everything we need to do to keep the campaign going."

So I guess that asking questions and scrutinizing bills explains why she was behind paying the medical insurance premiums for her staffers? Or was it sniper fire that kept her campaign from writing those checks?

Perhaps her call while riding horseback through the countryside should be "The creditors are coming! the creditors are coming!"

It doesn't stop there folks.

Hillary the Fabulist=Photoshop of the Day

AbsolutelyFabulist.jpg

Delightful Pic of the Day courtesy of Peep Kim.

Hillary, I am disturbed to report, very well may be a Fabulist. This is pretty serious, and quite different from simply disagreeing with someone on policy or style. It's not even really as simple as lying about something; it's making up a scenario out of whole cloth. Not spinning or shading the truth, but making making up a story completely. Most of us were wondering if she was capable of being a Fabulist with the Bosnian airport landing fantasy. This event, covered by hundreds of journalists and witnessed by thousands of others, including reporters, troops and government officials, as well as a certain comedian and guitar player, yet she described something that not only didn't happen, but was unrelated to the experience entirely. Now we have to ask, what is she capable of when it comes to events that have no witnesses?

New York Magazine gives us some background on Hillary as Fabulist, as does ABC News. Here's a bit o the New York piece. Truly, I felt Hillary was at least an acceptable mess and my preferred Dem nominee. Now McCain is looking better all the time.

Fabulist Hillary Clinton Gives Margaret Seltzer a Run for Her Money

When the National Archives released more than 11,000 pages of Hillary Clinton's daily schedule during her First Lady days last week, the press was pissy because much of it was heavily redacted, and boring to boot. "She received a gift basket sometime between 3:45 and 4:35 p.m., if all went according to schedule," the Washington Post sniped about the schedule that Newsday described as "bland, sanitized." Several days later, though, they've refocused (perhaps recalling that in a post-Spitzer-scandal age, Monica's sloppy sub-desk blow jobs are just sad and gross). As it turns out, Hillary may have a gift for embellishment! By which we mean flat-out invention of the whole-cloth variety.

Oh wait! I am so sorry. Hillary did see fire in Bosnia.

Snippery!

Obama Compares Wright to Martin Luther King

I kid you not. There is no other way to interpret Obama's choice of analogy here, effectively comparing the exposure of Wright as an America-hating racist and the appropriate excoriation of the man, to the assassination of Dr. King. The following Swamp headline does get it wrong--the comparison is not of OIbama to RFK, it's Wright to MLK, make no mistake.

Obama invokes RFK in distancing self from pastor

PLAINFIELD, Ind. – Sen. Barack Obama invoked Robert F. Kennedy on Saturday as he continued to try to distance himself from controversial statements made by his former pastor that are now widely circulating on the Internet.

"Bobby Kennedy gave one of his most famous speeches on a dark night in Indianapolis, right after Dr. King was shot," Obama said. "He stood on top of a car."

In reality, Kennedy, speaking in nearby Indianapolis on the night of April 4, 1968, spoke from the bed of a flatbed truck.

"He delivered the news that Dr. King had been shot and killed," Obama continued. "At the moment of anguish, he said we've got a choice. We've got a choice in taking the rage and bitterness and disappointment and letting it fester and dividing us further so that we no longer see each other as Americans, but we see each other as separate and apart and at odds with each other...

Saying "the forces of division have started to raise their ugly heads again," Obama began to point to his own former pastor from Trinity United Church of Christ on Chicago's South Side.

"I have a dream"="God damn America." Great job Barack Hussein Obama. Great job and simply stunning. Let's hope this is the beginning of the real Obama being exposed, and his undoing.

UPDATE:

Well, it seems Americans are indeed recognizing this for what it is, and rejecting Obama. His national lead among Democrats was 8 points yesterday. It has now plunged by an unprecedented 7 points overnight. Keep in mind, this drop is among his own supporters after a couple of days of Wright's venom being exposed, and Obama's credibility gap on what he knew and when he knew it. This highlights that despite our differences here in America, those differences are slight. Despite all our desire for change, Obama supporters also reject racist Hate America First rhetoric spewing from Barack Obama's 'spiritual adviser' and mentor. Good for them.

Obama and His Racist, America-Hating "Pastor"

obamawright.jpg

The very cozy Obama and Wright.

**Television programming note**: Gateway Pundit is noting that Major Garrett will have Barack Obama tonight on Hannity & Colmes/Fox News to discuss the Wright situation. They also have the full collection of Wright video spew. Perhaps now we know the real reason the Obama campaign has been desperate to paint Hillary and her supporters as 'racist'--to distract from their own ugly, racist underbelly.

After working feverishly to ignore the extraordinary racist, hate-filled comments by Barack Hussein Obama's "pastor", Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr., they finally have been forced to admit he exist. Initially, Obama refused to outright condemn comments that ranged from urging black Americans to sing "God damn America," to proposing the theory that America engineered the AIDS virus to genocide people of color and deliberately distributes drugs to me of color, and that America is a terrorist nation. When you hear these remarkably paranoid assertions Michelle Obama's paranoid and America-hating rants make a lot more sense. After all, this is the man who has been Obama's mentor for 20 years, married the Obamas, and baptized their daughters (which means those two bright little girls are exposed to this racist, hate-based insanity.

Ron Kessler, who is associated with the McCain campaign, provided an opinion piece in today's WSJ, the first national newspaper to address this remarkable relationship between the leading Democrat candidate and a hate-monger:

Obama and the Minister

In a sermon delivered at Howard University, Barack Obama's longtime minister, friend and adviser blamed America for starting the AIDS virus, training professional killers, importing drugs and creating a racist society that would never elect a black candidate president.

The Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr., pastor of Mr. Obama's Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, gave the sermon at the school's Andrew Rankin Memorial Chapel in Washington on Jan. 15, 2006...Mr. Wright thundered on: "America is still the No. 1 killer in the world. . . . We are deeply involved in the importing of drugs, the exporting of guns, and the training of professional killers . . . We bombed Cambodia, Iraq and Nicaragua, killing women and children while trying to get public opinion turned against Castro and Ghadhafi . . . We put [Nelson] Mandela in prison and supported apartheid the whole 27 years he was there. We believe in white supremacy and black inferiority and believe it more than we believe in God." [...]

As for Mr. Wright's repeated comments blaming America for the 9/11 attacks because of what Mr. Wright calls its racist and violent policies, Mr. Obama has said it sounds as if the minister was trying to be "provocative."

Hearing Mr. Wright's venomous and paranoid denunciations of this country, the vast majority of Americans would walk out. Instead, Mr. Obama and his wife Michelle have presumably sat through numerous similar sermons by Mr. Wright.

Indeed, Mr. Obama has described Mr. Wright as his "sounding board" during the two decades he has known him. Mr. Obama has said he found religion through the minister in the 1980s. He joined the church in 1991 and walked down the aisle in a formal commitment of faith.

The title of Mr. Obama's bestseller "The Audacity of Hope" comes from one of Wright's sermons. Mr. Wright is one of the first people Mr. Obama thanked after his election to the Senate in 2004. Mr. Obama consulted Mr. Wright before deciding to run for president. He prayed privately with Mr. Wright before announcing his candidacy last year.

Mr. Obama obviously would not choose to belong to Mr. Wright's church and seek his advice unless he agreed with at least some of his views. In light of Mr. Wright's perspective, Michelle Obama's comment that she feels proud of America for the first time in her adult life makes perfect sense.

Monica Need Not Apply

craigmugshot.jpg

Just when you thought it was safe to go to back into the bathroom.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Idaho Senator Larry Craig is currently seeking intern applications for the summer term, which runs from May to August. The application deadline is March 15, however if more time is needed for the application process, please contact Senator Craig's office for an extension.

"Interns have the chance to be an essential part of a working congressional office," said Craig. "They participate in the legislative process as well as ensure that constituent services run smoothly. For those interested in politics, it is an incredible opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at how our government functions while serving the people of Idaho."

OJ Simpson's Girlfriend Hospitalized With 'Severe Head Injury'

butcher.jpg

She apparently "keeps falling down." You know, like how Nicole kept throwing herself onto his fist. And how she fell down on that knife in 1994 so many damn times.

O.J. Simpson's Girlfriend Hospitalized With 'Severe Head Injury'

O.J. Simpson's girlfriend Christie Prody was hospitalized Tuesday in Miami for what police are calling a "severe head injury," Entertainment Tonight has reported.

An anonymous caller reported a woman falling and was taken by Fire Rescue to Baptist Hospital of Miami with a severe head injury, according to a police report obtained by the television show.

Prody had been "intoxicated and always falling down" during a trip this month to San Antonio, a witness told police, according to the report. She "went out for breakfast only to be found later that day in the hospital," a witness told police, according to ET.

Britney 'Screamed Throught the Night'

britney.jpg

Yeah, and I probably will, too, until November. And then who knows, maybe afterward.

Sectioned Britney Spears: Now court lets father takes control of her millions

Britney Spears has lost control of her assets after a Los Angeles court commissioner placed her estate under temporary conservatorship.

This follows the actions of her desperate parents Jamie and Lynne Spears who went to court this morning to try regain control of their daughter's finances from her manager Sam Lufti.

He is now banned from seeing her under a 22-day civil harrassment restraining order that will prevent him from visiting the hospital she is being treated in...Britney was committed to a hospital in Los Angeles in the early hours of Tuesday morning following months of erratic behaviour that saw a court deny her access to her two sons....

Miss Spears, who reportedly had not slept for five days before being committed, endured a traumatic first night under psychiatric care following her hospitalization.

"She hasn't adjusted well," the source said, adding: "The first night, she barely slept. She was up most of the night screaming for Adnan. It's obvious she really loves him – or she thinks she does, anyway." [...]

Since her admission, Britney has been branded "gravely disabled," a term used to indicate a patient is unable to properly care for themselves as a result of a mental disorder.

Ron Paul: The Racist, Sexist Homophobe 'Libertarian'?

Covered in most political places on nets, Pajamas has coverage of the New Republic's expose on a man who has been dismissed merely as the Crazy Uncle. Well, now he is being portrayed as the Crazy Closed-Minded Troofer Bigot Uncle.

You all should know I am not a fan of Paul. His ludicrous attitude about world affairs can be summed up with his comment in one of the early debates that the September 11th hijackers weren't associated with any group or country. He is a ridiculous man offering an absurd worldview. Read the New Republic article completely as opposed to allowing some blog coverage to determine your understanding of what this is. Some of his quotes are questionable, some simple are not. Politically incorrect, yes, but reflective of every "ism" in world? I don't think so.

Ron Paul Bigotry Revolution

A damning New Republic expose on Ron Paul shows the “libertarian” Republican candidate to be a racist, a homophobe and an anti-Semite. Will his diehard supporters continue to defend a man who called Martin Luther King a gay pedophile? Daniel Koffler, a former Paul sympathizer, has a compendium of the Texas congressman’s creepiest hits, pulled straight from his decades-old newsletter.

James Kirchick of the New Republic has a devastating piece on Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) online today on the TNR website. Kirchick provides a meticulously detailed history of the “Ron Paul Political Report,” a newsletter Paul had circulated to a network of some 7,000 subscribers from the late 80s and early 90s.

As Kirchick reports—whether describing post-apartheid South Africa as a “destruction of civilization,” alleging that Martin Luther King “seduced underage girls and boys,” warning of “tens of thousands of well-placed friends of Israel in all countries who are willing to wok [sic] for the Mossad in their area of expertise,” or urging white readers to arm themselves after “the first skirmish in the race war of the 1990s,”—virtually every historic trope of racism, anti-Semitism, anti-gay bigotry, or conspiracy theorizing has been featured in the “Ron Paul Political Report” in one way or another. For his part, Paul has alternately acknowledged writing some of the material that went out under his name, only to deny authorship when confronted with the most disturbing details. In any case, Paul has taken “moral responsibility” for the contents of the “Ron Paul Political Report.” What follows is a quick digest of some of his greatest, which is to say most disgraceful, hits.

Depends on What the Meaning of "Saw" Is

romney.jpg

The meaning of what is what saw who? Where?

I've noted Romney reminds me of Clinton. I couldn't exactly put into words how or why, he just does. Now we have a tiny example of exactly how Clintonian Romney really is.

There's been a bit of an understandable kerfuffle about Romney mentioning his father marching with Martin Luther King, Jr. The problem is, the elder Romney never did. Romney explained the fantasy faux pas that he was speaking "figuratively, not literally" about "seeing" his father march with King. The problem with his initial claim is the fact that Mitt Romney was in France doing missionary work during King's appearance in Detroit, the same appearance Romney claims his father "marched" in. Still, Romney is sticking by his claim that his father did indeed march with King, despite no record of that fact.

Romney sticks to belief in King, dad

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney said Thursday he was speaking figuratively when he said he had seen his father, former Michigan Gov. George Romney, march in civil rights demonstrations with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

But he indicated that he still believes his father, widely acknowledged as an advocate for an end to discrimination against African Americans, marched with King, even though witness accounts and reports in Free Press archives appear to contradict that claim.

Romney addressed the issue while campaigning in Iowa after news reports challenged his assertion in a speech Dec. 6 and subsequent interviews that he had seen his father march with King.

Asked about the reports, Romney said: "My own eyes? You know, I speak in the sense of I saw my dad become president of American Motors. I wasn't actually there when he became president of American Motors, but I saw him in the figurative sense of he marched with Martin Luther King.

"My brother also remembers him marching with Martin Luther King, and so in that sense I saw him march with Martin Luther King."

Fascinatingly, Mitt Romney admits he can "see" things he wishes were the case. Well, let's try that. I see myself as a friend of Marilyn Monroe, a lunch buddy of Ayn Rand, and adviser to Margaret Thatcher. I also saw, or maybe dreamed, of playing tennis with Garbo and flying around with Howard Hughes.

Yeah, I saw myself doing all those things, so it must make it true! I like this game!

Jew-Hater Redgrave Funds Gitmo Terrorist Release in London

banna.jpeg

Terrorist Jamil El Banna. Something tells me he won't be applying for that mall Santa job.

Here's a blast from the past: Marxist, actor and Jew-hater Vanessa Redgrave actually made the release of this monster possible. I suppose she feels especially safe because no one in her family takes buses in Israel or in London, or eats at falafel and pizza parlors in Jerusalem. How nice for them. Why am I not surprised that she feels a protective kinship with the terrorists at Gitmo?

Drug-Addict, Wife Beater Ike Turner Dies

Good riddance. Via the controversial New York Post headline, if a freak like Turner is going to 'beat' a woman to death, let it be like this.

'No comment' says Tina Turner as Ike dies

Ike Turner, the legendary American musician who was perhaps better known for his abusive relationship with his former wife, Tina Turner, than for his contribution to the history of rock’n’roll, died at his home in San Diego last night at the age of 76. It was not immediately known what caused his death.

Tina Turner declined to comment on her former husband’s death. “Tina is aware that Ike passed away earlier today. She has not had any contact with him in 35 years. No further comment will be made,” said her spokeswoman, Michele Schweitzer...

It was Turner’s relationship with a mixed-race Tennessee girl called Anna Mae Bullock, that came to define his public image — much to his later despair and frustration. [His despair?!] [...]

The relationship with Tina was doomed, with Turner allegedly cheating on his wife and becoming addicted to cocaine. The drug addiction culminated in his allegedly beating his wife before a concert in Dallas in 1976. Tina Turner later described how she fled with only 36 cents and a petrol station credit card and spent months in hiding...

His career recovered slightly in his twilight years but many found his denials of abuse towards his wife unconvincing. In his 2001 autobiography, Taking Back My Name, Turner wrote: “Sure, I've slapped Tina. There have been times when I punched her to the ground without thinking. But I never beat her.”

As I said, good effing riddance.

AP Slobbers All Over Hillary After Hostage Crisis

After reading this story, I feel like I need a cigarette and a shower. And they didn't even buy me dinner.

Clinton Calm in Hostage Crisis

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (AP) - When the hostages had been released and their alleged captor arrested, a regal-looking Hillary Rodham Clinton strolled out of her Washington home, the picture of calm in the face of crisis...the Democratic presidential contender can face disorder in a most orderly manner...

...It was a vintage example of a candidate taking a negative and turning it into a positive...

...Clinton immediately canceled her trip and began working the phones...she had New Hampshire Gov. John Lynch, a fellow Democrat, on the phone in eight minutes...Clinton continued to call up and down the law enforcement food chain...the woman striving to move from former first lady to the first female president was eager to convey that she knew the traditional lines of command and control in a crisis... Along with taking charge while giving the professionals free rein, Clinton offered up a third dimension to her crisis character: humanity. She said she felt "grave concern" when she first heard the news of the hostage-taking.

...Clinton sought to use the sad moment as a national teaching opportunity, another skill often employed by presidents...She paid tribute to the thousands of believers...

And then she parted the Red Sea, rescued the Jews from the hands of the Pharaoh, raised Lazarus from the dead, and then walked on water back to Iowa.

[AP] EDITOR'S NOTE—Glen Johnson has covered local, state and national politics since 1985. He covers the 2008 presidential race for The Associated Press. [And is obviously completely objective. I'm sure he doesn't even know who he's voting for yet. If he does, it sure is a good thing he doesn't let it affect his coverage as a 'journalist'.]

Was it as good for you as it was for him?

Fallen Marine's Father Wins Lawsuit; Homophobe Phelps Ordered to Pay Up

A jury in Kansas just reminded people everywhere, to the tune of an $11 million dollar judgment, that anti-gay bigotry and attacks on this nation and our heroes will not be tolerated. Not only is this verdict a statement against lunatics like Phelps, it is a message from the heartland of our nation that tolerance and genuine compassion is at our core; not the sick fanaticism of a few disturbed malcontents. I am so proud of us.

Father of slain Marine wins case against funeral protesters

The brokenhearted father of a Marine killed in Iraq won a long-shot legal fight today after a federal jury in Baltimore awarded him nearly $11 million in a verdict against members of a Kansas church who hoisted anti-gay placards at his son's Westminster funeral.

The jury's announcement 24 hours after deliberations first began was met with tears and hugs from the family and supporters of Lance Cpl. Matthew Snyder, whose March 2006 funeral was protested by members of the Westboro Baptist Church with signs including "Thank God for dead soldiers."

Snyder's father, Albert, won on every count of his complaint, as well as $2.9 million for compensatory damages and $8 million for punitive damages...

The Marine's father from York, Pa., sued the church and three of its members for intentionally invading his privacy because his deceased son did not have that right any longer. For the claim to be successful, the jury needed to conclude that the church's actions at the funeral -- and later, in a posting about Matthew Snyder on its Web site -- were "highly offensive to a reasonable person," according to the jury instructions.

Indeed.

Ellen DeGeneres: Slayer of Puppies!

A note by Maynard

The Ellen DeGeneres story has pretty much been beaten to death, but Tammy offered some insights on her show that bear repeating. The tension between Ellen and the puppy rescuer exemplifies a greater struggle in our culture (or, for that matter, in any culture): The individual versus the busybody.

I'm going to paraphrase the essence of Tammy's comments (and I hope she'll correct me if I misrepresent her), and carry on with my own editorializing:

A puppy rescuer must be an obsessed person. It's not a task to be picked up lightly. You've got to go to the shelters again and again, and you're going to see a lot of doomed dogs who you'll have to abandon to their fates. If you don't love dogs, you wouldn't do it. If you do love dogs, you'll be tearing your hair out and crying yourself to sleep.

So the people who embark upon these charitable missions are going to be a bit unusual. They're driven to do something that the rest of us wouldn't or couldn't do. And if we want to work with them, we need to start by understanding their needs. This is the tolerance thing that we hear so much of these days.

And then there are the Ellens of the world.

Ellen thinks she's being reasonable. Sure, she contracted with a puppy rescuer who insisted on placing dogs into families without young kids. But Ellen thought that was a silly stipulation, just a piece of paper she signed, so she didn't consider herself bound by it. Ellen thinks the puppy rescuer acted wrongfully in enforcing that provision. Ellen acknowledges the rash of death threats are "not okay", but she understands the passions that prompted those threats.

If the puppy rescuer were to throw up her hands and quit the business, Ellen would just shrug and figure the job will be picked up by somebody else. Somebody more reasonable.

Bill Maher Ejects Truthers From Audience

Good for him.

Maher boots protester from audience

Maher was talking science during one of his weekly panel discussions when a protester in his audience stood up, held up a smuggled-in sign reading "9/11 is a cover up fraud" and shouted comments to the same effect.

The host tried to shout down the audience member, who only became more agitated. "Do we have some (expletive) security in this building," Maher yelled, "or do I have to come down there and kick his (expletive)?"

When security reached the man's aisle and the man resisted leaving, Maher ran into the seats and helped them push him out the door, shouting "Out! Out! Out!" [...] After the instigators were ejected, Maher told his panelists — MSNBC's Chris Matthews, Los Angeles Times columnist Joel Stein and Congresswoman Sheila Jackson — that they often linger outside his studio to share 9/11 conspiracy theories with him and try to get into the show.

"It's the only time I defend Bush," he said.

Was Randi Rhodes Attacked By An Irish Pub?

rhodesad.jpg

Smashed?

After Air America's Randi Rhodes All-Fall-Down-Go-Boom morphed by other paranoid lefties into an attack by some "Right Wing Hate Machine" Goon Squad, the truth slowly oozed out. Sort of.

First, Air America and Rhodes clarified that she fell down all by herself and it was not a "hate crime" (radio talk show hosts are now a protected class? Yippee!), supposedly while walking her dog. But now an anonymous contributor at Gawker has a post with more details that sound as good as the imagined Goon Squad, and therefore too good to check:

Randi Rhodes was no more assaulted by a right-wing fanatic on Monday than Dick Cheney was. She, in fact, fell down and injured her teeth outside of a Midtown Irish bar at around 6 o'clock Sunday evening after downing about fourteen Ketel One Bloody Marys. She was abusive to the barstaff and generally gross, crass, loud, and pretentious. I genuinely hope she has a speedy recovery. I never would've disclosed this (I believe that anyone should feel free to hang out at Irish pubs at any time and not be concerned about someone publishing their behavior) if Air America hadn't grossly interpreted a drunken indiscretion and allowed it to be morphed into some bullish rhetoric on air. Whatever journalistic integrity the station may have ever had is now completely compromised. The manipulation of the public diminishes any cause, whether just or fabricated.

Let's see, what's more likely? Miserable Leftist falls down and smashes teeth after:

A) Getting jumped by Conservative Muggers.

B) Getting Jumped by her dog and the sidewalk, simultaneously.

C) Getting Jumped by an Irish Pub.

Hmm, let me think....one second here. They're all so possible. Wait. Sheesh. Okay, okay, I say...C?

Stop the Empire State Bldg from Going Green for Ramadan

esb.jpg

Yes, you heard me right. Now the tallest building in New York, because Islamists knocked down the other two tallest building in New York in their act of mass murder, will be commemorating the end of Ramadan by going green from Friday through Sunday. This must stop. This act is an insult to every who dies on September 11, but to the 4,000 plus who have died fighting Islamists since then. But there's a bigger issue: all this pandering sends a message to the enemy and everyone else that we must feel guilty about something, which of course, confirms in the minds of the genocidal enemy that they're right to kill us.

You can make a difference. The Empire State Building has a comment page on their website. Use it. Be respectful, but convey your opinion about this act. It has nothing to do with Islam and everything to do with a pandering which places lives in danger.

Both LGF and Debbie Schlussel have been on the case.

Ahmadinejad Slithers Around New York

Making all the "progressives," who sadly missed the 1930s and with it their chance to invite Hitler to speeches and parties, really excited.

My favorite "progressive" apologist and defender of Ahmadinejad this morning is Juan Cole over at Salon. Here my friends, is moral relativism and nihilism manifest:

There is, in fact, remarkably little substance to the debates now raging in the United States about Ahmadinejad. His quirky personality, penchant for outrageous one-liners, and combative populism are hardly serious concerns for foreign policy. Taking potshots at a bantam cock of a populist like Ahmadinejad is actually a way of expressing another, deeper anxiety: fear of Iran's rising position as a regional power and its challenge to the American and Israeli status quo [yeah--like existence--T]. The real reason his visit is controversial is that the American right has decided the United States needs to go to war against Iran. Ahmadinejad is therefore being configured as an enemy head of state.

Just to give you a reminder of what Cole considers a quirky populist. Some choice "one-liners" from Ahmadinejad:

"Anybody who recognizes Israel will burn in the fire of the Islamic nation's fury."

"Remove Israel before it is too late and save yourself from the fury of regional nations."

"The skirmishes in the occupied land are part of a war of destiny. The outcome of hundreds of years of war will be defined in Palestinian land. As the Imam said, Israel must be wiped off the map."

"If the West does not support Israel, this regime will be toppled. As it has lost its raison d' tre, Israel will be annihilated."

"Israel is a tyrannical regime that will one day will be destroyed."

"Israel is a rotten, dried tree that will be annihilated in one storm."

Personally I find Jew-hatred, threats of mass destruction, and misogyny, all hallmarks of every Islamic regime, repulsive and worthy of derision and rejection. Who knew this is why a Democrat like me would be at such odds with today's co-called "liberals."

In the meantime, the 'progressives' over at the "new, mainstream Democratic voice" website DailyKos are engaging in their own little lovefest.

B-Actor Streisand Hubby Says "Happy 9/11!"

While on a radio show promoting a new B-film or TV show or something, aging Streisand husband James Brolin not only had to be reminded about the September 11th anniversary, he then wishes everyone a "Happy 9/11!" That pretty much illustrates what the left thinks of that day. (HT Breitbart).

Brolin makes fun of 9/11

UPDATE:

Over at SondraKistan The Ugly American has created a picture which perfectly illustrates Brolin's, uh, frame of mind.

Larry Craig Confirms He's At Least Bi-Minded, On Everything

craigmugshot.jpg

Larry Craig's mugshot

So, he's married and apparently trolling for sex with a man in a bathroom. He pleads guilty, but then says it was a mistake, and wants to get it reversed. And now for the capper: he says he's "rethinking" resigning from the senate.

Next thing you know he's gonna want that sex-change operation.

Craig Reconsiders Decision to Resign

BOISE, Idaho (AP) - Sen. Larry Craig is reconsidering his decision to resign after his arrest in a Minnesota airport sex sting and may still fight for his Senate seat, his spokesman said Tuesday evening.

"It's not such a foregone conclusion anymore, that the only thing he could do was resign," said Sidney Smith, Craig's spokesman in Idaho's capital.

"We're still preparing as if Senator Craig will resign Sept. 30, but the outcome of the legal case in Minnesota and the ethics investigation will have an impact on whether we're able to stay in the fight—and stay in the Senate."

Here's a message for Larry Craig--the men don't want you in the stall next to them, and we don't want you in the senate. Get a clue, and get out.
